Truly a "Dream House" on the Ocean. This 9 bedroom, luxurious home has everything you could dream of and more. Beautifully decorated with breathtaking ocean views. Bask in the sun on the beach or beside your private pool (16'x32' and a salt water treatment system)! For an additional fee you may have the pool heated. Relax in the hot tub under the stars. Enjoy a game of volleyball, horseshoes or challenge your friends to a game of pool in the rec room. The house is handicap friendly with elevator and roll in shower. Just 10 yards to the beach.

"Just steps from the gorgeous beach. House was spacious and well equipped. Washer and dryer were great (and large which helped). We had 18 people (half kids, half adults - mix from 2 month old to grandparent) and the house never felt crowded. Plenty of seating outside as well. Everything was clean and neat and we loved the pool and the proximity to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped, and the two dishwashers came in handy. It would have been nice to have had an extra garbage can or two, not sure if that is an option, but they were full from the previous tenant when we arrived (realtor did arrange to have some of it picked up so we would have more space). It really was a wonderful vacation in a great location. The house is very close to grocery shopping and an easy ride to Duck for shops and restaurants. The pool was wonderful. The a/c had three separate zones which helped with varying opinions on a comfortable temperature!"

The views of the ocean from the living room, dining room and outside decks are fantastic. We loved watching the waves, dolphins, storms, etc. The bedroom masters were ideal for our group. The kitchen was well stocked with pots pans griddle crockpot etc The pool was a nice option for the children and the hot tub for the adults. Some details could be improved such as cleaner shower curtains especially in rooms with tubs.. The front area with the tennis court wasn’t usable due to high grass, etc. There were concerns about the cleanliness of towels and bed sheets that was resolved quickly and efficiently. We are returning next year.

Our family of 14 enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Dream house in Corolla. We loved the fact that the house was ocean front. There was a lovely view of the ocean from the huge picture window in the living room. The house was well appointed with beach chairs and umbrellas. Unfortunately, beach towels were not provided. There were multiple decks that allowed for private time or relaxing out of the sun. The kitchen was well appointed. There were only 2 kitchen towels so we used a lot of paper towels. The huge dining room table was great for our large family. We used the smaller table for puzzles. There’s a walking path on the main road. A shopping mall with Duck Donuts and smoothie shop was only about a mile away. The beach was beautiful and not over crowded. On the negative side, the house wasn’t as clean as we would have liked. There was a mattress pad on the floor when we walked in, stains on some of the comforters, and dust on the furniture. Each room only had two towels, hand towels, and face cloths. Some of the bathrooms didn’t have a bath mat. The half bath did not have any towels. The kitchen faucet was awful. It sputtered water causing us to get soaked every time we did the dishes. The stove top was mediocre. It took forever to boil water and some of the burners worked better than others. The shower drain in the lower level bathroom was backed up causing it to be unusable. The pool was a good size and got sun most of the day but it was very sandy. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Overall, we had a good stay. The biggest pros were the size of the house, proximity to the beach, pool, and the location in Corolla. On the negative side, the house wasn’t as nice as we expected given what we paid. Loved the area and would definitely come back just don’t think we’d rent this house again. The location was great. There were many stores, restaurant

The house was very comfortable. There was an issue with a leaky toilet and a maintenance person came right away. The location is great and the kitchen is very well appointed. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would come back to this house. The location between Corollla and Duck was ideal and not far from Harris Teeter. The house was also not right next to other houses and the walkway to the beach was new and fine. The hot tub was great.

Here are some pros about this property. Oceanfront location was great. Stairs down to the beach were fine until the last step, which you basically had to jump off of. Good thing there was a public walkway right nextdoor. Kitchen was very well equipped and even had a KitchenAid mixer.Now the cons. I was first to arrive at he house and had to run out and get some Windex to clean the windows(at least the ones I could reach) as they were FILTHY and hard to see the view. The washing machine worked to some degree but did not spin the clothes enough and had to put them in the dryer at least twice. The plastic shower curtain in my room was very moldy. Wasn't too keen on the walkway to the beach having no access to the ground pool area. Bascially you had to go through the house with sandy feet to get downstairs. The junk left by multiple previous tenants(broken chairs and umbrellas) could have been cleaned up. This could be a very nice rental if the property managers showed they cared more. I know I will not rent this property again and not sure if I would rent through beach realty.

