HOUSE
The control of the external gate is the first button on the left near the front door. There is also another one, on the terrace, next to the entrance door.
The control of the light on the outer scale is located in the kitchen, near the brooms. You can leave this light turned on during the night but please remember to turn it off during the day.
If you turn on the air conditioner in the living room and simultaneously one or more appliances and heaters or fans the general counter may skip. In this case please exclude one or more devices and restart electricity, using all devices at the minimum level. The general counter is located on the wall behind the green door of the kitchen. Our advice is to always use the washing machine and dishwasher at night.
If during your stay the kitchen gas bottle ends, please call immediately Mr Molisso tel. + 39-081-8798338, asking him to take another. You won’t have to pay anything. You only say "UNA BOMBOLA GAS PER NICOLA MIGLIACCIO PRIMA
DELLE TERRAZZE VIA SERIO", he’ll understand. That’s all !
Please pay attention to the chairs of the dining table, which are in straw and hand- finished by artisans: for the children there are other chairs that are more suitable for them all over the house.
The BBQ is at guests' disposal. The tools are in the lower drawer under the kitchen oven. After use, please do not leave dirty tools or grids. When using the barbecue, please pay attention not to grill the terrace plants also!
If it is summer, it is likely that in the evenings there will be mosquitoes. At home, you will find anti-slip stoves
and plates to be used before going to sleep. For the terrace instead, you can use the citronella candles or the citronella spirals or repellent spray in the skin. They are sold in all shops, including supermarkets.
Please do not leave the gazebo and the big umbrella unattended in case of strong wind : they may move and cause damage. Just release a pair of laces that hold the one side of the covercloth before you leave. Tomatoes and herbs if any grown in the garden are completely bio and for you!
In Vico Equense there is a hard waste collection and there are severe penalties for those who do not do it well, so please follow the instructions and deposit garbage every evening for what is scheduled the day after. You can leave the bags outside the garage on the left. When your vacation is ended and you will check out, please try to leave less garbage as possible at home, otherwise we will charge you with an extra fee for the disposal.
As to safety at home, please note that Vico Equense is a very quiet small town from this point of view, but in any case all the window shutters can be locked with a key and that the entrance door is armored. Please keep attention to the keys: if you close all the windows and forget the keys behind the door, you won’t enter in the house anymore!
At the end of your holiday, before leaving be sure to:
- Leave the keys on the dining room table.
- close the windows.
- turn off all the lights
- leave the dirty linen folded and in one place only.
Finally, we remind you that the holidays are an opportunity to rest for everybody, therefore we ask you to respect the rules of civil society with your neighbours and to collaborate with them in the use of the common garage, which is intended for three cars of normal size.
WHERE TO GO SHOPPING
In the center of Vico Equense in the same road Via Nicotera you’ll find the supermarket CONAD, the fishmonger, the delicatessen, the greengrocer, the winery and other useful shops. At the University of pizza you can buy everything there is on the menu, including delicious vegetable portions to take away.
The restaurant has its own underground garage which leads to the upper hall.
Vico Equense is famous for its typical foods: we suggest you not leave before trying the famous fiordilatte , provola and provolone del Monaco by Di Gennaro, cakes and pastries by Andrea e Giovanni and the Gabriele ice creams and his dairy products, the gourmet handmade food by Pastammore shop.
In Vico Equense there are two chemists and a hospital with emergency service and medical service. At the chemists and in the hospital you can ask for some advice, if necessary.
In the centre of Vico Equense there are many ATM where to take cash, which is still used everywhere.
WHERE TO EAT
The University of Pizza, also said the Gigino’s restaurant, is a famous pizzeria which sells pizza by meter. It also provides a take-away and home delivery. Just call, order and ask that Vincenzo delivers the food to Nicola, Via Luigi Serio 45, in the "terrazze". Do not forget to leave him a tip!
In the center of Vico Equense are also other restaurants such as Terra Mia, a Sushi Bar, Il Buco with its small indoor garden, Tito's, Bistrot la Piazzetta , il Barrio and many others.
In Seiano, the next bay to that of Vico Equense, don’t miss a drink at sunset at the small bars of the promenade or have a dinner at the restaurant Mustafa.
In Montechiaro, just after Seiano, you’ll find the restaurant Il Patriarca, with its panoramic position on the Gulf of Naples.
In Sorrento, you can try Il Parrocchiano Restaurant, and the Pollio’s ice cream. Two other really good restaurants are Francesco in Schiazzano a fraction on the mountains of Massalubrense and La Torre in Santa Maria Annunziata, still a fraction on the Massalubrense’s mountains. The restaurant Eughenes in Termini, not to mention Maria Grazia on the beach of Nerano, with its worldwide famous spaghetti with zucchini…
We don’t report the restaurants with Michelin and Gambero Rosso Stars throughout the Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast because they are already very famous (and very expensive for our tastes).
WHERE TO PARK
In Vico Equense there are many paid parking garages. Throughout the center you can park on the street, where the stripes are blue. You pay for it in the appropriate columns and please display the ticket inside the car, not out! Free parking is only possible where the stripes are white. To tell you the truth, very few white stripes are available.

