JOHN 💛 meilleur hôte, extrêmement gentil et drôle ! Nous nous y sommes senti comme chez nous et avons même prolongé notre séjour Charmant bungalow en bois relativement spacieux Belle terrasse agréable (fil pour tendre le linge) Très calme , très vert

C'est juste personnel, mais le sol du bungalow est en bois et les moustiques passent à travers, donc si vous faites partie des personnes que les moustiques adorent, ça peut être un peu compliqué la nuit 🙈

big quiet bungalows. there are friendly dogs around, they sometimes bark but not at all annoying. But then the owner yells at the dogs :D

I had trouble contacting the owner (email, phone) during my stay.

My best accommodation on Koh Chang. Huge bungalow, huge bed and super fast internet, but the best besides John the super friendly landlord is the absolute silence. I can only recommend it to everyone!

A Great Hideaway on Ko Chang

John is a warm and welcoming host and helped us plan and manage our time on the island. The accommodation is simple, but spacious, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed this space because it was a quiet escape away from the busier parts of the island, but still within easy access of White Sand and Cho Chet. It's ideal for those who enjoy a balance of different experiences.

The welcome was the best i ever had in thailand ! (420-friendly 😁💚). John is an amazing host!. We came for 2 nights and stayed almost 3 weeks 😊. If you love dogs you have a lot of friends here. Its a beautiful, quite place next to the jungle, if you are lucky, you can see a monkey. The bungalows have big size and a nice big balkony. Good Wi-Fi for working. It's good located, you can go by food to the sea, supermarket or restaurants. Or rent a scooter from John and discover the island.

Good spot for when you need some space from the tourists

These spacious bungalows are simple, quiet and comfortable. Location is on a quiet street between the major tourist towns on the west side. If you want a stay that is more personal and friendly than a hotel, this is for you.

The size of the bungalows are great. John and his wifer are great hosts. Always very helpfull with a great sense of humour.. Motorbikes available on the premises at a discounted rate for clients.

As in Thailand is common the bathrooms have no windows so they become smelly and moldy. If the appliances are fitted without s bends in the plumbing it makes the matter worse. The five dogs on site are not every ones cup of tea.

I stayed here for three nights with my girlfriend and it was exactly what we were looking for! Even more than that. The location is really good - quiet place and still near the main road. The bungalows are spacious and clean, with a great wi-fi connection. Cute dogs make your stay brighter everyday. The most attractive part of the stay, however, is Johnny (the owner) himself. He was super welcoming and helpful from the get go, making the stay in Koh Chang a wonderful experience. He also kindly provided one of his motor-bikes - twice as cheap as anywhere else. The cost-performance in general is so much more than we expected! I would like to return one day again. Also, would recommend it to all my friends.

The shower water could be better, but that's just a minor issue consistent anywhere you go in Thailand I guess.

Just book it

Staying at John's was a Thai experience in itself! Bungalows are spacious and clean with all the necessary amenities. You can rent motorbikes here much cheaper than other places. John is a friendly guy who respects your privacy and is available for anything you need. We loved how he cares about his many dogs and cats, such a good lad! @John, cheers mate, until next time!

Big room that was clean and had a great outside sitting area where the dogs came to say hello and the monkeys whooped and jumped from tree to tree. John is a lovely eccentric guy who is just happy to have you there and help with any queries you have. There’s a few good local restaurants and a couple of beach bars within easy walking distance. Wi-Fi was the best we’ve had traveling Thailand. Forgot to mention 3rd April 2021 vs wba 😊

Spacious, clean rooms, good wifi. Quiet location with great views of the bush. Excellent value for money. For a place so close to nature there were very few bugs or snakes. John runs the accommodation, he is both a cheeky fellow and an obliging host at the same time. He will help you out with anything if he can, and point you in the right direction if he can't. I've never felt more welcome abroad, was treated as a mate and not just another customer.

Keep in mind John keeps a few dogs on the property. They're all friendly but they will bark when you arrive, and they will look for a cheeky pat

I really enjoyed my stay at Elephant and Castle! A super nice and clean bungalow in a beautiful location. John the owner is great. Very helpful, always up for a nice conversation and a man with humor. The dogs are the sweetest! Thank you John for the service and hospitality.

The host was incredibly friendly and very helpful with many years experience on Koh Chang. Good location between White Sands and Chai Chet. You need your own transport to get around on the island and get to the beaches, restaurants and night life (still plenty of bars open in Chai Chet at the time of writing this review) or rent a motorbike. Very quiet and peaceful location with very spacious bungalows that have a big balcony to relax on. Being opposite Tesco's and with BigC a few hundred meters up the hill then shopping for daily requirements or food is very easy. When I go back to Koh Chang I will stay here again

Very nice place with friendly owners. We got a free upgrade to a newer bungalow, finally stayed 8 nights. It´s about 100 metres from the road so quite quiet and with a scooter it´s absolutely a perfect spot. It´s about 30 min. walk to White Sandy Beach, just down by the road there are a few places to eat and a big Tesco supermarket. The room was huge, with a terrace, huge bed, big bathroom, fridge, great shower and good air-con. There are several dogs and cats living there also, from time to time they come to visit you, so just be aware of that, but they are very friendly and a good company :) Enjoyed the place very much, thank you!
