Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, very friendly innkeeper. Lovely courtyard for an apero.
4.1
Very well located a short stroll from the town centre, where there was plenty of choice for an evening meal with some great recommendations from the proprietor. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a view to the front of the hotel.

The breakfast was good. The room was nice. It could have used a drying rack of some sort for clothes, but it was a nice room.
4.1
Spotlessly clean hotel and rooms, crisp sheets, lots of towels and great water pressure. The innkeepers were friendly and accommodating. The “book/library “ theme throughout gave the experience charm and interest.
it was perfect

It was nice. I'd be happy to stay there again.

The theme about books in the whole hotel looks really nice
The view from our bedroom was looking at a roof and could not see anything else but not a major issue

The location was very good, the hotel was small and quiet, it was also very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was typical French breakfast so we knew what to expect. There were croissants, baguette, eggs, cheese, ham, fruits, some müsli and cereals, two kinds of juices, fromage frais, butter, Nutella, jams etc, and of course coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Our room was also as expected, it was very clean and comfortable and while we heard some noise from upstairs in the middle of the night (walking, moving furniture, tv), otherwise the hotel was very quiet. There was also coffee and tea and an electric kettle in our room which was nice (especially as the restaurant was closed and there weren't any place to get coffee or tea otherwise nearby). We also liked the theme of the hotel and many small details e.g. in the breakfast room so our stay felt very special and very different from staying at a typical chain hotel. We could also park our car in front of the hotel without any problems. We had expected that the room may be at this time of the year a bit chilly but it was actually super warm. The village itself was much more interesting than we knew beforehand and everyone was very friendly so we were happy to have chosen this place (it was a random choice).
We didn't know that the restaurant was closed at the moment so that complicated a bit our stay (we had read good reviews so we had planned to have dinner always at the hotel). The patron was however very friendly and he recommended us places where we could eat. One small thing was that we found the pillows to be a bit too high for us as we have at home futon and flatter/ergonomic pillows, so we couldn't actually use them but put some clothes as pillows instead. The beds were otherwise confortable and spacious and we liked the firm mattress so all in all we slept quite well.

Very convenient location on the main road (not busy) leading into the town centre. Quirky old building dedicated to famous French authors. Good airy breakfast room, and good quality continental breakfasts. There is a free public car park immediately behind the hotel, but if you prefer to use Parking Bleue in the street immediately outside, the hotel has tne necessary passes.
Nothing, really, though it's a pity Covid meant that the restaurant was closed. (Excellent food in town, though.)

The breakfast was quite good.
We specifically asked for a quiet room. Our room was directly on the main road leading into the town. The double glazing did not cut out the noise of cars passing during the night. The fan in the room would have helped reduce the noise, but it was broken!! We didn't sleep well at all. Also, the owner/manager was generally grumpy throughout our stay. His wife was more pleasant.

Recently renovated, comfortable and clean room. Very comfortable bed.
Warm welcome and good service provided by hotel host.
Breakfast is good and personally served by the host. French bread, croissant, egg, cheese and ham.
Good value for money
