About this house rental
Beautiful, private casita one block from the plaza. Historic charm with modern conveniences. Perfect for quiet retreat. Fenced flagstone patio in back yard fully equipped with gas grill, outdoor fireplace, outdoor dining area and french doors opening from the house. Large front yard fully enclosed. Full front porch creates shade for rocking chair. This house is peaceful but just steps from the fiestas and activities on the historical Mesilla Plaza. Shops and restaurants, an independent film theatre and a bookstore within two blocks. Boutique wine bar with a lovely shaded patio and live music less than a block away. The house is fully equipped with all amenities including everything for the novice chef. Air conditioned for summer comfort.
*After taking some time to long term rent this Property, we are back to vacation rentals!

Property was a very cute casita style home surprisingly well stocked. Very authentic to the area. Very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider renting again.

We loved this cute little adobe. It was very comfortable and clean, close to restaurants. Our daughter-in-law stopped by and she runs an AB&B and was taking notes of all the amenities that were available. There was nothing lacking as far as kitchen/bath supplies. Very pleased and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a pleasant stay.

This is our second stay at this house in Mesilla, and we love it. Its clean and comfortable, and walking distance to town. We look forward to our next visit.

Yes, 10 stars! The most darling, magical little house right near Mesilla plaza. My first impression on walking into the house was how clean it was and the lovely aura of peace and tranquility I felt. The house is supplied with everything you could ever need. It's been awhile since I felt so content and relaxed, but the house brought me that. The neighborhood is very quiet, so nice to sit out in the evening in the front or back yard. At one point I locked myself out and I emailed the manager in a panic. Megan responded quickly and told me what I needed to do. So I give this property a very high recommendation and this Canadian plans to return next year. It's so perfect!

Very nice and very well equipped house. The house has everything that is needed, and then some. The location is great. Being in a "historic" neighborhood is good and bad. Most of the houses are very nice but as with any location there are some that are "not so nice". Unfortunately the property right next door. We will stay here again.

We stayed at this casita several years ago and it was just as we remembered, very nice! The location is perfect for all we like to see and do there, very clean and comfy for the tow of us. Thanks for hosting again.

We were retracing the route we took on our honeymoon 50 years ago. The motel we originally stayed in was no longer available so we booked this precious adobe casita in Mesilla. Boy! Are we glad we did!!!! The only negative is that we couldn't stay longer! The pictures online DO NOT do this property justice! Whoever restored/updated this casita did an absolutely excellent job. All of the old charm still intact, but all the modern amenities available. The casita was spotless, the bed beyond comfortable. We would have loved to have spent a month here! It is within easy (even for my wonky knee!) walking distance to the plaza in Old Mesilla. Take note that there are no streetlights so if you are not planning on being back to the property before dark, just make sure you have a flashlight to help you see your way. There are some available for use at the casita. Neighborhood seems very safe; we had no worries about it even at our ages. We arrived after dark on the first night so had a bit of a problem seeing the number on the fence, but once we realized where we were it was no problem as the lights on the front of the house lit up the walkway very well as we unloaded. The only suggestion I would make is to maybe have a luggage rack available. That was truly the ONLY thing lacking in this amazing property!!! We love the Las Cruces/Mesilla area and hope to return soon to this precious casita!

We were in Mesilla as part of our extended vacation and were fortunate to stay at this property. The house was a perfect size for the two of us, was well-maintained, and very close to the Mesilla plaza and all that it offers (restaurants and coffee shops and a variety of stores all within easy walking distance). While we never felt we were not safe, it was a little unnerving the first night when we realized there were no streetlights away from the plaza! The host of the house actually has flashlights next to the front door as we found out when we got home! Nice touch. Will try to schedule this property again when we are in the area.

This little casita was very clean and was in the perfect location. The wifi and TV situation left something to be desired, though, with both having spotty reception. Otherwise, a great stay!

We spent a long weekend and loved the property. The house is very comfortable, has everything you need and a perfect walking dispatch to the square. The only negative comment is if you plan on using the couch bed, don't! Its extremely uncomfortable. The owner noted this is to be replaced soon. We hope to visit again next year!

We offer this review not so much as a "statement of fact," but rather as a statement of "considered opinion." It is our opinion that the only way to make a guest feel "at home" is to make your home feel like their home. We have never stayed at another VRBO (except for a large house shared with dear friends in Monterey Bay), which has been so beautifully arranged and perfectly appointed to make a short stay feel like walking out of "your front door" and into a world of friendly, happy people...sharing the best that Las Cruces and New Mexico has to offer.
The only "negative comment" that we might have to offer is that we have looked to book this property again in two weeks, and it is not available for our dates....boo!
We give it "5 Stars" only because we aren't allowed to give it more.

Easy check in. Spacious front and back yard. Kitchen was stocked with everything youd need plus more.

The property is clean and cozy. There was a sewer smell when you first arrive (looks like a rock covers the sewer pipe). The outside is lit with solar lights which makes way for safe entry to the door at night. Was planning on having a BBQ but the grill did not look clean. Loved going for a bike ride from this location. Overall, it was a great weekend experience.

It was our first time visiting this region. This property is perfect in every way for a stay in Mesilla. We enjoyed all the local festivities and dining. It is convenient to the interstate for day trips all over SW New Mexico. We took advantage of it all. One of our best short vacation.

This place had everything we needed for a getaway weekend. I grew up in Las Cruces but never experienced it like this. Location is perfect for walking to restaurants, shops and historical locations. The house was very unique and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

This very lovely casita was located just off the plaza in Old Mesilla. It was convenient to all the historic buildings, church, restaurants, and shopping that Mesilla has to offer.
The home itself has been meticulously restored and updated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything imaginable for cooking and eating meals. The bathroom and bedroom linens were in good shape. The bed was in good condition. There are beautiful and well equipped patios on both the front and back of the home. Both patios are fenced for privacy.
This is a very comfortable, historic home, in a great location. We will definitely stay here in the future if we are in the area again. Give it a try - you will not be disappointed.

This very lovely casita was located just off the plaza in Old Mesilla. It was convenient to all the historic buildings, church, restaurants, and shopping that Mesilla has to offer.