We have been vacationing in OBX for 20 years. This was one of the good ones! Really love how “on top of the water” the house was. The way it’s positioned- we were literally able to see the kids in the ocean from the living room window! Only downside if I were to find one, was there is no stairs to the pool when you are coming back from the ocean. Otherwise - really enjoyable place!

Our family of 20 really enjoyed our stay and already rebooked the same home for next summer. Pros: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Can’t beat being right on the beach with our own private access. The kitchen and common areas were spacious. Kitchen was well-stocked. Gate at the top of the stairs was good for safety for kids and containing the dog. Cons: No direct pool-to-beach access (had to go inside, upstairs, then out again and vice versa). This made for a sandy house since there was no hose/wash area on the 2nd level where the beach access is located. Beds somewhat uncomfortable. Volleyball area is unusable because of weeds. No early check-in. Rental company was very responsive and quick to act on issues that came up (missing towels, AC needed repair, etc).

Beach Reality makes things easy and responsive to requests.House does need a really good deep clean though and not satisfied with how we received it. Dog hair on beds, floors/bathrooms not very clean, found trash on dresser (including a retainer) and outside, and blood on sheets of one of the beds (not sure they had been changed). Also, mattresses could be updated. Also, would suggest at some point adding another refrigerator to upstairs- needed for a home this size.

I would like to add attachments of pictures and videos I took upon arrival. The place was not clean to say the least. They sent a crew of six to the property after I complained that did make some improvements. I had to spend half the next day cleaning, many of the windows were so filthy you could not see through them. The grounds were trashy and not kept. The AC did not work on the lower levels, when we reported the issue a technician was dispatched. He confirmed that the unit was blowing at 77 degrees with the setting of 72 and needed an HVAC specialist. That was the last we heard from anyone regarding the AC. Very, Very disappointing

The location and layout of Ocean Dream was awesome. But there are some thing that need to be attended to. Cleaning before our arrival was not up to par at all. I have been going down to the OBX for the last 26 years and it seems after COVID hit, the cleaning of the properties between rentals has gone down tremendously. I don't believe this is an owners issue but more of the rental company to have certain standards for when the staff they hire go and cleans these homes. Not enough people but the rates keep going up. I was surprised of the wonderful gift the owners gave during our stay. We received a homemade cheesecake with cut up peaches on top. Outstanding and very thoughtful of the owners. I would probably get some of the sliding doors fixed. Then do need some TLC and the carpet at the stairs needs to be swept weekly by the cleaning crews. They are not doing it for sure.

Beach access gate completely blocked by sand and led to a 15ft drop off even if accessible, pool not vacuumed, blurry unwashed windows, filter in AC unit disgusting and filter dated 2015 (new filters right next to disgusting one, just not installed), dishwasher rack broken, none of the mention beach equipment or play equipment available, several drains clogged, 0 response from company when called on these items. A good deal for the price if a slum lorded property is tolerable for you. The beautiful house next door was twice the price but likely much cleaner and not in disrepair.

Spring storms washed out the bottom section of steps to the beach which haven’t been replaced, where obviously the neighbors have made this effort. Several screens to slider doors were torn. The freezer door did not open and close properly. The microwave stopped working mid-week. The queen master on the first floor did not have a useable closet because it was an equipment closet. That room also didn’t have Wi-Fi reception and the air conditioner outside vibrated in the bed when it was running. The housekeeping was ok. The home seemed clean enough upon arrival but the towel packages were missing washcloths and bath mats and a couple bathrooms had no shower curtain liner. Although rectified, these are details a renter on vacation should not have to deal with.

