About this house rental
Tickeridge Farm is a beautiful 5 bedroom English country cottage - ideally suited for getting together with family, friends and colleagues.
Its setting is perfect and wonderfully private – sitting in a large fenced garden with rolling lawns and views towards the Malvern Hills. It's no longer a working farm but is surrounded by 5 acres of our fields where you’ll find horses grazing.
It lies outside the quintessentially English village of Hanley Swan with its village green, lily-covered duck pond and a very welcoming pub with an open fire. During the restoration of this 16th century house, great care was taken to preserve its original elements whilst incorporating all mod cons.
Massive 30ft kitchen with range cooker, granite worktops, breakfast area, table to seat 10+ with french windows onto the terrace, gas BBQ, outdoor dining and croquet lawn.
Large oak beamed living room with comfy sofas and fireplaces at each end and a TV/games/reading area with a Smart TV- iPlayer, Netflix.
Downstairs cloakroom and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer
Upstairs two bathrooms - with baths, walk in showers and heated towel racks and five comfortable bedrooms: two double bedrooms with kingsize beds, one single bedroom with a double bed and two bedrooms with adult sized bunk beds.
As you would expect duvets with cotton bed linen and towels are provided; electricity and oil central heating is included as is an initial very large basket of logs to feed the fires. There are a number of TV/DVD/CD players, a Klipsch iPod sound dock, Amazon Echo and WiFi. In the well equipped kitchen there is a range cooker as well as a microwave, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer
An extra fold-up bed (for +1 child); a travel cot and high chair are available.

A lovely farmhouse in a great location, surrounded by fields but very close to amenities for all ages to enjoy. We particularly enjoyed the large kitchen with its view of the garden and the horses in the next field.

A great spacious home for friends and family to stay, relax and entertain. What I loved most about the place was watching the horses graze as we ate our our meals in the kitchen. The house had the most spectacular views too.
Thank to both Dugald and Simon for being ever so gracious.

The Perfect getaway
I spent an absolutely gorgeous weekend catching up with 6 old friends at Tickeridge Farm.
Everything was great. The property was spotless , the bedrooms were lovely - special shout out for the excellent quality bedding which felt like a luxury hotel.
It’s really well appointed and the huge kitchen table is glorious to spend hours around chatting, eating and drinking.
We had a bbq and we’re able to play croquet while the burgers were cooking. It’s just all so idyllic.
We visited the Swan pub which is about a 15min walk and had a lovely meal there too.
We also rented a boat from Upton marina and cruised the river Severn for a few hours.
Can’t recommend this place enough as the perfect getaway - as a base for exploring nearby - or just relaxing and staying put because it has everything you need.

Family get together
Fantastic house, set in beautiful surroundings but near to amenities. The host was fantastic, flexible and extremely understanding,we had to postpone twice due to covid. Perfect place for 5 adults, 4 children and 3 generations of our family to get together. Will definitely revisit. Thank you

Fantastic Country Getaway
Our group of 10 early 30's friends had a fantastic 5 nights at Hanley Castle.
Communication and the check in process was smooth. The kitchen was was well stocked with cooking utensils and staples. The kitchen and living areas were very spacious and cosy, especially with the fire going (plenty of wood on offer).
The bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms were great, with two baths and a supply of body wash.
We enjoyed some country walks, with a number of pubs within walking distance.
Overall, we couldn't fault the stay, and enjoyed spending some peaceful days and nights in the countryside.

Fantastic weekend
The accommodation was great for 6 adults and 4 children. Clean, spacious and extremely well-equipped. Farm land all round and a secure garden for children. Both Dugald (owner) and Simon (who lives just down the road) were very pleasant and helpful. Had a power cut whilst there due to Storm Arwen, but house had a plentiful supply of candles, a barbecue and woodburners. Simon was on hand to come and check we were OK. Would certainly recommend .

Amazing house, highly recommend!
My friends and I booked this property for 2 nights, to celebrate a 40th birthday. From when we made the booking to leaving the property everything was so straight forward. Both the owner and the caretaker we so friendly and helpful on every communication we had.
The house itself is beautiful. Gorgeous huge kitchen, nice cosy lounge and comfortable beds. The house had everything you need and more.
The gardens and surrounding areas are amazing, beautiful views.
We went into Worcester for a night out, it was only 15 minutes away. There are also more local pubs.
I really can’t recommend this place enough. We will be looking to book there again at some point.

Lovely place for a weekend, family get-together
This is the second time we have stayed at Tickeridge Farm for a family celebration. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and has lots of charm. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and the children loved playing outside. The location is great - it is an easy walk to the local pub for a nice meal and not far to drive to enjoy a walk on the Malverns. We would love to stay again.

