Very clean, very calm place and very nice and helpful host. We had a really good time. Breakfast are delicious.
Nothing, everything perfect

the ecolodge had great views and was quiet even though it’s just a short walk into town! both the bedrooms and common spaces/community spaces were so relaxing and well decorated. we enjoyed reading books and playing games that were in the communal kitchen! the best part about staying here is that Johan (our host) is INCREDIBLE - he is so helpful with recommendations for things to do in Banos and he got us set up with transportation options and tours. we had the best time and would recommend La Casa Verde to anyone who visits Ecuador!
we have nothing negative to say- everything about the property is stellar 10/10!! we will certainly return! thanks for everything!

the owners are very sweet and gave us load of information about Banos activities. the guest house is located near the river with amazing views. room was very clean and breakfast was just perfect!

Loved absolutely everything about this place! The location with beautiful view, the facilities simple and enough, the breakfast plentiful. The host Johan was brilliant with the support, knowledge and checking everything was OK.

Nicely located and Johan is a marvelous knowledgeable host.Breakfast was varied and tasty and there were complimentary cookies.

We liked SO many things about La Casa Verde. Johan provides five star service and attentiveness. He truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and assist us. The room and beds were comfortable. The view of the river and space to enjoy it were amazing. Breakfast was so delicious and substantial. The ability to order food in when we arrived later in the evening was also helpful.
We really do not have any complaints. The property is slightly outside of town so that should be understood for those looking to explore on foot. However, there are stores and restaurants nearby.

Great hospitality and a warm welcome by our host Johan. He was very helpful and friendly during our entire stay, way above expectations.
Always helping out with acitivities, restaurants and others.
Breakfast was also a big plus. Nice variety and personal approach.
It is worth booking a deluxe room with river view.

Nice place and very kind people. Great comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast.
We arrived at night and didn’t really feel comfortable, there’s a great big fence on the side of the street and it seemed deserted. The next day we were surprised about the cosiness and the great atmosphere so don’t let this keep you from going there!

La Casa Verde is a home away from home. Very relaxing and a host that goes above and beyond.

The host speaks very good English and was very engaged with how we were doing and if we needed anything. He helped us navigate our daily events by making recommendations, ordering cabs and booking tours. He gave us a free room upgrade and was flexible with check in and check out times. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The building is beautiful. We had a very comfortable king bed with a private balcony overlooking the river and mountains. Our spacious room had the best shower we had while traveling around Ecuador. The building has very nice community spaces as well. It is on a quiet street walkable to city center. Carnival was going on in Baños while we were there. This place was a shelter from all the chaos!
Would not change anything.

This was hands down our favorite place we have stayed on our travels. The place is absolutely stunning, and it's impossible not to relax. Johan and Angelica are so kind and helpful. Though we were only there 3-4 days, we truly felt 'home' for the first time in months. Many thanks to Casa Verde for your hospitality!

La Casa Verde beat all expectations! The pictures online do not do it justice. It is very comfortable, spacious, and clean. Plus the views are amazing! There is a common area and kitchen where you have access to tea, coffee, and cookies. The fridge and freezer is open for anyone to store stuff in which is great for left overs. There are many tables available for lounge, eating or playing games. Johan was incredible and went above and beyond to make our stay easy. He coordinated breakfast times, booked us massages at a local spa, set us up with a bike tour and to have the bikes delivered to the hotel. When we arrived Johan showed us some rooms with better views and asked if we'd like to switch for free. The rooms we upgraded to had a balcony overlooking the river with a hammock. The rooms were large and the bests were decently comfortable. It thought the pillow was a bit firm but nothing that deterred from my stay. The shower had hot water and TP could go in the towel. Johan really went out of his way to make us feel welcome and have the best experience. He was our man for information around Banos. He even got our laundry done last minute and allowed us a super late checkout. Breakfast was also delicious with made to order eggs in additions to yogurt, fruit, pancakes, and other items that changed daily. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is about a 40 minute uphill walk to downtown Banos. We had no issues calling taxis or Ubers which cost about $1.50 to get to town.

Johan is hands down the best host that I have ever had while traveling. He is incredibly attentive, friendly and welcoming. He is always available to help you arrange your day or just to spend some time chatting. Incredibly warm, friendly and helpful person.
Location is great. Just a couple minutes outside of the middle of Baños, and with an excellent view from the back patio. Downtown Baños has a bit of a weird vibe that we weren't particularly thrilled with, so it was really nice to escape to the outside of town and relax.

Johan and his mum could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We loved the open view from our comfortable room and the sound of the river. It was also great to have a hammock on the balcony. As many reviewers have said, the breakfast is excellent. It was also great to have access to a fridge and cooking facilities, and to have access to chilled beers, wine and soft drinks through the honesty bar system. We are keen walkers and enjoyed our walks to and from the centre of Banos. We visited during a very difficult time and reluctantly had to cut our visit short. We would love to return again in the future.

Very nice aesthetic. Good commitment to eco-friendly traveling practices. Breakfast spread was very generous. Beautiful, scenic location.
They request that you remove your shoes before entering, but the floors in the downstairs area and common spaces are so dusty! I had dirty feet after walking downstairs. Our shower lacked hot water. When we notified staff, it took two tries to remedy the issue so we both took cold showers. Finally, there are 2-3 dogs on the property right outside our window. They barked past 10:30pm and before 7am through the morning (couldn’t even go back to sleep). After a long day of activities, I could not appreciate this and requested to shorten my stay. Was really hoping for a restful retreat here, but it was not worth the high nightly cost.

Johan is the best! Very helpful, great recommendations. Breakfast is really good. Room was spacious, and beds comfy.
Location a little out of the way, but taxis are cheap. Limited dining options during the week, but delivery place nearby is great. They even deliver cocktails! Room on the front is a little noisy.
