Well this is a nice cabin. It has its little repairs that might need to be looked at. But if your a normal person this is a awesome spot, great view on patio , little creek running thru, first thing I heard when I arrived.
Had everything we needed. It does not have ac but ceiling fans all over and a couple portables also. There was also a portable swamp coller which we did not use. It was comfortable with windows open, I think timing is everything. All and all a great spot. I hope I can return to this cabin before the snow that the goal. Also wanted to say close to town but seemed out in the Stix, quiet,. If you know what I mean. Thankyou vacasa I will call again.

Super cute cabin, we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that would have made it better would be air conditioning, the loft room gets warm in the evening during the summer but the multiple ceiling fans throughout the cabin helps. The driveway down to the cabin is a little steep, not a big deal in the summer but could be scary in the winter if there's snow.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Deavers place- the location was convenient, but the road down was very slippy. We have a 4x4 but had to put chains on to get down. The views from the top of the drive and further down the main road were fabulous- great walk. The cabin itself was reasonable- it’s old and there are definitely signs of wear. It was fine but the shower wasn’t the best and the windows were single pane. We wish we had a lighter with us to use the wood stove- the central air did not warm up all rooms enough. Upstairs was toasty but one bedroom was freezing. The view from the upstairs was cute. Everything was good but updates to the kitchen equipment (didn’t like the plastic wine glasses) and a better shower unit would help. At the end of our stay we followed the instructions in the cabin to take the trash to the Vacasa office- we clarified with Vacasa after we had left and they told us to leave the trash in the house. Due to the need for snow chains to get back down we decided to not go back- was a little frustrating. We enjoyed our stay overall.

This was probably a great cabin 30 years ago. But now in need of repairs. Deck is crumbling, there are notices that the water is contaminated with asbestos, and the decor looks like the throwaways at Salvation army. Unless you are desperate, avoid this place.

Great place to be with the family, it was a simple place very much a cabin experience.

This cabin is surrounded by nature. We saw a coyote and deer and found bones in the forest near the cabin. If we had not gotten fresh now there was no where to sled near the house with our 4 year old. After the fresh snow we used the driveway because it is steep. But all that fun we had sledding in the driveway is also why we got stuck. Our all wheel drive suv could not make it up the muddy slippery driveway after it had been plowed. We had to go get chains. The driveway is in desperate need of being repaved. There are cracks in the drywall in some of the rooms but mostly the upstairs loft. The central heat does not go to the 2 down stairs bedrooms and you need the space heaters. There was no hand soap or garbage bags provided. I would NOT recommend this. cabin to families with young children that just want to play in the snow. Being on my a steep hillside with a lot of trees and places to fall was not great with our kids. And while being surrounded by nature is beautiful it is also scary. One night when taking the dog out to potty she started growling at something in the dark I could not see while we were still on the deck.

Reservation was really easy. We arrived an hour before check-in time and attempted to contact rental agency about early check-in, but couldn't make contact. Everything else was great. Very nice place, very clean, and everything we needed.

The toilet in the upstairs bathroom is leaking. The receptacles in both bathrooms don’t work the door knob in the upstairs bathroom is falling off and the TV upstairs you can’t get to work.

This cabin made you feel like you were in the middle of the forrest but it was still close to town. The fully fenced in deck was great for the dogs. We also enjoyed the sound of the creek down below. The cabin had everything we needed and it was clean.

Amazing weekend getaway spot
Booked this spontaneous trip to Deaver’s place It’ in a Sw cluded area with a beautiful Mountain View. As your on the deck looking down you hear and see a small river. The Sunrise and Sunset you experience is breathtaking. Place was nice and clean and felt very comfortable and included TV’s, Wi-Fi, Guest Netflix etc. We had 5 adults and one child and we all had great time. Kitch was well equipped with utensils and kitchenware. Deck had plenty of space along with tables, chairs Bar B Que and firewood for the fireplace. We brought our food, music, drinks and good vibez. Believe me, the Deaver’s Place did not disappoint! Thank you for letting enjoy the weekend in this beautiful vacasa! We will definitely be coming back.

Lovely time
We had a great time with our 4 kids and 2 dogs! The cabin was spacious enough to spread out while still feeling connected. Great space around the cabin to sled and play in the snow. I would recommend to future guests that they bring basic cooking spices and oil’s.