This was our first trip to Italy, and we found this house to stay for our first part of the trip. I must say the house is very nice and comfortable. It is on a busy street, so you do hear the traffic noise, but truly it got so I for the most part didn't even notice very much. The town of Vico Equense is cute, filled with friendly people and great restaurants.
The view on the patio is wonderful and at night with the sunset, it can be breathtaking.
Once in town as well you can catch the local train that takes you to a variety of places including Pompeii, Sorrento, Naples. We took this train for many days for the various outings we had planned, and it worked very well.
My only issue, and it’s because I have bad knees and other health issues, were the steps leading up to the house were tiring and the walk into town was constantly gradually going uphill. At times this was a challenge for me, but taking it slow I made it work.
The hosts were marvelous and very friendly and helpful as needed. Whenever I asked questions even before our arrival they always responded quickly.
I would recommend this house for the beauty and friendly people of the town.

Comfortable house perched above the coastal road with views of the crystalline Gulf of Naples. Ischia in the distance, the Marina di Vico just to the left. And the terrace...the terrace is the best. Scents of honeysuckle and rosemary. Fresh sea breezes to accompany breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Apertivi and digestivi. Simply unforgettable.
Town is a lovely short stroll away. Vesuvius always in view. Vico feels touristed but not super touristy. Excellent negozi, restaurants, pasticcerie, latticini. Kind, simpatici people.
Eleonora and Nicola are kind
and gracious hosts and were very responsive when we had an unforeseen issue.
Memories to savor for a lifetime.

This is a nice, roomy home, comfortable for our family and very clean. Nicola is a great host, meeting us at the property and giving us lots of recommendations for our stay. Easy walk to town and the train station. Good swimming beach nearby. We also enjoyed our fresh fruit basket thanks Nicola

Really enjoyed our stay in Vico Equense. Eleonora was an excellent host, we had a very warm greeting and if we needed any help she was very quick to respond. Apartment was lovely, the view from the terrace is fabulous (unless you don't like seeing the sun set behind Capri). Short uphill walk to the train station and Vico opens up the whole of the Sorrento coast. Apartment well appointed all that you would need. Would heartily recommend. Be mindful that there are a number of external steps to the property, but hey what a view!

Great Spot to explore the bay of Naples from. It's only 5 mins walk to the Train Station with access to Naples, Sorrento and Pompeii and 10mins walk into Vico. The terrace and view are amazing and property is really nice with enough space for our 2 families. Nicola and Eleanora are a lovely and helpful couple , we hope to be back one day.

Great location. Owners are wonderful. . Terrace is amazing ! It overlooks the bay and when the storms move in they are awesome to watch! Only problem is the road is very busy and not well stocked for travellers. Small car only for parking place.

We had a lovely stay in Vico Equense. The owner Nicola and Eleonora provided us with great tips, picked us up from the train station and had a a nice bottle of prosecco for my parents 50th anniversary as a gift.
The house itself is very spacious and overlooking the Napels bay al the way to Capri with stunning sunsets. Very close to the city center of Vico and a perfect connection with Sorrento, Napels, Pompeii and Vesuvius.
All and all we had a great stay and recommend this house to everyone looking to go the Amalfi Coast and surroundings.

We really enjoyed our week at the house. It was perfect for us, and Nicola and Eleonora are great hosts. Really good location too, walking distance from Vico Equense, and the car parking meant we could explore the area either by car or by train. Perfect, thank you.

So many nice things I could say about this property -- but mostly thanks to the hosts who were so welcoming and helpful. We hope we have the chance to come back!

We loved our stay. The location is perfect - less than a 10 minute walk to town and bus/train station. The outdoor space is perfect and I can't say enough about the sunsets!! We LOVED the small city feel of Vico Equense over the larger cities we visited. Pick up at the train station on arrival was unexpected and put this place over the top!!

