About this house rental
Situated on Bay View Road, a sought after road to live on, is our newly refurbished detached bungalow in an elevated position with panoramic views over Westward Ho! and Bideford Bay.
To the front of the bungalow we have a private driveway, big enough for four cars, a garden with good sized lawn and a patio with table & chairs to enjoy the sun during the day. There is a gate to secure children on the site. Our front door opens into the lobby with a wc, and leads to the open plan living area. In here you will find the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas all looking out to sea through the windows and large bi-fold doors framing the view and opening to the patio and lawn. The kitchen has the usual built in appliances, being a dishwasher, waste-disposal, fridge, microwave, electric oven & induction hob. We invite our guests to enjoy the Nespresso coffee machine supplied with a selection of coffees. The breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the dining table and chairs which is positioned to enjoy the view via a large floor to ceiling window. Beside this window are five bi-fold doors which can be fully opened to bring the outdoors into the lounge and enjoy the stunning view. They open out to a large patio area with table & chairs, and a barbecue with gas supplied. The patio is surrounded by lawns and garden. In the lounge we have a SMEG fire, a 42" tv with BT open view and fibre broadband, Sky, Blu-ray player, Playstation 3 and a bluetooth radio/music player which can play your music from your phone, iPad or computer. A selection of books, games, dvd's and playstation games are provided. A door from here leads into the three bedrooms and bathroom. All the bedrooms have built in wardrobes and tv's. The master bedroom has views out to sea and has a super-king size bed. It has an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The double bedroom has a king size bed and the third bedroom has two single beds. These are serviced by a family bathroom which contains a bath and shower. Towels and bedding are provided.
From the kitchen a door leads to the garage. This has been converted to a utility and storage area. In here we have a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge/freezer, iron & ironing board, and beach towels.
The bungalow has gas central heating. Underfloor heating in the living space and bathrooms, radiators in the bedrooms.
A cot can be provided on request.
Regret no smoking or dogs and not ideally suited for wheelchairs.

Booked this property last minute and what a find! We didn’t really look into westward ho itself before booking but the beach was absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing view of it from the main living area and master bedroom. We had some takeaways from there but didn’t spend much time down there. Perfect location for several attractions , especially the big sheep, which our (nearly) 4 year old loved. Parking was great and we felt safe being able to shut the gate. Small park about a 5 minute walk away to kill some time while everyone is getting ready. We used the washer and drier both very easy to use. Beds were all very comfy, whole house was spotless and had a lovely feel to it. Will definitely come back when we revisit the are!

Just returned from our stay in this beautiful property and we were honestly sad to leave. You get the wow factor as soon as you step through the door (the immediate view of Pebble Ridge is stunning). The property is of a very high standard and offers everything you could need and more. Communication with the owners was very easy, they told us everything we needed to know but were happy to be contacted if necessary. This is not just a place to sleep but a huge part of the holiday experience. Wonderful.

This property is STUNNING! Everything about it is immaculate, both inside and out, and the view over the bay from the living area is to die for!
We were staying in Northam for our son's wedding and the spacious, well laid out, accommodation made it really easy for everyone to get ready on the big day.
For us, having such a lovely place to stay for such a special occasion was the icing on the (wedding) cake!

The property is absolutely stunning and has everything you could want, including the most comfortable sofa in the world!
The weather wasn’t great but we did manage to get out and about on a coastal walk in Croyde that was lovely.
Only downside was that it’s not easily accessible to walking routes without a car (very hilly!) but only a minor thing.
Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Communication with the property manager was really quick and friendly.

Very tastefully decorated and well equipped property. The town below has a selection of pubs and eateries (only walkable for the really dedicated) but there is ample parking available. Everyone we met was very friendly, just wish we got to stay longer.

Although the weather was wet it was a pleasure to stay dry in the bungalow admiring the panoramic view of the bay.
The bungalow was extremely clean and comfortable with quality fittings. The location is ideally suited for exploring North Devon. I highly recommended the bungalow and would not hesitate to return for another wonderful week.

We had yet another great holiday in a fabulous, modern, clean, well equipped bungalow. The view of the bay does not disappoint and sitting in the garden enabled us all to chill out. Everybody from toddlers to oldies enjoyed themselves - so much so - we’ll be back again next year!