The location was excellent & the view couldn't have been any better, but the front yard was advertised with a volleyball court & horse shoes, that due to the condition of the yard you couldn't play. The weeds and stickers were overgrown & everywhere. Also one of my granddaughters forgot her bedtime puppy, it must have been left in the sheets. We called the management company within an hour after leaving the property, but were told there was nothing they could do. Not courteous or helpful AT ALL.

The house was very clean when we got there and everything was present that was supposed to be (bed linens and towels). We loved that it was right on the beach, even if the ocean water was to cold for swimming, the pool and the hot tub more than made up for that. A person came about half way through the week to clean the pool and hot tub of sand, which was a nice surprise and we even got a cheesecake gift from the owners. How nice! All in all, we had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave!

We traveled from FL, PA and NJ to be together for this vacation and had fabulous time. We would definitely recommend this house to others. P.S. Overall, it was an average dwelling when compared to similar properties. Great view and very spacious house. Negatives: many of the dished were dirty, had to buy ant motels b/c of ants inside the house, pool had a ton of sand in it and only got worse as the week went on, and the exterior of the house is not very aesthetically pleasing. Also, the advertised volleyball court was virtually non-existent. No net and the entire area covered with a little grass and all weeds.

The location is extraordinary, directly on beach. Views, proximity to ocean, wonderful! Some issues encountered: no working ice machines in either refrigerator;airconditioning problems - top floor would not cool, one basement bedroom would not cool, but 2nd floor and rest of basement were icy cold.Noise from air conditioning unit next to basement bedroom was bothersome to occupants of that room.Excessive amounts of sand in pool (sand blows from dunes, under gate). Were told it is only vacuumed once, at beginning of stay-this is inadequate. Not to say this wasn't a positive rental experience - many things were very fine: 2 large gas grills, well appointed kitchen,with anything needed/desired, hot tub was exceptionally nice; owner sent two blueberry cheesecakes as a thank you - never have any other owners done such a nice thing in more than a dozen years renting on OBX.

In general I was happy with my stay at this particular house. The view of he beach was spectacular, the kitchen was well stocked and the house interior was decent and clean. On the downside the exterior of the house could use a good paint job and the deck also needs some work. Of the 11 people who came with us on the weekend not one person got away with out getting splinters from the deck. In the interior on the first and second floors many of the interior doors were improperly hung, no matter were you wanted the door to stop they always swung wide open. Also on these same floors the outside sliding glass doors were hard to open and close and many of the exterior screen doors were also hard to operate. This could be a great house to stay in if a few things were attended to without attention to these items I do not think I would stay there again.

Loved the location! The house size and set up was wonderful. The beds and furniture were clean and comfortable. The biggest, and pretty significant issue was that all of the sliding doors slide wide enough for my Mom's wheelchair to go thru. We are luckily pretty craft and were able make a modification, but honestly should have had to. It would have been a significant problem. Overall the trip and house were great. The small issues we found were the tops of all of the ceiling fans were filthy, there were spider webs all over the outside of the house and decks...understood they just spin again, but you can tell it's been ages since last removed. Also, there should be a broom/dust pan and mop/mop bucket. We bought our own because I wanted to maintain the home's cleanliness. But truly our vacation was wonderful. None of the things are game changers, just was to make the property even better. The cheesecakes delivered were a delicious and appreciated gesture. Who ever makes them really needs to put a business card or sticker on the box for repete business. We would have ordered something else from them. Thank you very much! We hope to be back next year.

The view is awesome. The kitchen is really very well equipped. Weather was perfect. As for the house. 1 the outside was terrible. You should not be able to even say there is a volleyball court. Weeds everywhere. If you didn't like sitting on lounge chairs there were no chairs outside to sit on. 2 the mattresses really need replaced. Most everyone where very uncomfortable due to being over use. We have rented a house for 12 years in Corolla. Our family had a wonderful week being together even though we were disappointed with somethings we really enjoyed the view of the ocean from the top rooms of the house.