Bella ITALIA
Das Haus und deren Vermieter waren super, kleines Manko war die nicht weit entfernte stark befahrende Straße
Aber das Gesamturteil ist sehr gut 😊 kurze Wege in die Stadt, zum Strand, zum Bahnhof👍

If you're looking to stay a bit outside the hustle and the bustle of Sorrento or Positano, Vico Equense is perfect. 10 minutes by train to Sorrento. Short walk to the train station. The property had a beautiful view of the ocean right from the patio! That's where my fiancé actually proposed to me. The pictures are beautiful!
The host was awesome, gave us extensive details about the surrounding area, even provided a discount card to the grocery store!
The property itself was big enough, and comfortable enough for 6 adults. Keep in mind, wifi is not included. The only downside was on cold nights, it got very cold inside. But there was enough blankets, so we slept fine.
My fiancé forgot his Fitbit and the host shipped it back to us, free of charge!
I would recommend!

Comforable Base with views
A very comfortable residence minutes away from the town, shops and railway station. The second bathroom which is on suite was great for our teenage granddaughter. The owner,Nicola, met us at the station and drove us to the property. He took a great deal of time showing us round and describing things to do in the local area. The highlight for us was the terrace with views towards the town and over the bay. Spending time out here was very pleasurable, particularly in the evening. We even enjoyed watering the plants in the mornings. Made us feel right at home. It is well located for all the sights in the area. We would thoroughly recommend this property for a stay on the Sorrento Coast.

Very comfortable and spacious centrally located apartment with beautiful sea view.
The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. We stayed for a week in September and visited Capri, Sorrento, and the Amalfi coast. The apartment is around a 10 minute walk to the train station which we used during our stay as didn’t have a car. It was nice to come back and relax at the apartment and watch the beautiful sunsets after a busy day sight seeing. We also used a bus to and from Naples airport which was also very convenient and about a 15 minute walk away. We tried several of the local restaurants in Vico Equense which were all very nice too. Would highly recommend the apartment.

We arrived in Vico and were met by Eleonora who was very friendly and showed us the property. We were very happy with the overall look of the property and the terrace was great. A fantastic view and a great place to sit with a drink playing cards before venturing out for food. Vico was a lovely town and a short stroll away even though I have reduced mobility the walk was mainly level. We used the Circumvesuviana train for all our trips and the station was very handy. Plenty of lovely restaurants to eat out in Vico so didn’t have to go back into Sorrento. Disappointed with Vico beach a very steep walk and disappointing on arrival as it was very dirty. I wouldn’t recommend that.
Only a few issues with the property were the noise from the road which carried on the whole night. The property is above the main road from Sorrento to Naples and is very busy, care needed when crossing as traffic does not slow down. Saying that we had an uninterrupted view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius so I suppose location has to be near the main road. Maybe ear plugs could help as windows did not block out sound. The other issue was explained to us but when it happens it can be a little annoying, electricity cuts out if say the air conditioning is on and you use the hairdryer. Also wii fii was only available at an extra cost which seems quite unusual these days, although maybe not in Italy.
Overall I would recommend the property as it is very well located not too far from Sorrento which gives easy access to tourist sights but being a little less busy.
Thank you Nicola and Eleonora.

Fantastiskt boende.

This was a really nice property in a good position for the station and Centre, it had everything you needed for a good stay. We particularly liked the terrace and the views although the road noise took some getting used to. We all loved the town and were made welcome by the locals, Titos was our favourite restaurant and everything was much cheaper here than Sorrento. Travelling to all the sites was easy from this location and our hosts were very friendly and helpful.

The place was great and the owners are very helpful and gracious hosts.
The view from the balcony was stunning, especially during sunset! The location is nice, short walk to train station and to the local square, where there is plenty of restaraunts and stores to accommodate most needs. We left for most of our day trips out of Sorrento, so being walking distance from the Circumnavania station helped a lot. Sorrento was only 5 stops away and only about a 10 minute ride.
The hosts were very helpful, they respind quickly to any concerns/questions you may have. They also provide local tour information and offer any assistance to help get you adjusted upon your arrival to Italy.
Great experience.

