Owners were very kind and very helpful.

I arrived off an overnight bus at 08:30 and the owner immediately cleaned my room so I could check in and have a shower. She was also able to arranfge a transfer the next day to the train station for the Chepe train. The photos don't do the room justice as they are actually quite bright and come with both air con and a fan so you have the choice. The bed was comfortable, WiFi worked well and the shower good and hot.
Watch out for the mozzies, they bite :-(

Road was all dug up out front. Omar the owner was great. We said the construction situation was unacceptable, as we needed secure parking and couldn't enter the property. He gave us cash back to cover the amount he was receiving. We ended up driving to Los Mochis and found a hotel to stay in there. The midges, no- see-ums were terrible in El Fuerte. Never had so many bites. Not on the top of my list of Pueblos Magicos. I have visited 36 out of 134 of them.
NO see-ums. Not a town we were too impressed with even though it's a Pueblo Magico. Certainly has character and it seems as if things are being improved.

Beautiful discovery arriving at this hotel! The room was very pretty, cozy, well decorated and clean. one of the nicest room we’ve had during our trip. The owners were very sweet and friendly. They offered to drive us to the train station, for a small fee, allowing us to avoid more expensive taxi.
The floor is a little painful because it is made of pebble, though it’s beautiful

Great accommodation, we only stayed one night as were getting the El Chepe Train in the morning and the host dropped us to the train station in the morning which was great as it was a small town and our Uber wasnt working so this was greatly appreciated.

Omar knows everything. I ask a lot of questions, and he answered every one. He even gave me a ride to the El Chepe train station when the taxi didn't come. He is nothing short of amazing! I will definitely be back - not sure when, but there are hot springs not too far away that I must visit, and the town of El Fuerte is really awesome.
Only two small points: the shower is very narrow so it's hard to turn around in, and there was no bath mat. Normally not a big deal, but the floor is made up of pebbles (free acupressure!). The following wasn't a problem for me, but the room might be too small for some people, even if you're by yourself; I enjoy small spaces so it was perfect.

Omar the owner is a great person and very accommodating.
There is a rooster that crowed for hours and hours until sunrise for the 3 nights that we were there. I do not think Omar the owner could do anything about the rooster noise because it's on someone else's property.

We only stayed one night on our way to the Chepe. It was well located, small but confortable. We liked that there was a fridge.

It was very clean and cozy. It has air conditioner fabulous. The kitchenette was handy and the decoration nice.
The bathroom is very pretty, but too small. When you sit on the toilet, your feet are in the shower, no room to put your stuff while you shower. Too tight.

It's a great location, very clean and very polite and welcoming owner.
They should provide filter water like many many hostels and hotels in Mexico also at least coffee/ tea making facilities.

Lovely room just minutes from the centre of town, it's cozy and comfortable, and the family is welcoming and helpful. Hostess Maggie gave me great tips - don't miss seeing the petroglyphs!
Nothing! I didn't hear the dogs that some guests complained about. It's a peaceful neighbourhood.

The room is nice and well equipped.
It is necessary to improve hygiene (mainly in the bathroom-shower) and ensure that there is no noise, because the first night I did not rest.

WiFi and hot water shower were good. 5 minute walk to main square, on quiet street. Good value.
Drains smelled a bit.

Nice brick room, clean, comfortable bed.
Would have appreciated a hand towel in addition to the shower towel and hangers in the closet.

I did like almost NOTHING in the hotel. The only good part was the air-conditioning that gave us comfort in the hot climate.
There is a long list:
1. The rooms were very very tiny and the bathrooms too. Seemed more like hostel rooms to me and not hotel rooms.
2. There was no one at the reception welcoming us, reaching out to the hotel was difficult by phone too. They did pick up our phone call after trying to call them many times.
3. Very unprofessional behavior of the owner of the hotel. They have just 4 tiny rooms. After booking 2 rooms online, when we saw that the space will be very small for us, we wanted to book another (3rd) room over phone call. The owner confirmed that they have an extra room available for us and we can pay him when we reach the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel we were surprised to see that the extra hotel rooms were allotted to another guests. And the owner told us that he did that by mistake, which was a BIG LIE of course. We were really disappointed by this utterly unprofessional behavior.
4. There was no parking on premise and we had to park on the street risking our cars’ safety.
5. The beds weren’t comfortable up to hotel standard. And the size of the beds were not Queen at all, they were smaller than that. The description in booking.com is FALSE.
6. The bathrooms were very very tiny, you can’t even move very comfortably once you are inside.

Very clean and comfortable. Great to have a fridge in the room and lots of charging points.
Would be nice to have a way to make some coffee in the morning

Clean and comfortable room with rustic chique. Looks even nicer in real than it does in the pictures. The owner is extremely helpful in arranging activities and transportation. Best value for your money in all of El Fuerte!
