Although an unusual layout it was perfect for our needs
The top of the stairs to go down to the lower bedroom needs attention, the carpet is not fastened down and our disabled daughter identified it immediately as a potential trip hazard, she didn’t trip on it but it does need to be looked at.

Location is brilliant for all the Northumberland landmarks. The village has 2 decent dog friendly pubs & artisan bakery next door.
There isn’t a freezer and the ice maker in the shed outside is fiddly to use & not user friendly when it’s raining.

Plenty of space and comfortable beds. Dishwasher and washing machine were a bonus
Windows were finger marked and cleanliness could have been better. No toilet rolls apart from a few sheets , and not enough dinner plates, only 4. Really missed a freezer for food, ice cream and ice pack for picnics. Carpet loose going down to bathroom.

Cosy, comfortable, good value, well located cottage perfect for exploring Northumberland castles, beaches, Hadrian's wall etc. Helpful communicative host.
We had no issues.

Excellent cottage and location.
Nothing really

Dog-friendly, clean, spacious, fully equipped and the welcome basket was a nice touch.
The Running Fox cafe within walking distance is a delight for breakfast and afternoon tea. The village has a good butcher and corner shop too.
The property is so conveniently located as a base to explore the Northumberland National Park, Kielder Water & Forest and Northumberland coast that we extended our stay!

Spacious and very well equipped accomodation, in an excellent location. We stayed for a week, and could easily have spend another week with all the attractions in short driving distance (between 10 minutes and 1 hour), like Alnwick, the National Park, Holy Island, etc.
The pictures of the accomodation on Booking are not accurate, the accomodation is so much nicer than on the fotos. There is a nice terrace (maybe add another 2 chairs and a bigger table), a separate room for the washing, and all the rooms are so much more spacious and light than on the fotos.

Easy parking, right outside. Small terrace with chairs. comfortable and warm. Good local shop, butcher and two pubs. Excellent centre for Northumberland.
No freezer. Some areas not as clean as they should be.

The accommodation was really comfortable and homely. Everything we needed was available and clean. Lovely location to travel around the area. The outhouse was perfect to lock bikes away and the cafe next door did a cracking breakfast
There could have been a bit more handwash / toilet roll to get us through the week and an absence of a freezer meant we couldn't freeze blocks for picnics and days out but that's pretty trivial info more than a problem

Character cottage in a great location. Although 2 bedrooms there’s plenty of living space and 2 bathrooms. I loved seeing the birds in the garden and on adjacent trees. Although near a main road it’s a quiet location with plenty of pubs, cafes and shops. Easy to get to the rest of the county from here.
Perhaps a bit of courtesy from customers at the adjacent cafe? The cottage is well screened so no one can pry in the garden or through the windows but when getting in my car I was made to feel uncomfortable by passing customers and staff staring at me from the cafe. Possibly a sign in the cafe garden and a word with the staff to show a bit of respect and discretion to the neighbouring properties?

Good location, nice village, well set up cottage with all we needed.
The only thing was that the shower was not hot or strong enough. but everything else was good.

Location was ideal to visit the surrounding area
A freezer would be useful for a family if eating in.

A very well equipped cottage with little extras such as hair tongs and straighteners. Two bathrooms one with a bath and one with a shower. Cottage is well situated for touring the area also pubs, bakery and brilliant independent convenience store in the village.
It was a homely and very comfortable cottage.
Kathy the host was very accommodating replying very quickly to any questions and dealing with a couple of minor problems exceedingly efficiently
Maybe more towels, and bins in both bedrooms and bathrooms..minor issues that did not compromise the stay at all.

Nice accommodation. Owner was friendly and helpful answering my questions before we went. Some welcome gifts, which was a nice touch. Nice area. Nice local people. Lots of good things to visit nearby. Good weather!
No toiletries in the bathrooms. Needed more dishwasher tablets. These are just tiny, trivial things that didn't spoil our enjoyment, but you did ask.

Great location and nearby cafe, shop and pubs, all of which were excellent.
We were happy with everything.

Lovely cottage in a charming, quiet village which is well placed for visiting the surrounding areas. Much bigger and more stylish than it looks on the pictures. Also really well equipped. Check in and out was easy and the host was available for any queries we had. There was also a lovely hamper waiting for us on arrival - thank you!
There is very little that could be improved! Perhaps more hangers in the wardrobes and more cutlery but this is typical of most holiday lets I've ever stayed in! The TV does need updating as it was a bit temperamental. This probably wouldn't concern most people but when you're travelling with kids it's an issue.

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a quiet location in Longframlington. The village has two excellent pubs serving good food and local beers, a butchers, corner shop, newsagent and a popular cafe/tearooms. A perfect base to explore Northumberland.