Very enjoyable stay with easy access to everything and a fabulous view from the terrace.
With the Circumvesuviana train station only 5 minutes walk away we were easily able to visit Naples, Herculaneum, Pompei, and Sorrento. Vico Equense is the ideal base for the area with plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops, and not nearly so crowded as the resorts such as Sorrento. The house is comfortable and well equipped with a big terrace with wonderful views over the Bay of Naples to Ischia. The house was advertised as having 4 bedrooms when in fact it has only 3. As it happens this was not a problem for us.

Perfect location to explore Napoli, Pompei as well as Amalfi Coast
The apartment is large, well equipped and otherwise exactly as described on the homepage. Our hosts provided us a warm welcome, explained everything in detail. We also tried the recommended home delivery of Pizza. The apartment is situated close to the train station with direct connection to Pompei, Ercolano, Naples, Sorrento ... A parking lot is in front of the house which was also ideal for our rental car. Overall, we spent a wonderful week. Although the house is located above the main road to Vico Equense, the level of noise is acceptable - as also confirmed by other guests.

A delightful apartment with a wonderful view
Had a delightful week here. The owners were very friendly and made us feel most welcome, including collecting us from the train station, which is only a 5 min walk away.
The apartment is well provided for, with plenty of space and a lovely large terraced which gets the evening sun, and looks out over the bay, with stunning views.
We liked being a little way out of Sorrento, and found Vico Equense very friendly, and with few tourists, mostly locals.

Lovely practical house, with a stunning sea view in a perfect location.
We had a wonderful holiday here. The house itself is clean, comfortable and easy to live in. It was equipped with eveything we needed; we felt it was our home from the start. The view across the sea is amazing whether you are inside or out - and even in April we were able to eat most of our meals on the terrace outside. The owners are extremely kind. Nicola greeted us - he is clearly very proud of the house, and rightly so. He ensured we could find everything we needed in the house, and also gave us invaluable information about the town. There were even Easter eggs for our children! The house makes a great base for exploring the area. We chose not to hire a car - it's not needed. There is a direct bus connection from Naples Airport to Vico. The pick up point in town is only 10 minutes from the house. The Circumvesuviana train station is even closer, little more than 5 minutes from the house with regular trains to Naples, Pompei, Herculaneum (for Vesuvius) and Sorrento. Also from outside the station it is possible to catch buses that run up into the mountains. We were able to use these to access one of the many spectacular high level mountain trails. Other trails can be reached from the house, as can several small beaches. Climb up to the statue of San Francesco for spectacular views. Vico itself is fascinating to explore. It is a working town rather than excessively touristy - and all the better for that. It is full of life and bustle and is very friendly. However it is also possible to escape the busy main streets and explore fascinating narrow lanes that open suddenly onto views of the sea far below. Vico has many varied shops and a more than adequate supermarket. The corner shop just beyond the station is easy to reach for fresh bread in the morning. Visits- Herculaneum, although smaller than Pompei, is more interesting and far better preserved. Both are awe inspiring however, as is Vesuvius. The Vesuvio bus from Herculaneum only allows you 90 minutes at the summit. This was OK when we went as the weather at the top was thick cloud and bitter winds. On a good day 90 minutes would be frustratingly short, more research needed when we return! Despite the weather, the walk around the crater was incredible. Sorrento is pretty and the craftshops fascinating - it is the more popular destination, but frankly we preferred to be staying in Vico. Thank you Nicola and Eleonora for a great holiday, the house was wonderful - we hope to return one day.

Wonderful house, lovely town, great base
We stayed here for a week with our two children. The house is lovely, very clean and well cared for with the most amazing view. Nico and Elenora are a lovely couple who greeted us warmly, showed us all we needed to know about the house, made us a very welcome coffee and took the time to share their extensive local knowledge to help us to get the most from our stay. The view and the terrace are difficult to beat but if you can tear yourself away, the town is lovely and is a really good base to explore this area. Only 4 stops from Sorrento on the circumvesuivian railway it's a really good place to be if, like us, you would like to have the option of a little distance from the tourist centres.

Breathtaking View
We stayed in Vico Equense with our two children and their grandmother. There was more than enough space for everyone in the house - it was too cool for us to use the beautiful terrace most of the days we were there in early March. The location couldn't have been better - it was an easy walk to the train station, the town (grocery stores, shops, etc.) and close enough to the beach that the kids didn't mind the walk down and up the hill. This was a great base for exploring Naples, Pompei, the Amalfi coast, Sorrento, Capri and probably many other places we didn't get to.
Nicola and Eleonora were waiting for us when we arrived and were very welcoming, showing us all we needed to know about their home and the area giving lots of good tips for places to go and see.
