About this villa rental
Villa Amare - romantically named from the Latin word 'love' - is a very large villa with the benefit of being just a 100 metre stroll downhill to the sea and the friendly Kalkan Beach Club. From here you can swim and snorkel in crystal clear turquoise waters, from beach platforms.
The villa has a beautiful large lounge with doors that open onto your own private swimming pool. By the pool there is a charming outdoor dining area with a stone built BBQ, made by a local craftsman. Here you can dine under the stars - the ultimate in relaxation. If you don't fancy doing your own cooking a local chef will come and create a meal for you! All five bedrooms are (unusually for Turkey) very spacious and all have generous en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower. There are three bedrooms with king size beds and two with twin beds, ideal for two families or couples sharing. All but one bedroom have large balconies.
40"' TV with satellite channels, a DVD, CD player with iPod docking. NEW FOR 2011 free Wi-fi New for 2015 - a table tennis table. We also include a basic welcome pack in your rental rates.
Around Kalkan: Kalkan by day is sleepy and relaxed but comes to life in the evening when you are treated to a seemingly endless array of lovely restaurants! Kalkan has a pretty pebble beach with sunbeds, or you can go to one of the many beach clubs, the nearest just down the hill from villa Amare.
A cruise from the harbour is an absolute must! For a modest price you and friends can have a wonderful day cruising around the islands, swimming and snorkelling, with a home cooked lunch included. Highly recommended.
Patara National Park and Beach - Patara boasts an amazing 15 km sandy beach, voted one of the top beaches in the world by Times on-line. The beautiful and ancient ruins of the city of Patara, a major trading port in ancient Lycia, are on the same site. Home of the endangered loggerhead turtles..

Lovely waterfalls and gorge at Saklikent, and you can enjoy a fresh trout lunch there for a very modest price.
Horse riding is available at Bezigan, a pretty village in a valley.

There is a small shop just a short walk up the hill from your villa. Kisla also has several restaurants within walking distance. Taxis are plentiful. You can get a boat ride to Kalkan from the beach club just down the hill!

All went very smoothly.
Excellent communication from the owner and from the agent in resort (Tamar).
Faulty air conditioning units were sorted within 24hours.
The villa was all as described.
Is it just me but with so many villa rentals now you do pay a lot (we went prime time) and I really would have liked things like dishwasher tablets/ toilet rolls/ dish cloth provided…. Surely the cost of this is inconsequential but if they are there it removes the hassle….
Great location and as always in Kisla everything only a £3 taxi fare away to get into town.
I would definitely rent this one again, especially if you need five bedrooms.
Great holiday experience.

Fabulous spacious Villa with wonderful views.
So enjoy being here again, enjoyed the choice of relaxing seating areas, the table tennis and swimming in the pool. And loved just strolling down to the sea.

Villa Amare. A lovely home from home villa.
A lovely villa and really well cared for. Serviced every 3 days by lovely people (care takers.) This super villa has all the home from home comforts. We stayed 2 weeks and didn't want to leave. The owners Mandy and Digs can't do enough to make your whole experience special. The walk into town is a little challenging up one hill (then mostly flat) We did it every night for the exercise. That's how we met Mandy and Digs. Think they felt sorry for a pair of 'oldies' walking and they offered us a lift which we declined 🙄 After a chat and a rest! We arranged to see their villa and loved it. There were 3 of us for the first week and just two for the last week. Villa Amare would comfortably sleep 10 people all with sweeping circular balconies off the bedrooms with fabulous sea and Kalkan views.
RESTAURANTS. Mousakka, Olive Garden, Baharat, Aubergine hard pressed to find a poor one.
Kalkan is a special place, would recommend to anyone. Thank you

Perfect location and simply a beautiful villa
quick to assist where ever he could. He leaves fresh bread to let you know he’d popped by if we were out or asleep. The villa was cleaned regularly, maintaining the high standard of the villa through out the stay. There are not many villas in Kalkan that have so few other villas around them so close to the sea.

Lovely Villa in Quiet Area
The accommodation is simply lovely and is as described on this site. There are lots of different areas where people can get their own space. All the rooms are are beautifully furnished. It's good that the Villa is not just a holiday let (they have a spartan look to them) as it feels loved and that really makes a difference.
We really liked the beach at the the Kisla Beach Club – there were turtles there every day !
Villa cleaned twice a week, fresh bread delivered every day.
We had a wonderful time, swam (with turtles), snorkelled. We visited Kekova the sunken city, Salikent Gorge, Kalkan Bay boat trip x 2, Patara beach, Archaelogical trip ( Pinara Sidyma Letoon), Kaputah beach, Patara ruins
We really enjoyed all the trips - we used Volume Travel in Kalkan - really good.
Amanda the owner was a pleasure to deal with. Can't recommend highly enough.