The property certainly has the wow factor as soon as you open the door and see the vista of the bay through the bi- fold doors. Everything in the bungalow was high quality and well catered for. The hosts were really easy to deal with and communicated well and arrived within 5 minutes of notification of a fuse tripping. The only issue we encountered was that some of the bedding felt a bit damp. This was perhaps due to the proximity of the sea and the unseasonably damp weather of late. This was only a very minor issue and we didn't feel it necessary to trouble our hosts with it. Overall, we all had a fabulous time at the bungalow and hope to rebook again one day.

This property has almost everything you could want on holiday, even if it's raining. A drive you can turn on, showers that are great, nice and powerful. Stunning views, Sky TV in every room. Good cooking facilities love the oven (I want one like this). Well catered for, enough dishwasher tablets to last the week, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, a bottle of milk, fresh flowers on the table, and so on.
It is actually hard to find any real faults, the only minor bugbears are having to strip the beds yourself and the internet kept going off, which caused the sky to crash until the internet came back on.
All in all very good and highly recommended.

Lovely house with large living room for a toldler to stretch her legs in. Glass wall gives a magnificent view across the bay. Overall a very clean and modern house, hosts that were very helpful and amenities that made the whole experience feel like home. Would definitely recommend.

Upon opening the front door the first thing you see is the view of the fantastic coast. Beautiful bungalow refurbished to a very high standard. Claire the host was very helpful the first day when we were too dim to work the hob.Short walk downhill to local bars and restaurants. Hartland Quay was well worth the £3 to use the private road down to a shop and pub with dramatic coastline. We were lucky to have a sunny week and for this reason the patio would benefit from more comfortable seating and patio umbrella plus heavier bedrm curtains as it was like daylight at 5am. Also no bedrm mirror with a nearby socket for hair drying. Having said that our stay was very enjoyable and would definitely return.

This was probably one of the best holiday homes we’ve stayed in. The view when you open the front door is breathtaking. The house is immaculately presented with every amenity you’d need. We were devastated to be leaving as we felt very much at home there.

Myself, my wife and two friends spent 5 days at this property in early April to celebrate a special birthday. Firstly the house itself is amazing, furnished to a very high specification with the most incredible view from the back garden. In a quiet part of town but all amenities within the town and surrounding areas are easily accessible. Claire was very helpful with helping us find a reliable local taxi service and the entry/exit process was flawless. We had a great time and can't wait to return to this incredible property. What a brilliant place to stay! It's excellent! Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the view of the beach is so beautiful. Modern and spacious with a lovely terrace to sit out and watch the sea. The bathroom and ensuite are very smart and the main living area feels luxurious with a very comfy sofa, a large TV and a coffee maker. I would recommend it without any hesitation and would return in an instant for another relaxing holiday.

We absolutely loved this bungalow, clean and warm. the view is beautiful and there is everything that you need.
Only downside for us was the hill going into Westwood Ho! but that is nothing to do with this fabulous place.
Owners were great too, replying to texts quickly when we could not work things out!!!!

Great location. Having to contact VACASA for each problem isn't as smooth as going directly to an owner, and some things didn't get addressed. House layout worked well for our family, and we enjoyed the hot tub. Bad on my part for not realizing the fees are actually more than the rent of the house. And we paid to have the pool heated, their definition of heated and ours is different, we couldn’t use the pool. Directions to use the tv is missing and after we figured it out seems odd that you have to add your google account to the tv (per tv)…was not a great experience.

Most impressed with this property. Warm, comfortable and cosy with high end fixtures and fittings and beautifully presented. The kitchen equipment was also top of the range and the TV system put mine at home to shame! We had a great five day break in spite of the horrible November weather - when it rained we still had that wonderful view of the bay. It must be fabulous in summer out on the patio.

This was our second visit and did not disappoint. The bungalow is spacious, modern and well fitted out, with TV's in the living room and all bedrooms, and good WiFi access. It has bi-fold doors along one side of the living room, giving a panoramic view of Westward Ho, the bay and river estuary. Underfloor heating in shared area, with radiators in the bedrooms, so was always warm. Nice garden areas at front and back, with plenty of off-road parking. Would thoroughly recommend it.
