About this apartment rental

This apartment is on the ground floor of Residence Chateau Vallaya, a small tiered complex of 24 apartments built in 2005.The sejour opens out onto an L-shaped patio and private garden looking south and west over the harbour of Garavan in Menton.There are 2 bedrooms,one double en suite and one twin with shower room. A separate WC is provided off the hall. The kitchen which is off the sejour, has a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric oven & ceramic hob. TV, DVD, Wi-fi, and radio with CD are supplied. All towels/bed linen (not beach towels) are provided. The main entrance is on the top floor with lift access to all apartments. Our excellent location means you do not need a car but a garage can be provided for a weekly fee of 35e.There is also a well maintained communal garden with fine palms & ornamental trees surrounding the pool which has a deck for sunbathing.

We found the apartment to be just what we needed for a lovely weeks stay in Menton. The apartment is wonderfully situated With a slight hill to navigate to get to the back door entrance but nothing too bad and a lovely stroll along the seafront into old town to enjoy the wonderful delights of Menton, with its restaurants, bars and shopping. The pool was an added bonus if a little cold, but once you were in, it was lovely. The security to get in and out of the apartment is first rate and the apartment itself is very modern, up-to-date and comfortable. We will definitely be looking to come back in the near future. Communication was excellent, and Charlotte the Property Manager was on hand for anything we needed. The only negative point I would have is that the cooker dials are completely rubbed off and worn away so operating the cooker is a trial by error but it was easy enough to work out once you got the hang of it.

Beautiful spot, convenient to city and beach. Very steep hill to access by foot ( for anyone who is physically challenged) but parking is available. Car is not necessary to vacation in this great condo as Menton is a very walkable city with train and bus easily accessible. Condo is very clean and well equipped. The garden and patio are wonderful and pool is just steps away!!

The hill is a slog but the view is worth it. We had a relaxing time with some exploring along the coast using the train. The station is only 8 minutes away via the back door to the garden. The villa was very clean and we had everything we wanted. We didn’t have a car so relied on a 30 minute round walk to the local shop for groceries. Overall a lovely place. Note there is not a BBQ.

We loved everything about the apartment and the location. Spacious and appointed really well with gorgeous gardens and pool. Near the train and a walk into menton. Perfect.

Chateau Vallaya is a very nice place to stay. The covered terrass offers an breathtaking view over the bay and is always a bit windy. Menton is a delightful seaside resort.

Very comfortable, air conditioned flat with a five star view of Menton, Cap Martin and the sea . I would recommend this to adults with a car (Garavan is up a hillside) or use taxis for heavy shopping . The pool is very grown up and floatables prohibited, not really suitable for children . You could however, supervise them from the decking The kitchen could do with some better glass wear which is the only gripe I had . A great find and many thanks to Charlotte for meeting us

Belle résidence , beau jardin bien entretenu . La piscine est un plus très appréciable. Appartement très bien équipé, propre, manque juste peut être machine à café type nespresso . Très bon séjour dans cette résidence.

nous avons passé une très belle semaine. emplacement super, plein de jardins accessibles à pied, centre et plage également. le jardin de l'appartement est très agréable avec une très jolie vue. la piscine parfaite !

Brilliant property , well equipped , Air Con , TV , Washington Machine and kitchen. Good access to all towns , beaches on public transport. Railway station and bus services 5 minutes away. Good Supermarket 10 mins walk and shopping trolley provided for heavy stuff Slight hill to the property that gets the heart pumping but not too strenuous . Good swimming pool at property and lovely patio / garden. Marks out of 10 - 9 Would definitely recommend and will come back -

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances à Menton avec nos enfants. L’appartement est de grande qualité , le jardin et la piscine sont très appréciables. La literie est confortable et la climatisation fort agréable avec la chaleur. Tout est fort bien organisé, nous n’avons rien de négatif à signaler à propos de cette location vue sur mer.

Les enfants ont profité de la piscine à proximité immédiate de l’appartement sans que cela soit gênant. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la quiétude de l’endroit et la gentillesse des résidants . L’appartement est très fonctionnel avec une belle vue sur la baie de Menton et l’Eglise Saint Michel. Le jardin est très bien entretenu. Nous pouvions accéder à pied au centre ville en longeant le port Garavan et les plages. Nous avons passé de très belles vacances!

This apartment is really well located in walking distance to Menton. It is well equipped, very clean and well maintained inside and out. Super patio area and access to lovely communal pool. Sea is 5 minutes walk and clear and blue. Train station nearby to explore the the coastal resorts. Helen and Karen couldn't be more helpful in organising and looking after us. A super place we would love to visit again.

Très bel emplacement en rez-de-jardin avec accès à un grand jardin privatif très bien entretenu. Très belle vue sur le vieux Menton. Accès à pied rapide et facile à la gare de Garavan et au supermarché sur le port ; attention toutefois à la pente pour les personnes âgées. Quartier très calme éloigné des voies de circulation automobile ; la voie ferroviaire à proximité n'est pas gênante ; la piscine est légèrement en surplomb du jardin, nous étions présents en hors saison alors qu'elle n'était pas encore en service. L'appartement est vaste et bien équipé, très lumineux, assez propre. La location d'un box pour automobile est conseillée - il devrait d'ailleurs être inclus dans le prix. Amélioration possible : constituer une réserve de produits de base, peu onéreux : papier hygiénique, papier essuie-tout, sel, sucre...

A tranquil, comfortable retreat

The apartment is beautifully situated with a lovely view over the sea and Menton. The garden is a lovely green oasis which adds to the sense of tranquility. It is a well furnished, comfortable flat. The walk along the tree-lined Boulevard Garavan, high up above the sea, into Menton is beautiful. It is also only a brief walk down to the harbour, and to the train station. We enjoyed catching trains along the coast. This property is highly recommended for exploring the Cote d'Azure and Liguria.

We spent there 2 unforgettable weeks in October! The way to the beach takes approximately 15 minutes by walk! It's modern, well equipped and cozy apartment with very nice garden! Menton and apartment itself are really outstanding! Highly recommended!

My husband and I rented this apt. for 4 weeks.....we found it very comfortable and well located and did not necessitate a car. Especially lovely terrace and garden and view of Old Menton. The living room with its two sofas was very comfortable for us in the evenings. Very secure building.

Les photos correspondent bien à ce bel appartement, spacieux, au mobilier moderne et de bon goût. Très propre et bien entretenu tout comme les communs de la résidence. Jardin terrasse et piscine sont un réel plus. Climatisation dans toutes les pièces, indispensable en juillet août. La résidence, sécurisée et avec parking souterrain est située dans un quartier calme. les résidents sont respectueux des lieux et de la tranquillité de chacun. Le centre ville est assez loin à pied mais accessible par le train, gare à 10 mn. Plages de galets proches.