Lovely villa in beautiful location
We had a fabulous stay in Villa Amare. The villa was beautifully maintained with spectacular views across the sea. Hasan, the pool man, delivered fresh bread to us every morning and maintained the pool and cleaned the BBQ. The ensuite bathrooms were great and very clean. Amanda, the villa owner, was so helpful and easy to contact. I would highly recommend going to this villa, however it is over 4 floors so might not be best for elderly people or those with mobility problems.
The Kalkan Park Beach Club is a quick stroll down the hill from the villa and we went there often and swam with turtles and sting rays; we also went to the Kalamar Beach Club across the Bay where my husband and daughter did a trial scuba dive. We went on a couple of boat trips which were really great, the sea was crystal clear and again there were turtles, we also did some water skiing on these trips as there are speed boats zipping around offering water sports.
Finally the exchange rate is very favourable at the moment and the Turkish love British Pounds so I would recommend bringing your money with you and exchanging money in town as rates are much more favourable.

The Perfect Trip
Hello Amanda,
We are finally back in Ireland where the high temperature mark for the day is supposed to be 15 degrees. That is painful to even type!!
We had an absolutely wonderful time and would come back in a moments notice. Your home, Kalkan, the greater region around Kalkan and Turkey in general were all showing very well during our visit, not to mention the absolutely perfect weather. I can see why you and your husband decided to invest in such a special place.
We didn't interact with Tamer or Hassan much but when we did they were professional and helpful. Hassan, who we were in contact most often, usually came and went before we were out of bed having left his gift of bread. One evening we were having problems with water pressure in the house and we thought it was the result of our consecutive showers so we didn't bring the matter up. The next morning Hassan noticed the same problem and corrected the issue before we even got the chance to say hello. After his work we encountered no further water pressure issues regardless if we were taking consecutive showers.
Thanks again for everything, we will certainly be recommending your home to our travelling friends. Our experience will not be forgotten!
Michael

5 star Villa Amare
We just got back from our fabulous holiday in the sun at Villa Amare Kalkan.
The villa was beautiful we could see it was a home from home rather than just a rental property . It was roomy , clean , well maintained and equipt but what made it special were the many special finishing touches such as the lovely photographs of the area taken by Mandy the owner.
The location was great and the views from the terraces were stunning .
Kalkan is a lovely resort with a wide range of excellent places to eat , we were spoiled for choice .
The local people we met were helpful and friendly including the staff looking after the villa , organising tours , transfers etc.
Mandy gave us exceptional customer service , she replied to our enquiries promptly and was so kind as she helped us sort out a few last minute problems at our end . She even sent a suprise birthday cake which was a thoughtful touch .
I would recommend this property without hesitation .

Wonderful stay - thoroughly recommended
Villa amare is a property on 3 levels, all with lots of space, great views and a lovely pool. It is well maintained with daily deliveries of bread and cleaning twice a week. its our third stay in Amare and Kalkan as we love the location, the views and the property. We have 4 children and Amare offers plenty of space for all of us. The location is about 5 minutes from Kalkan (10 minutes by boat taxi) and this is ideal as we are local to Kalkan beach park but we can easily enjoy the restaurants and shops in kalkan. we have met some wonderful people and i recommend Kalkan to anyone. Thanks for a great time!

Wonderful villa and views to die for...
We had a wonderful week in Villa Amare - the villa is so comfortable and has stunning views over the bay below. It is a 5 minute walk down the hill to the sea. All of the rooms were really spacious with en suite bathrooms and balconies. It was lovely to have the little pool all to ourselves as well and ample sun loungers for everyone to be assured of a tan… The seating area for dinners in the evening is great - it comfortably sat all 9 of us, and all of the colourful flowers around the villa make it seem even more beautiful. Amanda was so kind before the holiday when she organised via Tamer, their lovely and extremely knowledgeable manager, for a case of wine to be waiting when we arrived for my hosts. I would certainly recommend the Villa to anyone thinking of going to Kalkan with a large group, we had such a relaxing, fun and comfortable holiday.

Immaculate villa with beautiful views
We took a mixed-age family party to the Villa Amare for a week in early July and were absolutely delighted with it. The villa is spotlessly clean and well maintained; all the rooms are spacious and have lovely views, and there are plenty of different outside places to sit and read or sunbathe, including a very nice shady terrace covered with wonderful bougainvillea. The location was extremely peaceful and quiet, yet it was easy to get into Kalkan to the many rooftop restaurants. The team managing the villa were really friendly and efficient: they were happy to meet us and settle us in after a late evening arrival, and one of them brought us fresh bread for breakfast every morning. The sea (5 mins walk down from the house) was incredibly clean and clear and there are lots of interesting places to visit nearby. We had a really lovely holiday - many thanks to all concerned.
