Quaint apartment, located centrally for the alps region. Our group was in the area to follow the Tour de France as it went through the Alps region, and the apartment was perfectly situated for our travelling needs.
Rooms are small, the "hallway" connecting the room became the closet space for the smallest of the rooms.
Beds were comfortable. Nights were nice and cool.
Pots and pans have been well abused, the coatings are all scatched up.
Plenty of dishes and cups.
Nice sized refrigerator.
Washer and dryer are an absolute plus!!
Already thinking about a winter trip to the Alps!!

Very enjoyable stay in this property , the only thing that could be changed is the care and detail in the cleaning before new guest arrive . Overall good and would stay again

Lovely property with a great location in a stunning part of the French Alps.
We all had a great week in Les Carroz.
Excellent weather, stunning scenery and a great ski resort.
The apartment was perfect with loads of home comforts and a great location.
Lit path for the short walk into town, shop 2 minutes away and ski bus stop at the front door.
Town is picturesque and the linked Grand Massif ski domain has plenty of piste for everyone.
The owner Angie couldn’t do enough for us and was in regular contact with all the info we needed.
Hopefully be booking again soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great property for a family of 4. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Bonus to have access to Netflix. Good wifi. Close to shop to buy food. We used our car to get to the village and ski lifts but the bus stop was close by. Easy to contact Angela before and during our trip. Really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent base from which to explore the French Alps
We had a great summer holiday in Les Carroz. The apartment was a great find: small but clean and well-equipped and in a great, quiet location just outside Les Carroz. There's a well-stocked shop/petrol station nearby, and it's a short (10-15 min) walk or a 2 min drive into the village where there are a range of other shops, a tourist information office, swimming pool/sports complex and cable car. We found everything we needed in the apartment for self-catering and we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings with the board games (esp. Monopoly!), the selection of DVDs, UK TV and Wi-Fi.
The British owners were very helpful in quickly answering our questions before our trip. We really appreciated the great advice about things to do, on how to find the car rental desk on the French side of Geneva airport (see below), and also the information concerning the Swiss vignette (sticker needed to drive on the Swiss motorways). Our advice: if you hire a car, check if there is already a current year sticker on the windscreen. If you're lucky as we were, you can save money and stress).
We found lots to do in the area without driving miles. We enjoy walking, so we bought a pack of local walks and maps in the Les Carroz/Araches area. Some you can do straight from the apartment, or by taking the cable car (the Telecabine) from Les Carroz. If you enjoy alpine flower meadows and butterflies, you're in for a treat! We also took the cable car from nearby Flaine up to 2500 m, from where you can enjoy an incredible view of the Mont Blanc range. We also really enjoyed walking at Sixt-fer-à-Cheval, with its amazing waterfalls. The whole valley Samöens/Sixt valley (about 30 mins by car) was beautiful and worth exploring. The more adventurous can also go paragliding, white water rafting and mountain biking, all from Les Carroz.
For the benefit of others, here's Angie's advice on finding the the car hire on the French part of Geneva airport (ignore any signs for car rental!):
'Collect luggage and exit baggage collection. Turn left and head up escalators to departures. Once at top turn right and walk to far right top corner where you will go through French security doors and you are at car hire. Collect keys and car park on bottom floor. Once in car exit airport. When you get to main road turn right and drive through Swiss border, through tunnel and then follow signs for France. On return put French side address into sat nav. It will be on car hire docs.'

Very well set up, perfect for a family holiday in the alps
Great from the start to the end, all Angie's communications were excellent; she answered questions promptly and all the instructions were perfect. The apartment is a good size with a nice big bathroom and double bedroom with a smaller bunk room and a bed in the hallway which joins the bedrooms and bathroom. We didn't use the sofa bed in the lounge as we were just a party of 5. The lounge and kitchen are great with everything you could possibly need including WIFi and UK TV. Great selection of DVDs too. We walked into Les Carroz along the separate footpath which takes about 10 mins, the town is nice with a few good bars and restaurants. For those who prefer to travel on a budget (like us) the Spar around the corner from the apartment is big and has everything you'll need to self cater. Driving to the main lift in the morning takes about 5 mins and with 500 spaces you should be fine as long as you arrive by 9 or 10am. Overall, a lovely, quiet, clean, well appointed apartment with owners who clearly want their guests to enjoy the experience of staying in their super property. We'd love to go again.

Fantastic Summer Holiday
This is a great apartment for a holiday with everything you need inside. It is in a nice peaceful location but within easy walking distance to the lovely village of Les Carroz. Also within walking distance is a lovely outdoor pool and high rope activity and there is lots of other things to do for all the family. The gondola trip up the mountain in Les Carroz is also a must where you will find a number of hiking routes and a great café! The apartment is in a great location and within easy reach of Chamonix, Lake Geneva, Lake Annecy and all the beautiful mountain passes and villages. If you are into cycling (and hills), I would recommend taking or hiring a bike. We had great communication from the owner Angie, who passed on useful tips and advice on the local area before we travelled. A brilliant summer holiday which we would recommend to others.

Cosy, everything you need in a beautiful area
The apartment has everything we needed for a great week skiing in Les Carroz. Spacious for four people and fine for the five of us. Great shower, warm and very well equipped with satellite TV. The ten to fifteen minute walk to the town is pleasant and by a well lit path close to the road, supermarket close by. We did feel the benefit of having a car to get to and from car park at main cabin and to nip up to the bakery for fresh croissants. Our fourth visit to the area and would definitely stay in this apartment again. Owners very helpful too. Margaret Reid

Highly recommended
Unfortunately I was unable to stay at the apartment due to my flights being cancelled. However the owner (Angie) was first class in helping me with insurance claims and cancellation etc. All previous correspondence was quick and helpful and the booking process was simple. I would highly recommend booking this property as the owners were very nice and genuinely just wanted you to have a great holiday. I will definitely book again in the future.

