Authentique et confortable

Bardzo klimatyczne mieszkanie w starym, bardzo spójnie urządzonym domu. Budynek w centralnej części Obidos.

Lubię wcześniejsze śniadania… choć to bardzo subiektywne kryterium.

De ligging! Ruime kamer, beetje oud allemaal maar schoon dus prima.

voortaan onder het bed ook even stofzuigen:-) , ontbijt mag wel iets gevarieerder en wat uitgebreider. En wat mij betreft mag ontbijt wel al vanaf 8.00 uur in plaats van pas om 9.00 uur.

A centuries old house with modern comforts

Location was perfect to explore the old city while being just outside the rush of the center. Wonderful common spaces inside to read a book or play cards and outside patio for morning coffee or working remotely. The owners and staff were friendly and gave a history of the property.

Very disappointed in this accommodation

The room was charming and clean. We enjoyed the room and the bed was comfortable.

This "hotel" is really an Airbnb. The worst problem, there is NO ONE ON SIGHT to supervise your visit. When we finally found this location on the streets of Obidos, there are two confusing entrances to the property. Both require a CODE to enter the property, which we were NOT PROVIDED in our confirmation email. We called the "contact property directly number" on the email only to hear "not a working number!" We could not enter nor did we know if this was the "right" spot. Had to go to nearby hotel, with a receptionist, connect to their WIFI, download the Booking app and see the "contact directly" phone number was different than what was on email! Got in touch with the lady. She wasn't apologetic about the situation. We saw absolutely NO ONE once inside this place, no one to tell us about the property, where we could/couldn't go, about the breakfast, etc. It was bizarre. Also, by calling her again, found out breakfast is served beginning at 9 a.m.! which is too late!!! You won't get breakfast if you need to leave to catch a flight or continue on your journeys! Even though it is a charming "castle" property, I can not recommend this place!

It was like a fairytale.

Building is a delight. Our friend referred to it as a fairytale.

The breakfast was disappointing. It was chilly outside and a warm breakfast would have been very welcome.

Cozy rooms in the beautiful old town in one of the most beautiful buildings.

Stylish and beautiful old building in the heart of the old town, on a very convenient location, parking within a short walk, ideal place for living the life of the local people. Beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was marvellous.

A really memorable experience.

Location in Obidos excellent. Wonderful breakfast in a medieval tower room with all local delicacies. Comfortable bed. View of walled garden. Delightful! Excellent restaurant just a few (steep) steps away.

Localização fantástica, tivemos a oportunidade de explorar Óbidos pela noite e foi incrível. O café da manhã incluso era ótimo também assim como a cama confortável.

Do pequeno almoço, pois havia poucas opções e era muito simples. Penso que o pequeno almoço poderia ser mais variado, mais farto.

A magic place inside of an enchanted castle

This enchanting destination turned my trip magical, reminiscent of a journey back to medieval times. Roaming the entire area made us feel like kids in a candy store. The unique decor, extensive book collection, and CDs added to the unforgettable experience.

Estadia de sonho!

Uma viagem ao tempo medieval. O espaço remonta-nos a outros tempos, é simplesmente maravilhoso. Adoramos ao fim do dia estar sentadinhos na sala a ler um livro, quentinhos com uma mantinha. Foi como se estivéssemos em casa. O pequeno almoço foi muito bom. O pão fresco e fofinho com marmelada uma maravilha.

Nada tenho a apontar. Apenas o desejo de um dia poder voltar!

Unique!

Excellent ambience, very comfortable bed with crisp sheets. Easy to find and well located. Loved the baronial Hall which made the experience feel special.

The room was rather hot and could not adjust the heat/cooling unit.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation in Obidos. Nicely restored building and tastefully furnished. Great location close to the main street. If you are a book lover, you'll find it an even better treat. Would recommend that you try this unique experience.

Staying inside the walls is wonderful. Only difficulty is figuring out where to park and finding location of room.

When the town emptied of tourists at 17:00 it’s magical - walked all around in the late day light and just a few people around. Ditto in the morning after very nice breakfast.

Good enough, but not spectacular

Obidos is such a special town, and getting to stay there is a magical experience unto itself. Perhaps I could have stayed at any lodging in town and have felt this way. The hotel itself was historic and gorgeous.

There was no front desk and the staff wasn't responsive on whatsapp. Everything is self serve, so we checked in and out without seeing another soul, which was a bit weird. I know these buildings are old, but you could hear EVERYTHING the other guests did or said. We had a family with a crying child and it definitely impacted our sleep. No hate on them or the building itself, just something to consider if you are a light sleeper. Sound carries!!

Schönes altes Haus in der Ritterstadt

Top Lage. Ein in Turmform gebautes historisches Haus. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit kleinem Balkon und Abendsonne. Das Wohnzimmer ist echt wie zur Ritterzeit, wie auch die ganze Stadt. Wie in einem Historienfilm. Bis auf die vielen Touristen. Das Frühstück war gut, der Service und die Freundlichkeit hervorragend.

Authentic and magical place

Amazing ancient house in a beautiful médiéval village. Very nice breakfast. it is a must stay for at least one night .

No mini-fridge, and all facilities are quite basic, but it is adequate for the place.
