Encore merci Jonni :)
Rien à dire !!

Was a very nice stay and Jonni is a really great and fun person who knows a lot about the area and Japan in general

Jonni is a fantastic host, we really enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and cosy. The location of the property was great for sightseeing. Jonni ’s local knowledge of the Sakamoto area was very helpful and we took full advantage of his recommendations!

Jonni was a very friendly and helpful host. He did his best to accommodate us and gave us recommendations. A very good host for foreign tourists and those who'd like to see Sakamoto and Kyoto. He also provided some bread/snacks every morning for breakfast. He had great recommendations for lunch! And if you have some downtime, Jonni is a very interesting person to talk to!
Parking is limited, so be sure to reach out to Jonni prior to booking a stay about parking. If you're sensitive to noises while sleeping, unfortunately, there is a grating outside the house that clangs every time a car drives over it.

The guesthouse owner jonathan or let's say Johni is the asset that highlighted the entire journey in sakamoto. J is From england. you will be not necessary to worry about communication in english. And he has lived in Japan for many years so He is very knowledgeable about sakamoto. Referring to his very detail and practical advice About the food and sightseeing, I arrange perfect itinerary. And he is also very considerable. The second day when I stayed with J, it rained heavily. My shoes were wet thoroughly. He noted and helped to dry my shoes without telling me a word Until The other guests in the house telling me when i checked out on myself, so moved! So Thank you and good luck Johni!
Although the place is about 1.6 kilometers from jr station and 600 meters from Nearest tram Station,I promise the way I walking from the station to his place is enjoyable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful accommodation and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The owner of the house, a university professor, was an incredibly hospitable and humorous person. We ended up chatting for two hours and I learned so much from him, from sightseeing tips to life philosophy. Of course, if you prefer peace and quiet, you won't be disturbed.
The interior decoration of the house was very tasteful, reflecting the owner's extensive travels around the world. Everywhere you look, there are unique and interesting items from different countries, creating a truly international atmosphere.
One of the most convenient things about staying at this accommodation was the free laundry service, with plenty of clothes hangers and drying tools provided by the owner. If you open the windows, your clothes will dry overnight.
The owner was very generous and trusting towards guests. He never asked about our activities, and we were welcome to use his food and tea without any hesitation. I felt very safe and comfortable in this environment.
Overall, I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants a unique and comfortable stay with a wonderful host.

Jonni was friendly and gave us great tips for where to go. He helped us stay comfortable and made sure we had food. When there were places we missed he helped us find them. We loved the yukata he loaned us and the slippers. There was good wifi and Netflix. Overall it felt like home. Good cooking facilities too. Jonni is quirky, he will make you laugh.
It was a little cold in the rooms which he warned us about. But this was fine when we put the heater and electric blanket on. If you come here in winter we recommend utilising those facilities. The bath water was slightly cold. Also there is a bit of walking to and from things like food stores and tourist spots and stations, so be prepared for a bit of walking. But we had a great time here. Very comfy and really good facilities.

This is the best place you can find near Kyoto. 8 minutes walking to the nearby train station and in less than 20 minutes you can reach Kyoto. This is a quiet neighborhood and Jonni is the best host. Feel at home during my whole stay. Nice coffee every morning and good chatting every night. It was a wonderful experience for me.
Not many restaurants near the house.

The host was extremely friendly and had lots of tips on what to do in the area. He showed us how everything worked and told us the rules of the house. He even drove us to the convenience store to grab food after we had driven all day. The room has an amazing view of Lake Biwa and you can see a beautiful sunrise.
Nothing, everything was exceptional!