Always a good time at Deaver's
This is not the first time we've rented this cabin, and what we love about it the most is the large deck, and privacy. You feel absolutely isolated in the woods even though it is not that far off the beaten path.

Great location, very peacefull!
Had a great time at Deaver's place. Very peaceful and relaxed. Really close to restaurants, gas, and all the associated requirements. Only a 10 minute drive to Shaver Lake (rent a pontoon!) about 30 minutes to Huntington Lake. This area is like a postcard. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous view!!!
This cabin is tucked away in the mountains and woods and is very private. We loved the high ceilings and open feel of the cabin and gorgeous scenery. My whole family had a good time and we are looking to return. . . .for sure.

My housemates and I (5 adults + our dog) stayed here for a long weekend. It fit our needs almost perfectly with the only exception being that the kitchen was lacking a few basic items like scissors and sharp knives. The cabin itself is simple and secluded. The photos don’t do it justice and the woods surround the whole property. There is a small yellow jacket problem but as long as we didn’t eat out on the deck it was okay. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This cabin is the perfect location--quiet and private in a tree filled property and only 5 minutes drive from the Shaver Lake town center. They provided ample towels, soap, shampoo, and dishsoap (dishsoap at least for 2 people--not sure how a family/group of 4 or something would do).I used it as a working getaway so I used the internet frequently, and it was mostly good. At times, I would lose connection but I only needed to disconnect/reconnect to the wifi on my computer and it would come back so it was only a minor inconvenience. A couple things to know, in case these matter to you:1) the non-stick coating on the most of the pots/pans is scratched. If you are driving in and plan to do a lot of stove cooking then you may want to bring a couple of your own. 2) The outdoor furniture is lacking. There are the 2 round tables with chairs that are coated metal. There are very thin cushions on a few, and no cushions on others. It's barely comfortable enough to eat, but definitely not comfortable enough to sit outside and read or enjoy the tree view for any length of time, which was disappointing (and I hope the owner would consider a very small investment in even just 2 chairs with a decent cushion for relaxing). In the meantime, if you have any camp chairs, you may want to bring them. 3) This is Vacasa, not the property--the propane ran out in the grill my first night and I called Vacasa at 8pm to request more. (I had a nice steak to grill, plus see above comment about pan coating) By 4pm the next day, the local Vacasa management had not called or been by, so I called the national number again, who escalated it. Someone then came by within 2 hours. So if you go run out of propane and need it refilled, do be assertive about calling about it. Overall it was a lovely visit and I would come back again--bringing a pot/skillet and camp chair!

Relaxing but a few things to know
This cabin was booked for the purpose of having a relaxing getaway and it was fulfilled. But a few things to know ahead of time is that there is no AC and some of the wooden flooring on the patio felt loose. Apart from that there was a lot of wasp on the patio so we really could not enjoy the outside of the cabin for long until dusk. Which was unfortunate for our children who were not able to enjoy it as much. The electric stove was a bit hard to cook on but overall was a good stay.

Perfect Place to Get Away!
This cabin is the perfect place to go to get away. We had the best vacation with our 3 children in it, and they didn't want to leave! We look forward to booking Deaver's Place again next year.

Nice and Secluded enough!
Great cabin with a great patio offering an amazing view of the woods! This cabin comfortably fits a family of at least 7 if you sleep 2 on any of the 3 beds (which will comfortably fit 2) and 1 on the single bed. The cabin has all the amenities and supplies you need, which will save you room and time when packing.
This cabin is for a family or group looking to be in quiet, forest scenery away from everyone else. Also, the town of shaver is only 6 mins away which makes picking up food and bringing it back very easy.
I would definitely book this cozy cabin again!

Shaver Lake mountain retreat with all the comforts of home !
Wonderful secluded mountain house with all the comforts for the end of the day when you get back, satellite TV in all four rooms, high speed internet, and great Verizon and AT&T and maybe others cell reception. In a great location close to everything. Vacasa was fantastic, had a little issue with the washer and they came out and repaired in half an hour, even offered to launder our clothes at their office and bring back just in case they weren't able to fix. Five stars !!!

My wife and I spent our 20yr Anniversary there this weekend. Its such a beautiful place with nature surrounding it. The cabin is very beautiful, located by its self. We are already looking to go back for New Years. The staff are amazing, keeping you up to date until you arrive. We are differently going back. Thanks
