The lodge was very comfortable and we had the place to ourselves. I LOVED the claw foot tub and the whole vintage look and feel of the home. It was an enjoyable stay and we had such wonderful help there too.
Everything was perfect, Sonia went out of her way to make sure we had our almond milk and we had a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit and bread.

Beautifully restored Colonial home in easy walking distance to zocolo; rustic with lovely antiques, stencil detailing throughout and restful, cool patios. Umberto was our host and provided wonderful coffee & continental breakfasts for us at a beautifully set table. History within the property was so interesting: living room and library were fun to explore. Loved the painted clawfoot tub with shower - surprisingly excellent water pressure!
* Sonia Estrada's assistance with transportation and meals en route was invaluable! She was easy to communicate with and provided worthwhile info/suggestions and we truly appreciate her helping us put it all together. We expected to meet Martin Alcaraz but circumstances sent Gustavo to Divisidero for our transfer to Batopilas and we couldn't have been more pleased! Gustavo is professional & courteous, extremely knowledgeable about the region and its history/topography/culture and fun to spend time with; good thing he enjoyed all of our classic rock when on the road! He called ahead to the few restaurants available to ensure that vegan meals could be had for dinner. Our trip with him to Satevo was a wonderful 'addition' to our travels. He truly made Batopilas one of the trip's highlights!
Beds had 'old fashioned' metal springs (1 matrimonial, 1 twin in room) so a bit bouncy but comfortable enough. VERY warm for spring and the portable a.c. was too noisy to use throughout the night but we were fairly comfortable with a standing fan running. No one's fault - bugs a problem this time of year (horrible in El Fuerte, too).... still itching days later :-(

Beautiful old mansion with a fascinating history. Close to the plaza. Umberto was a great host.
It was all good. A little noisy Saturday night from the plaza festivities.

I stayed here one night. I wish it were a week. The staff was wonderful. The hotel property was dazzling. Stay here for a week if you can. The location is very central, and wonderfully situated. The town is charming, and the hotel makes a remarkable starting point and resting point. The breakfast is a great start to a day (preferably several days), and the staff are ready to offer ideas.
There is nothing here not to like. It's wonderful.

This hotel is one of the most beautiful and comfortable hotels that I have stayed in over 35 years of travel. I loved the beautiful plant-filled courtyards around which the rooms ate located, the stunning period furniture and decoration, the comfortable rooms, the retention and display of the photographic history of previous occupants and their associates over the more than 200 years of the building's existence, the delicious breakfast served in a lovely period room with views to the garden, the colour, the attentive staff and the very welcoming proprietor, Don Martin.
Nothing!
