Vale a pena demais!

Everything is fantastic here - very friendly and informative owner, very good buffet breakfast .... plenty of fresh fruits, the fresh guava juice was out of this word. The location is right in the center of the historical center. Short walk to the main plaza and secondary plazas. The cable car station to the lower city of Salvador is just a couple of houses from this guest house. The staff are super friendly too.
I ran out of Brazilian money and he has someone who comes regularly to change money for a very good exchange rate. Don't change money at Salvador Airport. You will lose 20%.
Nothing.

The location is very good. It is in the heart of the historical center. The owners are very polite and nice people. Always there to help any way they can.
It needs some serious maintenance. The walls need painting. The humidity has left marks on the walls both in the bedroom and in the bathroom. Also, our bedroom was next to the main road which made it impossible to sleep without earplugs and there is was no safe as described in the facilities. The bathroom is not inside the bedroom. Last but not least, we found 2 cockroaches, one in the dining area and one in our bedroom.

Location is great and the owner + the staff are incredibly nice and helpful
Some rooms are quite old and the bathrooms are tiny.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Carmo. The thoughtful owner Newton really puts in the extra effort to make you feel at home. Extensive breakfast is served at the balcony overlooking the water, which is a great way to start the day and explore the city of Salvador.
The rooms feel somewhat old, but that also is part of the charm, staying in the old colonial style houses.

The location is excellent. The owner is very helpful too. The breakfast was good.
it really needs updating as in new furniture and the walls need painting. Our bed was two singles put together and the sheets didn’t fit the bed properly. It’s also on a very noisy street so not that comfortable to relax in.

The location was good. Nice area.
The bathroom was very very tiny. I had to squeeze into the bathroom. It was so tiny that to use the toilet your feet had to be out of the bathroom door. Also, the bathroom floor was constantly wet . I am not sure where the water was coming from maybe the toilet bowl. Mold on the walls and my room was not that good. Maybe the other rooms are better I don't know.

Great place with a lovely view and a lovely host!!!
The guy at the reception was really kind, friendly and he spoke Spanish!
I felt welcome and really enjoyed the chat with him!
The location of this place is just 10/10!
The only thing that was not working was the WiFi
Apart of that I had an excellent stay!
Thank you!!!

This Pousada is the best place to stay in Salvador. Nilton is such a friendly host, the location of the pousada perfect with a beautiful view of the bay, the room we stayed in was very spacious with a giant balcony, the breakfast had a great variety of food. We will definitely come back and stay with Nilton again :).
Everything was perfect for us. For people with walking difficulties, it might not be the right place to stay because of many stairs.

Gorgeous colonial hotel in the old town, the view is breathtaking, if you enjoy design and culture this is the right place. We booked the room with the balcony, 100% worth it. It’s located in the best area, the breakfast is amazing and the host so helpful.

Stayed here just for one night but it was all great. The owner (man in charge) was very helpful and friendly and made us feel very comfortable l(like at home). We arrived late (shortly after midnight) and the next day we could leave our bags the whole day at the reception.
Breakfast was also very good (fruits, bread, and coffee) with a nice view of the harbor.
Not the best privacy (we had a room without a private bathroom but with a hammock:) ) for the whole week but for a short stay totally worth it.
Nice people and a really good location. Would recommend.