Fabulous family house
We have just had a wonderful weekend enjoying the vast and incredibly well equipped kitchen, lovely log burner and beautiful gardens at Tickeridge Farm. The kids raced around outside before slumping on the comfy sofas while adults relaxed with a glass enjoying the view. Dugald was very helpful throughout the booking process and even rang to check all was ok during the weekend. Would highly recommend this gorgeous country escape.

Idyllic semi rural retreat
Our family group of 9, ranging in age from 91 to 1 spent the early May Bank Holiday weekend enjoying the comfort and convenience of Tickeridge Farm. Superb weather further enhanced our stay and the plentiful sun loungers were well used, in the shade of the apple tree. Croquet on the lawn and watching the ponies in the field next door provided easy entertainment. The large level garden was ideal for little ones to play safely. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the gas barbecue made easy work of feeding everyone. Evenings inside were also very comfortable and the separate seating areas for TV viewing and others useful. Hanley Swan is a picture postcard English village, and the annual open gardens event popular with some of the older members of the group. The neighbouring village pub was a good place to collapse on our last night when when the little ones had gone home! Altogether a very successful weekend.

Great location and lovely garden surrounding the property. The table was large enough to seat 10 comfortably. The showers are great - very good pressure. Beds very comfortable too. Lovely pub in Hanley Swan. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Perfect venue for a family get-together
Very impressed with the quality of the accommodation. It was warm, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The layout worked really well for us with 5 adults and four children ranging from 8-13 and the children loved the outside space. Definitely somewhere we would come back to as there's also plenty to do in the local area.

We were looking forward to a family trip away in the Malvern Hills but a little anxious that the property might not live up to our expectations. When we arrived at Tickeridge Farm we were absolutely delighted. The property is beautiful. Tastefully decorated, with lots of lovely featured and set in fantastic countryside. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and can't wait for our next stay!

We stayed at Tickeridge to celebrate a 40th birthday. House is really lovely in a gorgeous setting!
The kitchen is fab for a group of adults to eat together - (we ordered in as didn't want to cook!) Living space is great but probably suited to two families ideally as lounge is split in two so couldn't sit together comfortably and some of the girls were in bunk beds - not easy when you're the wrong side of 50!
Easy pleasant walk to village pub who kindly sorted out breakfast for us! Food in evening was ok but a lot of menu had sold out - we ordered at 8.45? Had a lovely walk on the Malvern hills - worth it for the views!

Tickeridge farm is an amazing cottage, beautifully decorated with a fantastic sized kitchen and cosy snug living room. And having two bathrooms upstairs felt completely decadent!
Surrounding by scenic countryside, Tickeridge Farm is the perfect escape from the city. We went for a hen weekend and it was just ideal for entertaining in the colder months. We also visited the local pub, which served delicious food. All in all it was a superb weekend and I couldn't recommend the location more.

We hired Tickeridge Farm for a weekend get together of friends. Dugald was really helpful and provided all the information we needed. The house itself was immaculate, the kitchen had everything you needed to cook, and it more than comfortably held us all. We all had a really lovely time and would definitely go back.

Wow! We have stayed in a lot of properties over the years and Tickeridge is right up there with the best. If you like a quiet location, a very well equipped house and plenty of space then this is the place for you. You really can get away from it all here.
There were 10 of us for the week (4 adults, 6 kids) and the farm didn't feel crowded at all. A big kitchen with a fantastic table that could easily suit all, lots of room outside & surrounding landscape for the kids to explore were highlights. We had several nights out in the garden (weather permitting).
The farm is in easy reach of the village with a good pub that does great food. Malvern is inly a few miles away as are other destinations such as Worcester & Pershore.
Very, very highly recommended, we were all sad to leave.

What a fantastic weekend, brilliant house especially the kitchen dining space theres even room to have a bit of a boogie, amazing grounds with horses in the field behind the massive garden, theres a great pub called the swan a walk away which is gorgeous food more like restaurant than pub. Also thers so many places nearby to visit like Upton upon seven which has lots of nice bars restaurants along the water and its only a 5-10 minute drive. I would love to thank Dugald for letting me my family and friends share this amazing place to have the best birthday ever THANKS.X

Tickeridge Farm is an ideal place for a family holiday. The property itself is great with spacious bedrooms and a brilliant kitchen which is very much the hub of the house with loads of room and a massive old table for the kids to spread all their stuff on. The kitchen also opens out onto the lovely back garden with great views and horses in the next field wandering up to be fed fruit from the apple and pear trees. The village at Hanley Swan was great too with a pub that does good food and provides a playground for the kids only a ten minute stroll from the house. All in all an ideal break in a beautiful part of the world.
