Beautiful property with a rural feel but close to town and easy distance from Alton towers. Lots of home comforts, well equipped kitchen (included things that are often lacking (dish soap, dish clothes etc) and little ‘extras’ such as local milk, bread, butter, eggs and chocolates as a welcome pack. Perfect really.
As always in self catering accommodation the kitchen knives could be sharper! Very minor point

Information given for arrival. Excellent food package on arrival

Comfortable and spacious yet cosy. Sitting room has a lovely wood burning stove. Very well decorated and furnished and maintained well. Bread, milk, eggs, tea and coffee provided as well as soaps and shower gels in the bathroom. Beautiful surroundings with lots of places to visit within driving distance.
Some low beams and doorways on the ground floor to be wary of.

Spacious, comfortable and fantastic attention to detail!

A DREAM. we booked the barn and didn’t want to leave. It was perfect, clean, the best small touches, we all left beaming.

Really beautiful house with everything we needed for a luxury comfortable stay. wonderful location only 10 minute drive into Ashbourne for a lovely evening of dinner and drinks.

The location was ideal for Alton Towers and close to a wee town for food shopping. The property was beautiful and perfectly presented and clean with everything you could need for cooking a proper home from home.
No complaints.

Large living space and bedrooms. Clean and good appliances, cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge. Nicely located, quiet, with a small town nearby for essentials, restaurants etc.
Note: a refundable deposit for damages needed to be paid prior to arrival. First time we've needed to do this. But it was refunded promptly.
With an ethical vegan in the group it was disappointing there was no, or at least clear, information about this being a working animal farm (although we heard no noise). This information must be available on Booking.com. Luckily not a radical ethical vegan.
On the last night before leaving the bathroom sprang a leak in the middle of the night. Apparently this has happened before. Also lucky I had a screwdriver with me to be able to turn the water off. A permanent fix is clearly required.

Location was beautiful, just a little hard to find. Breakfast was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for what we needed it for.
I think the wifi could have been better, it kept cutting out.

Everything! All your free extras are so thoughtful. I will definitely be back as soon as I can be Thankyou for a lovely break x

The fresh bread, milk and eggs were delicious.
The log fire and the large bath was perfect for the chilly evenings.
The location was fabulous, I just wish we could have spent more time there.

The farm house has been converted really well, with excellent fixtures and fittings which really help give that very warm, welcoming and rustic feeling, just what we were after.
We were really surprised at the excellent WiFi and electric gates (20mbs - yes we checked haha), great speaker to play our music, a nice modern TV with Netflix and screen mirroring.
The sourdough, eggs and fresh milk on arrival were excellent and really appreciated.
The bathroom looks brand spanking new, excellent shower, great pressure and very toasty.
Oh and super comfy sofas!
Wish the heating was dialled up just a tad, but I do appreciate with the current energy prices making it difficult and we were provided with lots of logs and newspapers to use for the multiple fire places which were excellent.
Not a complaint but a suggestion, in the future an electric vehicle charging point would make this location hands down one of the best.
Special thanks to Pam who accommodated to all of our needs (arriving for a very late checking)

Spacious and clean, beautiful location. A bit chilly in the barn, particularly in the bedrooms but the two fireplaces downstairs kept the first floor toasty. Wonderful welcome pack and exceptionally comfortable mattresses. We highly recommend.
Would have preferred more cleaning supplies and flexibility to increase radiators, particularly upstairs in the twin bedded room. Blankets downstairs would increase initial warmth while waiting for the fireplace to take effect.

Beautiful attention to detail, very clean and comfortable.
There was nothing not to like.

Just spot on. Design & layout of Barn Perfect & Cosy .
Alot of thought gone into every little detail.
Morning hamper lovely along with the thoughtful Fresh Milk & Water from Farm 🚜
Then yo you it all, Hand made Chocolate in fridge 😋 Wonderful.
The spiral staircase. Needed to be set differently! Struggled to get Travel bag up to bedroom.

Excellent rural farm location with all the amenities we required, plus safe storage for our bicycles. Constsnt supplu of wood for the log burner, welcome food bundle on arrival including eggs, milk, bread, tea coffee.

The property was a very comfortable and hugely spacious barn conversion, perfect as a base for a break in the Peak District.
4.8
Great location and barn - interior was lovely, warm and welcoming. The self catering amenities were good (iron, blow dryer, kitchen utensils). Great little touches throughout the barn (first day breakfast welcome package, bath robes, etc)
There could have been extra lighting in the dining room and living room as it was slightly dark.
It would be good to have activities on the farm or a guide book/tour of the farm

We used the venue as a base for my wedding party and I to get ready before our ceremony in Ashbourne. Plenty of space for several of us to get ready. Really lovely surroundings for photos/walks and everything you’d need in the cottage. Great communication with owners too.