Wonderfully peaceful
This apartment was serene, clean and incredibly well appointed. We arrived from a hot busy Paris so the peace and quiet of the Alps was much needed and this apartment delivered everything we wanted with great views of the mountains, a small but interesting village nearby, outdoor pool with views of mountains as you swim, good places to eat, plenty of activities and best of all, a cool and quiet night's sleep!
Close enough to Annecy which is stunning and Geneva for day trips and an easy drive from Geneva airport.
We enjoyed our week-long stay so much we're considering a winter holiday next!
Perfect for a family, group of friends or anyone really who's looking for a great break in the mountains.

a wonderful discovery
I'll preface this by saying that I am often described (by my family!) as a grumpy old man and by my own admission am cynical in nature and usually take with a pinch of salt any review that award maximum marks regardless of what context, believing the reviewer to have let their emotions run away with themselves or worse simply be a personal friend of the hotelier, etc. So for me to award top marks myself is a rarity but one justified in this case nonetheless; we stumbled upon this apartment by chance when searching the web and contacted the owner. Mrs Scott has been an absolute gem to deal with throughout, including going way beyond the call of duty to forward on to us a bag of dirty washing we had foolishly left when packing the car! As for the apartment itself, it is accurately described and ever bit as comfortable as the other reviews suggest - we are mum, dad and five kids, and had a wonderful time, Thank You.

Amazing apartment
This is our second year at this wonderful apartment and have just had another great holiday staying in Les Carroz. My wife and I drive to Les Carroz from Scotland, taking all the skis etc for the rest of our party - who Easyjet to Geneva and taxi to the resort (various transfers are available). This year we had a total of 6 adults in the party and found the apartment had everything we needed. Just 5 minutes up the road is a well stocked and perhaps more importantly well priced SPAR that also retails fuel at least 10 to 15 cents cheaper than on the Autoroutes. Les Carroz village is a 15 minute walk and has lots of bars, a great choice of restaurants and shops. The apartment is just a 200 yard walk from the ski-bus stop that delivers you to the Telecabine aand then the Grand Massif ski-area is at your disposal. The Owners have been extremely helpful with very prompt replies to all enquiries and providing you with all information you require ahead of your holiday. Would unreservedly recommend.

Fab place to stay
We have just had another great holiday staying in Les Carroz. The apartment has everything you would need and more, it's our second year there, we will be booking for 2015 and also considering a summer break there too. We had a car but it wasn't really necessary as there is a ski bus very close by and the supermarket is a 5 minute walk away. The village itself is about a 10 - 15 minute walk and has lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The ski area is vast, we've skied here for years and always had great weather. It's great to have a comfy home from home apartment rather than the basic 'wooden' sofa beds you so often get. Would recommend (but not on the weeks we want !!)

Home from home
It's a few years since we've tried self catering and it was a treat to enjoy a real home from home for a week. The Le Fayard apparment is cosy and has all the home comforts - from snuggly sofa throws to hot water bottles. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped, the lounge area is cosy and its balcony with ladder access to the garden is perfect for the kids to get out into the fresh air without having to stray far. The master bedroom with its floor to ceiling windows and automatic shutters is light and luxurious while the bunk room, though snug, has great under bed storage. The apartment has clever use of space throughout. Le Fayard's position couldn't be handier for the free ski bus, the excellent supermarket and a short, atmospheric walk through the woods leads to the village's fantastic new spa/leisure centre. Will definitely be back and would love to see it in summer too.

Comfortable and homely apartment
This apartment demonstrates the benefits of renting from the owner of a flat who uses it themselves, rather than from a company. It has the homely touches of personal decoration and well equipped kitchen and living space (games, DVDs, books etc). It feels like someone's home rather than just an apartment to let. The beds are comfortable as are the sofas. The single spare bed is in the area between the bedrooms and the bathroom (which could be disturbing for the occupant if others need to pass through on the way to the bathroom or loo) but the sofa bed is in the living room out of the way when everyone else is in bed. Like any apartment of its size, it would feel cramped for more than 5 people but it would sleep 7.
The well stocked Spar supermarket is very close by. Les Carroz itself is only 15 minutes walk away and has a range of bars and restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel across the road was not open during our stay.
I would recommend the apartment particularly because of the very prompt responses to all enquiries from Angie, the owner, who was really helpful.
All in all, a comfortable base from which to enjoy the massive ski area with the reassuring feeling that the owner is reliable and there if required.

Fabulous action-packed holiday
The Alps in the Summer is the place to be! This apartment was great- light and airy although the single toilet was a bit of a challenge in the mornings with teenagers! Very accessible- only 8 miles from the A40 and a 40-50 minute drive from Geneva Airport. Ideally situated for Spar with a short walk through the woods into Les Carroz Village. A real treat to have washing facilities as well, which meant we could wash our towels after a trip to the lake in the valley- a lovely swim to cool off in the 30 degree heat! Really well appointed accommodation- clean and well organised with everything you could possibly need to self cater. I was impressed by the little touches like the ladder over the balcony (we had a couple of barbeques) , the outdoor furniture, and the robust shopping bags which came in very handy. Very good communication via email from the Owners- very clear instructions and the new key pick-up system worked really well.
This is a fantastic activity holiday- plenty to do for younger children as well as teenagers. We all did the high wires course which we agreed was more challenging than our local Go Ape (and I have the bruises to show for it!) Canyonning was fantastic fun, and we also enjoyed the downhill BDD bikes and white-water rafting from Morillon (which I would highly recommend)
Who needs a beach when you have all these glorious activities and beautiful scenery on your doorstep? I’d highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys activities rather than lying around in the sun all day. We will be back!
