A very pleasant visit to the city to see an art exhibition and other sights

Steve and Fiona are very welcoming and provide a really good breakfast (catering for gluten-free needs). A very comfortable room. A quiet street only 10 minutes' walk to the centre of Chichester.

Good location and friendly owner

Very nice and friendly owner, doing his best to make the stay pleasant. The house is conveniently located near the train station and old town.

It could be much more clean, the bathroom is tiny and it's hard to turn around there, beds are very soft and the smells from the kitchen go directly to the room.

Excellent value in the middle of Chichester

The location of Cherry End is excellent, just a short walk to the city, and with good parking that facilitates motor access to the surrounding area - Bosham, Goodwood, Arundel, Amberley etc. Steve is a very cheerful and helpful host. We already have dined at The Ivy in Chichester, but Steve introduced us to Purchases, another very good restaurant. He went out of his way to make our stay very enjoyable. The room was light clean and spacious. The breakfast was substantial and cooked to order. We enjoyed both breakfasts we had, and were fortunate to share them with two very different but entertaining couples. We certainly will be returning to Cherry End when we go back to Chichester.

Street parking is right outside, but the curse of parking wardens was always in the back of our minds. Fortunately, Steve is an experienced and vigilant host and kept us out of trouble. With his help this was not really a problem, I just hate the idea of parking wardens, I guess! The bathroom was a little smaller than we'd like, but again this was not really a problem.

Great choice for a relaxing city break

Brilliant location, great host and comfortable room, with cooked breakfast made as you like it. Felt really welcoming and relaxing thanks to Steve. Literally 5 minutes walk from city centre. Would absolutely stay there again. We liked the fact that it’s deliberately a place with just two rooms, as that made it feel personal.

Nothing really - parking is in the drive of the house, so your reversing skills on the narrow street will get an outing. But that’s well outweighed by the convenience.

Small guesthouse in Chichester.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Great breakfast and comfortable bed, with large bathroom. Ideal location near city centre and railway/ bus stations. Also, Monty, the owners friendly little dog.

A cupboard full of cobwebs next to the bed. Generally the levels of cleaning could be better.

Having a lovely host plus the added bonus of Monty the dog made our stay a very enjoyable one.

The breakfast was wonderful, good quality food. Being vegetarian/vegan the host made sure we had options with our full English and the excellent coffee topped it all off. We had a twin room with very comfortable beds which ensured a great night's sleep. Having an easy walk into town where you have a huge selection of cafe's and restaurants for dining and a good mix of options if shopping is your thing was an added bonus.

Breakfast was excellent. Comfy beds. Warm. Cheerful staff. Peaceful.

Bathroom cramped but we were quite small people. Didn't like tea cup arrangement, not enough space to make tea and no alternative tea bags/ decaf.

We would definitely stay here again!

Steve was a wonderful host. He was very helpful when my husband suffered a fall. The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed visiting each morning at breakfast and enjoyed his little dog, Monty, who we found at our bedroom door our last morning just waiting for us to come out. We love dogs and were missing our own, so Monty gave us some doggy attention each day.

En-suite was very small, difficult to get dry after shower as so small, sorry.

Location very good for town and theatre. Breakfast good some fresh fruit or tinned fruit salad would have been good.

Carpet in bedroom very grubby needed a good shampoo. Shower room needed makeover

Congenial and friendly host Steve was very helpful with local information and ordering taxis etc. Breakfast was more than enough and cooked fresh with cereals, orange juice, coffee, tea on offer.

Perfect stay

Steve was brilliant - responsive to all messages and made the most amazing cooked breakfast. The room was huge and well looked after. We stayed for a wedding at Goodwood house and could easily get a cab there

Not a negative but just note that they have a dog - I have allergies so just had to take some antihistamines but this really wasn’t a problem and the dog is friendly.
