About this bed and breakfast
"Hawk's Nest" is a beautiful and bright 2 bedroom, 1 bath home that is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Newly constructed, The Nest comfortably sleeps 6, has a modern, well-appointed kitchen, open concept dining and living room area and beautiful tile bathroom. The Nest is an ideal home base for all the Gorge has to offer--hiking, biking, wine-tasting, windsurfing, museums and more. But, be warned--The Nest is so cozy and comfortable and the views so spectacular, you may not want to leave!
The first floor has two bedrooms and a full bath. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and window with a view of the Columbia River. Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and twin on the top. This bedroom has a lockable sliding glass door to the front of the house. The full bath has a gorgeous, modern tile shower.
The light and bright upstairs has a wall of windows that allow guests to soak in the spectacular view of the Columbia River and surrounding areas. The views are truly awesome! The upstairs is a small "great room" with seating area, dining area and kitchen. The seating is oriented to enjoy the flat-screen TV with cable or the spectacular views. There is a fun loft area perfect for sleeping, reading, playing games, or for the kids to put on a talent show. The stylish couch folds flat into a comfortable double bed. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher) and is very well-appointed. There is a dining table that seats 6 plus bar seating.
The Nest is located on a quiet cul-da-sac that is perfect for children to play and ride bikes. It has a large brick patio on the side with a propane grill and room to park 2 vehicles.
Mosier has as very cool vibe with two restaurants (Mosier Company and Rack & Cloth) serving incredible, locally sourced food, beer, wine, cider and spirits often times coupled with live music on their outdoor patios. There is also a well-stocked grocery/market (Brenna’s) and a cute ice cream parlor and local farmers market in the summer. All are within an easy walk of our house.
Easy access to Mosier Tunnel Trail and Route 30 for biking, and you can hike to a beautiful waterfall and wildflower hike right out the door. It's a quick and easy drive to downtown Hood River for shopping and restaurants, while still feeling away from it all. Book our home instead of a Hood River Property and save 8% in occupancy tax.
This structure is the guest home for our main house, "Hawk's View", which is located behind it. The Nest can be rented in conjunction with the main house (see VRBO listing #438847) or by itself. It is a separate structure from the main house with it's own entrance and parking. The main house sleeps up to 14 so when rented together with this property, it allows up to 20 guests to stay together while still having enough space to spread out. This is truly a one-of-a kind Gorge estate perfect for family reunions or multi-family get-aways.

House was clean and comfortable. View from inside an outside were incredible. Only negative was road noise during the day, but not terrible. Well stocked kitchen.

Its a nice very small 2 story home. Very nice and clean. We didn't spend much time there as we spent the days out and about. The pictures make it look bigger than what it really is, so if you dont mind small spaces that place is perfect. We also weren't expecting the Columbia River to actually be across the interstate. It was still a great view and I still would recommend.

Small place but great views, not many restaurants or groceries at location in Mosier Oregon, but the town of Hood River, with many more amenities, is only 5 miles away.
A few small changes or repairs need to be made, that I think the owner is working on, will make the place more comfortable, like a missing blind in the front window that is needed to reduce the effects of the blinding sun which hits in the late afternoon.
The host was responsive when contacted.

The lodging was just as advertised. So many extra touches to make our stay enjoyable. It was difficult to make ourselves get out of the house because all we wanted to do was look at the Columbia River from the four large windows. Great communication with the owner. My only negative comment is that as someone who has had mobility issues in the past, it is important to know that there is part of a steep driveway to walk up to get to the door to unlock it. The good news is that the bedrooms are on the lower level and there is a sliding door so it was easy to get our suitcases in. It would have been difficult to have to take them down from the top level through the narrow stairs

Hawk's Nest is centrally located to all wildflowers in the Gorge area. The View of the Gorge is Superb. The place has a lot of natural light, simply decorated and very functional. A very comfortable place. Thank you

We really enjoyed the location with the incredible view. We saw a bald eagle fly right by the windows and saw a double rainbow over the Columbia. We hope to go back!

Apart from the insane views, the property is placed comfortably in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean and comfortable. The wifi connection is pretty good. Our daughter was able to attend online school. The host is prompt with her communication. I would love to go back someday .

Truly feels on top of the world, and is a beautiful spot to watch the weather change on the river below. Close to Mosier and 5 min from Hood River. Beds were okay, kitchen also okay and bath great.

Easy to check in, good communication and epic views. Great place to stay for my wife and I as well as our dog. Close to hiking trails and Brenna’s in town has a good selection of beers with which to watch the sunset!

Sure conditioner not powerful enough for incredibly hot weather. Found a park in Hood River to cool off fir a while. If you leave any if the windows open, just know that you do hear the I 84 traffic. Close to Hood River and the fruit loop. Too early fur the cherries!!

Great stay!
We came to celebrate a birthday with hiking and outdoor adventures! We had a great time and this house was the perfect size for us 2. Very clean on arrival and fabulous view! Great coffee shop down the road. I would run down and grab an oat milk latte each morning to enjoy with my view of the gorge. We lucked out with weather in the 70s and sunny for the weekend we were there. It was a little warm upstairs so on sunny days remember to put the shades down when you leave so it’s cooler in the late afternoon when you come back from your adventures. Windows all opened upstairs to allow for a nice breeze. Kitchen had the basics we needed and we loved the reading/napping nook in the living area. Would love to stay again! I would definitely pick this little town over Hood River to stay but it’s close enough to go and pick up food or go out to eat!

Loved our (sister, me and 2 dogs) stay here. Felt luxurious ( although the double on the futon bunk bed leans to the left). Waterfall within easy walking distance. Wineries and Mt Hood quick drives. Highly recommend, but get in 1st so you don’t have to take the futon bunk bed.

Great stay
Loved the location - very short drive to hood river, and close to all the great stuff in Mosier, including the awesome Mosier Plateau Trail. The place was clean and very cute, comfy bed with crisp clean sheets. View is awesome, loved sitting on the patio areas at sunset.

We were very pleased with this rental. It was very clean and well cared for, and owner responded quickly to any texts. Mosier is a small town, but a really nice place to stay in the Gorge. Obviously, it doesn't have as much as Hood River but you don't have the crowds either (and HR is only a few miles away). The town has a really nice coffee shop, restaurant, and well-stocked grocery store with the best JoJo's I've ever had.

We were very pleased with this rental. It was very clean and well cared for, and owner responded quickly to any texts. Mosier is a small town, but a really nice place to stay in the Gorge.
