We had a fabulous time at Chestnut Mews - the house was absolutely perfect. we all commented on how nicely furnished it was and very well equipped - we had everything we needed. It was also spotlessly clean! Thank you for having us!

Had to phone property manager as fridge freezer was not working. Really helpful and all sorted.
Lovely garden saw red squirrel and a beautiful Jay. Made our day.

Everything about Honeysuckle Cottage either met, or exceeded, expectations.
The house was comfortably and tastefully furnished, with lots of little extras to make life easier.
The kids absolutely loved all the toys in the garden and were particularly taken with the double storey cubby house.
Definitely hope to return.

We had a wonderful stay in this excellent accommodation, a short walk from Shanklin Old Town, the beach and Shanklin Chine.
The property was spotless, superbly well equipped and the hosts were extremely responsive.
The shared garden was large, well maintained and meant that our 5 year old daughter had some friends to play with when we got back from the beach.
It was extremely quiet at night - overall couldn't fault it, we'll be coming back

One of our best holidays yet. The house was clean and tidy, had everything we needed. I loved that the smart TV allowed me to sign into all my streaming apps, kids appreciated that. They really enjoyed the garden. It's a shame we didn't see any red squirrels, maybe next time we come lol

Honeysuckle Cottage was the ideal venue for our Christmas break.
The accommodation was ideal, well furnished and fitted out to a very high standard.
We enjoyed spending the Christmas period with my youngest son and his family who live locally in Shanklin.

Everything we needed was provided for us. Lovely comfy beds and very comfortable and practical furniture throughout. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the birds but didn't see that elusive red squirrel other guests reported seeing the previous week! Fantastic location and would love to return to next year, definitely recommend to everyone.

Would be wonderful with kids
Our only complaint wAs the dirty diapers in the pail was not very welcoming. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely for 4 retired women. We liked the location and even saw a red squirrel in the backyard!

Great property in great location
Easy to book. Very responsive and helpful owners. Quiet location on outskirts of Shanklin but just a 10 minute walk to beach and town centre. High quality, well equipped property. Highly recommended.

Great place in Shanklin. Just as advertised.
Starting with good communication from the owners, we found everything as promised.
On a private road in a very quiet area just outside Shanklin,, parking is easy in the drive.
Good location for Shanklin and short walking to sights beach and coastal path.
Very well equipped kitchen with even a sandwich maker. Plenty of plates, glasses and so unlike many places which give you 3 or 4 .
Private patio has some sun while large shared garden has more. Garden is very much set up for small children but good sound proofing in the house helps . We saw happy red squirrels every day there!

The best property I've stayed in Shanklin.
I stayed in Honeysuckle Cottage with my wife, elderly in laws and 2 grown up children and what a fantastic week we had. First of all the location was perfect for the Shanklin Old Village with all its pubs, restaurants, hotels with entertainment and shops. The beach was only 10 minutes walk away but the lift was closed due to covid so we had to drive down with the oldies as they would never have walked back up, luckily we had a blue badge so got 8hrs free parking. The house itself was spotless and really big. The highlight though was the gardens which were massive with loads of trees and wildlife, including a couple of red squirrels which would make an appearance about 07.30ish in the morning. All in all I can't fault these cottages and will definitely book again. Thank You

Perfect family retreat, ideal for those children
Property is located in a lovely quiet area just a 10 minute walk from the sea front and only 5 minute walk from Shanklin's high street. It offers wonderfully large playing gardens with multiple play houses and climbing frames with swings for children to explore. This was an instant huge hit for our 3 year old and the "children friendly" touches didn't start and stop there. There was a small portable step in the bathroom which allowed my son to wash his hands, use the toilet and get into the bath by himself and the large cupboard under the stairs had a number of toys and games that could be used.
Being located off of a private road there is no through traffic or road noise to worry about and the owners communication following our booking was great - providing us with useful links and information as well as suggestions of things to do (we didn't know the Isle of Wight very well before this visit).

Excellent accommodation, perfect location
We have stayed at Chestnut Mews a few times now. Over the years we have stayed in all three cottages, Clematis, Honeysuckle and Jasmine, they are all excellent. Lately we have booked Jasmine and our daughter and family book Honeysuckle these two cottages have a large shared garden which is ideal for children. There is a slide and two playhouses. Clematis has its own private garden. The cottages are child friendly, tastefully decorated, well maintained, well equipped and always spotlessly clean. A welcome pack is provided with biscuits, coffee, tea etc and a bottle of Proscecco or Cava
The location is perfect for the 'old village' Rylestone Gardens, Shanklin beach , walks and other attractions. We love staying at Chestnut Mews and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on the island. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Clean, tidy, warm and cosy. Nice area, beautiful walk down to the beach

A comfortable and well equipped cottage
We had an very enjoyable stay at Jasmine Cottage, the grandchildren especially liked the garden play equipment which gave then hours of enjoyment. Seeing red squirrels in the garden was very special. We found that the cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed, which made our stay very relaxing and most enjoyable.

