I liked the level of service given to guests here. The rooms were cleaned always. And the view was amazing. Unfortunately we got food poisoning on the first night but probably not from the Chedi. We were looked after by the staff.
I think it os pricey and more expensive than any other hotel in elGouna without clear justification for that price. The pool isn’t big and the price only includes breakfast. However again the level of service was high like no other so may be that’s what makes the process higher than expected.

Where do I start - having never been to Egypt before - this was a fantastic introduction. We arrived in the dark so waking up in the morning to look out at the Red Sea across the beach and palm trees was magical. Then to stroll along the beach for an excellent breakfast. The loungers on the beach were the most comfortable I have ever used - absolutely no desire to go anywhere - what a great hotel.
Absolutely nothing to say here!

Nice design, really nice beach, furniture beautiful. Staff were excellent and extremely service minded and kind! Restaurants also all very good.
The only thing we missed was an opportunity to wash the sand away from your feet before entering your room (if you have a double straight in the beach). This was quite annoying, but apart from that - all wonderful. We did have an unpleasant surprise at check out, since the beauty center (not the spa) had charged our girls 50 usd extra for blow drys, which they thought were included in the hair treatment. For two hair masks, we were supposed to pay 130 usd! Outrageous considering the general prices and salaries in Egypt!

Wonderful property, great friendly staff, excellent food in each restaurant.
Breakfast is plentiful, fresh and delicious. The Beach House serves tasty dishes, and the appearance of the chef was appreciated.
The beachfront room was excellent, a short walk to the beach and to the pool. The staff definitely made the difference. I can't thank enough Moustapha for a very late check in and very early check out, Mylania at the main restaurant, Safwat and Mohammed at the Asian restaurant and Ayman at the Beach House.
Will definitely come back, as and when I can.

Everything was perfect!
The stuff was super friendly and was always asking for feedback if we liked breakfast/dinner, etc.
The Chedi mobile app was also great, it was possible to chat with reception any time and to book free activities which hotel was offering every day (boat trip, cooking class, etc)
The food at the beach club was average but in the main restaurants was really great

The breakfast is very good
This hotel made me uncomfortable from the first minute. The staff is incompetent or clumsy at best. Several incidents show that the management of this hotel will ruin the future of this hotel. I’ll list some of the issues we faced:
1. Inside my laptop bag, I found someone’s else invoice (of another room from two or three days before I checked in). This indicates that someone was going through my luggage and left that invoice in my bag by mistake. This incident made me very uncomfortable!!
2. I mentioned this issue to the front desk person (Macarius), who tried to find unreasonable excuses for me finding this invoice in my bag.
3. I upgraded my room to a room with direct access to the beach. I was expecting this to be one of the quieter rooms. Unfortunately, for one whole day noisy innovation works with a power drill and a sanding machine were carried out few meters away and spoiled one of the two full days I spent in the The Chedi.
4. The staff in the Restaurant occasionally argued with each other at a very high voice while using inappropriate language.
5. The late checkin policy essentially wastes a whole day. It makes no sense to check at 3:30 pm when the sun sets around 5:30.
6. Other clumsy incidents include being hit in my forehead mistakenly by the iron bar of the beach umbrella when the beach boy was trying to set it up. After the late checkin our two electronic keys did not function. Probably they were not activated and the bell boy had to go back to the front desk to activate them.
I checked out at 8:00 am and asked to speak to the manager of the Hotel but he was not available. I believe that most of the issues I have raised above are due to poor management. A hotel with such a potential deserves better management.

All was great, great view from the room which was very comfortable and good restaurants and pools with great service at the pool. The rooms are smart rooms and are pretty unique in design.
Only a small portion of the beach can be used for swimming. I booked a beachfront room and the photos were a bit misleading as I got a second floor beachfront and not a ground floor beachfront room which wasn't mentioned during reservation.

Nice big rooms. Good beds and pillows. Good design.
Not good service in the restaurant. Not professional and very slow. The menu is very limited. The beach is not good and very cold pool.

I travelled with my 18 year old daughter for our first holiday together since covid. We loved so much about the Chedi. The breakfast at the restaurant was exceptional, everything is so fresh and beautifully prepared in their open kitchen. We were greeted every morning by Wael, who knew exactly what we needed to start the day.
The gym was excellent, particularly the incredible Heba, who trained both of us from the first day. She was so attentive and caring but made sure we were toned by the time we left!
Mario at reception was so lovely and went above and beyond to cater to every need. The staff at the pool and the beach were great too, handing out the occasional free drink and Ibrahim S. always ready to hand us towels/move chairs.
The suite we stayed in was very beautiful, spacious with minimalist design. We loved the towel animals that Amr left us each day.
I would highly recommend this place for the beauty and the service. It’s a brilliant experience.
Only one minor complaint. The A/C was aimed towards the bed which got a bit too cold while sleeping. They tried to fix it but couldn’t.

The breakfast was really good, they served a Verity of food and fresh fruits and the service was amazing
The location was perfect not too far from the airport
To add pizza to the menu but overall our stay was perfect

The hotel is brand new and very high spec. The pools and beach are excellent as are the staff we met. State of the art gym.
Poor front desk customer service, made multiple mistakes with the rooms, had to move rooms. Bread was always stale. Dinners were not good and we ate in town the last night because of it. I would avoid the dinners. Strange music always playing at the restaurant.

Very clean, excellent location, amazing service, great amenities and very good food!
There was only one issue with the hotel, it didnt have cold water for showers or washing your hands, the water was always hot even if you open the cold water tab fully.
