Lovely house, perfect for our Easter holiday

Excellent for a multi generation family holiday, room enough for everyone to have their own space, would not be suitable for persons with mobility problems. Location great, near enough to walk to the beach and the coastal footbath.

From the price(very competitive) to the communication from the vendor, the preholiday experience was fantastic. The property was very well presented, lovely and clean.
The house is lived in, by that I mean it felt like a home and not some show house, were you are forever, panicking about the kids touching, breaking, or spilling something. We all felt at home immediately. Our stay, has been a real memory maker for 3 generations of our family. The area is idyllic with plenty to do for all ages, the local beach is fantastic, however a little difficult for oldest generation to access. We went to the beach in Nefyn, where the single road takes you to the beach. It also a small shop/ eatery with benches outside, so the oldies could chill, eat and watch the younger generation play on the beach. Managed to have a round of golf on the renowned, Nefyn Golf club, the £50 round was worth every penny for the excellent course and the most stunning views, unfortunately didn't get to play the old 9 hole course as it was closed for repair, however its opening back up and from the photographs it tops the course we played on. Some of the family did mountain biking in Snowdonia, with some amazing runs for all abilities.
We ate out a couple of times, and had some lovely food. A word of advice book well in advance as it is very difficult to get a table especially for a larger group.Had a takeaway curry from Joe's it was one of the best curries I've had in a long time.
Thanks to James the host, and the cleaning team for giving us the perfect base, for a fantastic holiday.

Enjoyed our stay in this lovely house.
Check in time of 5pm seemed rather late considering we had to check out at 9am. We actually didn’t get in till around 5.30 as cleaners hadn’t finish.

Lovely Christmas Break
Stayed for 12 nights, group of 9. Quiet area but the beach is lovely and there are 3 pubs within walking distance. The petrol station over the road has a shop which had everything we needed with a butchers counter & bakery.
The house is huge and great for a large group. It’s very well stocked with lots of cleaning materials supplied. Bedrooms are nice and beds are comfortable. This is our 2nd time at the property and hopefully won’t be our last.
Thanks James

Great location but house could be better
The location is fantastic and is only a short walk to a lovely beach and then short drives to other wonderful beaches on the peninsula. The house has all of the basics you need for a lovely break and is well equipped. There is a costcutter shop just a 2 min walk away but be warned that it is very expensive. There is a good DIY shop in the village that sells everything you need for days on the beach. The owner’s communication was good, he was in touch with us and took the effort to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the house, this was not up to scratch, there was a lot of dust and crumbs still in the property when we arrived on the Friday, we made our feelings known to the owner and he was very apologetic. The house could benefit from some modernisation, the sofas are old and some of the decor is dated. In summary, perfect location and well equipped house but it could do with some modernisation and it certainly needs to be cleaned more thoroughly in order to meet basic expectations.

New Year Stay - Group of 10
Had a lovely stay. Spacious property, ideal for a large group. Well equipped kitchen and the kids loved the games room. The goody hamper on our arrival was a very nice surprise. Morfa Nefyn is a lovely area and great for long walks along the beach. The Cliffs pub/restaurant is a 5 min walk away and we would highly recommend. Hope to come back one day.

An imposing Edwardian house which is furnished in a New England style with large outdoor dining area
A party of six stayed for a week in July and we spent most of the time outdoors as the weather was excellent. The Ty Coch has to be the best situated pub in Britain, the food and views from the Cliffs pub are excellent also the Ship at Edern is very good. We walked along the beach at Porth Dinllaen and visited the Art gallery and beautiful beach at Llanbedrog, visited Aberdaron and took the ferry to Bardsey Island. Didn’t play any golf but the course looks a real challenge in a fabulous setting. The house is superbly appointed, in fact the most comfortable any of us had ever stayed in! The house is about 400 metres from the beach which is very family friendly full of children making sand castles and running in and out of the sea which is shallow for quite a long way out. Two of us climbed up the Rivals mountains nearby to see the Iron Age village of about 50 huts. Worth the effort as we could see the Wicklow Hills in Ireland. We also went to some beaches unknown outside the local area which are amazing, Newborough, Aberfraw and Rhosneigr. So many places we didn’t visit Snowdon and Caernarfon and Conwy castles, so a return next year is a must. I would recommend the unexplored Llyn peninsula in North Wales to everyone and the Captain’s House Morfa Nefyn in particular.

Very comfortable homely property, warm and well equipped.
Seven adults, four children, one baby, and a Springer Spaniel - we all had a very enjoyable stay at Trigfan, despite the wet and stormy weather. The house had all we needed, and we felt very much at home immediately. The beach was close by, there were handy local shops for the occasions when we ran out of provisions! The children loved the attic bedrooms, and the house was so spacious that there was plenty of room to spread out. On the whole the house and kitchen in particular was very well equipped, the only thing lacking was a coat peg rack - so many coats, and nowhere to hang them up! But we had a great week, loved the beach, and would recommend Trigfan for family groups or reunions.
