My wife LOVED IT! She was surprised!
Nothing! It was what we expected from the reservations review.

Breakfast was great! Could use some more cereal choices.
Fireplace needs a good cleaning and a check to see if the flue is working correctly.

I appreciated the attention to detail of the overall hotel and rooms- especially maintaining the historical significance. The building appeared to be well-cared for and was very clean. I like the ice water in the lobby.
The bathtub/shower accommodations are not ideal- I appreciate staying within the era of the hotel- with a claw footed tub- but difficult to use the handheld shower without making a bit of a water mess on the bathroom floor. The room temperature control is fair---- comfortable during a warm summer climate--- but the room air-conditioning is directly over the bed--- and quite chilly as it turns on and off throughout the day and night. Possible to not have the bed under the cooling system? The breakfast was fair- a little more attention to the freshness of the fare- and adding dry cereal choices.

Historic building. Nicely appointed room.
At 6:30 am someone opened our door but hastily retreated.

lovely and well maintained historic hotel. Every staff member was utterly delightful and friendly. Very comfortable bed, good wifi. Nice location. 10 - 15 minute walk to all downtown locations. there's a coffee shop and brewery not even a five minute walk. Beautiful fixtures in the bathroom. Be warned if you want a walk in shower, you need to request. My room had only a tub which was fine except for getting the whole bathroom wet with the hand shower; no big deal. Keep in mind there's no tv but one does not go to beautiful Wyoming to stay in the room and watch tv. If you need a bedtime episode of something, the wifi is strong enough to stream on your laptop. They serve breakfast but can't comment as I went out to explore the local coffee shops. If you arrive on the late night flight you'll need to stop first at the best western to pick up the key but they were great about cleary explaining all of this in advance. Would definitely stay again

Breakfast was okay, could use more diversity. Location was good.
Was unaware that the restaurant and bar was closed at the time of booking.

An incredibly historic hotel which has been very carefully and lovingly renovated. It is culturally relevant to Sheridan, today as ever.

Excellent historic hotel saved from the wrecking ball of the '60s. Loved the ambiance. The staff were amazing. Dakota was so informative and friendly and Connie too was very kind. A lot of love and care went to refurbish the rooms. Loved the clawfoot bath tub!

The historical aspect of this hotel is pretty cool and that is honestly about it for The Sheridan Inn. Which is sad, because you could see so much potential for this place. Rooms were clean bed comfortable. They offer light continental breakfast of coffee, egg, bagels & yogurt. The location proximity to downtown Sheridan is great. Its a neat historical hotel for sure but it is lacking any kind of welcoming warmth or ambiance.
1. The hotel was a ghost town. We were one of 2 guests staying.
2. Upon arriving the staffer wasn't very friendly, maybe he was new but he was kinda odd.
3. Upon arrival you walk into a lifeless and I mean dead silent foyer entry way and the hotel manager is sitting in a chair off to the side watching the clock tick. Very strange. We were a bit taken back. No music, no refreshments for a guests weary travels, felt like walking into a cold dark museum.
4. The room they gave us out of 21 available rooms for a "romantic" couples weekend was ummm awkward. Each room is different and I researched each room before arriving. Most rooms looked nice and they do offer a "claw tub". This guy puts us in a room that looked like a 9 year old's twin bedroom. We went back down to request a room change and the staffer gave us a hard time. Said "due to Covid"...blah, blah...I'm like welll....looks like you got ALLL the time on your hands soooo Covid or not, we're paying premium to stay here for 2 nights...soooo make it right. I mean come on'. Like he was scolding us for wanting to change.
5. No bar in the hotel, no restaurant in hotel. They have it, it's just not functioning. We knew this ahead of time and thats okay but it is a shame. This place could be really magnificent if managed correctly and had the right PR.
6. Staffer on duty said no fireplace. It was really cold and they have a fireplace downstairs and when I called prior to booking the staffer on phone said they have a working fireplace and that we were welcome to cozy up to if we wanted. They have chairs some small tables etc. And it would have been a perfect spot for an evening glass of wine and conversation.
7. The whole vibe of this place felt sad. The hotel has SO much potential and needs some real TLC to bring some actual LIFE back here!

we loved everything the room the lobby entrance, the staff,
maybe one day they will reopen the restaurant and bar

Rooms had the old west character, as did the rest of the hotel. I went because it is supposedly haunted and because it's the off season and lots of the lights were off and there were maybe three other people staying, so it kept the ambiance.
For the price, not too amenities, i.e. limited breakfast options, no tvs or microwaves or fridge in the room. Plus, I didn't see any ghosts.