Lovely stress-free stay
We (grandmother, parents and boys aged 7 and 5) have just returned from a lovely stay in Chestnut Mews. We chose Honeysuckle Cottage as having access to the shared garden, our children loved playing with the kids next door. It was easy to book and pay via email / bank transfer.
The cottage is in a wonderful location, 10ins max walk via steps to the quiet end of Shanklin beach, 5 mins to old village and 10 minutes to new part. Several supermarkets in Shanklin, could walk to co-op or drive to large Morrisons. Easy to walk to the village for dinner and perhaps visit the chine when it's lit up for the evening, a magical experience only 5 minutes saunter from the doorstep.
The cottage is really well equipped with all you could need, such as coffee machine, slow cooker, barbeque, cot, high chair, potty and even lego. It was great to put a roast in the slow cooker and spend the day at Osborne House etc. to return to a cooked dinner.
Everything is very clean, the kitchen and bathroom are recently renovated and there is plenty of hot water. There is a washing machine and dishwasher to take the stress out of your day. There are 3 toilets, we found this a big plus compared to many other cottages on the island which may have looked quainter but did not offer the same facilities or location.
The communication prior to, during and after our stay was irreproachable. We will be returning and would not hesitate to recommend to others. Thanks to Peter and Mandy for a lovely stay.

Fantastic Holiday....Perfect
We have been coming to the cottages now for 5yrs and over the years stayed in all 3 cottages. We have a fantastic holiday every year and the cottages are stunning, they are clean, homely and have everything you need for your stay and more.
You feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. In a great location so can walk to everywhere you need to in Shanklin, 5 minute walk to the Old Village and Chine.
Just perfect, another fantastic hiday and can't wait till next year.

Wonderful cottage and a perfect location!
This was our first visit to the Isle of Wight with our nearly 3 year-old daughter. We couldn't have asked for a better base from which to explore the island. The house is large, clean and has excellent facilities for the whole family. The garden was a real surprise and has numerous wendy houses, climbing frames and toys etc to keep the children entertained. The location is ideal as only a short drive from most of the attractions and only a 5 minute walk into Shanklin Old Village from where you can access the beach via Shanklin Chine. We would definitely stay here again if and when we next visit the Isle of Wight.

Fantastic holiday home
Our second stay at Clematis Cottage, and I can honestly say that it is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Very clean, well equipped and maintained. Perfect base for our family holiday. Highly recommend.

Fantastic !!!!!!!!!!
we have stayed at the wonderful Chestnut Mews a few times over the past couple of years and each time we can't praise them enough. They are so well kept and maintained, tastefully decorated, yet comfortable enough to feel at home and relaxed. The gardens are great and perfect for kids to play or the grown ups to sit out and relax on the decking. The cottages are in an ideal location for the Old Village, Shanklin town, the beach, gardens and much more. We can't wait to visit again.

Great location, well appointed cottage
We were very pleased with this cottage. It's modern, well appointed, very clean and very peaceful. It's an easy walk to Shanklin town centre where there is a good selection of gift shops and places to eat or get takeaways. Some days we walked to the beach and some days we drove as we found parking at sea level plentiful and inexpensive. The owners were genuinely helpful and keen that we should enjoy our stay, which we did!

Very family friendly
We had a wonderful time staying in Jasmine Cottage in April and we would definitely stay again. The cottage is really suitable for small children with a cot, stair gates, plenty of toys and a high chair which meant we didn't have to bring a mountain of things with us. Everything was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The cottage is located in a very peaceful area but within easy walking distance of all the amenities and beach in Shanklin and I was 7 months pregnant at the time. We also made use of the indoor pool nearby which was great for our two year old as we had the place to ourselves. The wifi was also exceptionally fast. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Excellent Accommodation & Position
Just returned from a weeks stay at Honeysuckle Cottage and can't fault it. It is in an excellent location, just 5 mins walk from restaurants in Shanklin Old Village and great for exploring the rest of the Island, The accommodation is spotlessly clean and plenty big enough for our family of 5. Nice garden at the back for the kids to play in with play equipment which is a nice touch.
Loads to do on the Island and the kids loved Blackgang Chine, which is a nice old fashioned park, and great walk from the cottage to Ventnor along the coastal path, although kids insisted on taxi back!
Peter and Mandy were great to deal with from start to finish and a lot of bigger companies could learn a lot from their prompt communications and friendly approach. We have been to the Island many times and this was probably the best overall experience.

Had a wonderful stay at this modern, clean well presented and equipped cottage. Brilliant location for touring the island. Our Grandchildren had a wonderful time playing in the large garden and we're delighted by visits from Red Squirrels and Jaybirds. The Isle of Wight is the perfect holiday location and mews cottages only enhances the experience. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

Beautiful holiday cottage - which was a perfect match for our family of four (children 2 & 4 years old). Spotlessly clean, well furnished, with everything you could ask for.
