We enjoyed a wonderful week in Kalkan. The villa was perfect for our needs. We had a slight hiccup on arrival which was promptly sorted by the owner.
The bedrooms were well sized and spotless.
The kitchen is stocked with all you need, and there's a shop a minutes walk away.
The main area is a 15 min walk down hill, would recommend a taxi home which is very easy to arrange on only costs a couple of quid.

The property has everything that is needed for a comfortable vacation. One of the 3 bedrooms is at the top floor with a slanted ceiling, smaller compared to others and it is hot but all the rooms have AC so it is manageable.
Kitchen is fully equipped.
It was nice to pick lemon from the tree which had great smell and taste.
The pool is clean and deep enough for a comfortable swim.
Beach is 3-4 minutes away by car -- walking is not an option especially during Summer season, it will be very difficult to walk back.
There is a mini market at 1 minute walking distance.

This is a great villa if you are looking to visit Kalkan. Spacious, very well laid out and spotlessly clean. The pool and terrace area are beautiful with good quality comfortable sun beds a plenty. You can walk into the hustle and bustle easily in 10 to 15 minutes but a longer, more strenuous (uphill) journey if you walk back. We used the local busses a few times for outings, which was inexpensive and convenient. I would definitely recommend this villa. Thank you Stephen and Rachel for being great, very helpful hosts.

Lovely Vila lovely owners, great communication and very accommodating.
Vila very close to Kalkan town with great amenities and lovely pool, very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing two weeks on the sunshine

Brilliant from start to finish . Stephen the property owner was so helpful before the holiday - sorting out booking problems with Vrbo as well as recommending a local taxi driver for our excursions . The villa is great so much room for myself my husband and two sons (20. /23 ) lovely pool and outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the sunshine . We ate out every night - spoilt for choice and spent in general £100 per evening for the 4 of us to eat including a few rounds of drinks . Steep walk to the old town and harbour from the villa but doable both night and day . Taxi back recommended for a few pounds. 10 minute walk to main supermarket for daily provisions .
Thanks for the use of your beautiful villa . We couldn’t have had a better fortnight. Thrown in as an extra ….. a holiday cat that my sons named sneakbo” but I think is actually called meti. We didn’t let her into the villa but she waited outside for us each day . Don’t forget to feed her. She likes whiskers x

What an enchanting place Kalkan is, coupled with the most beautifully appointed Villa Calkrisand pool made our holiday all the more special. Out hosts Stephen and Rachel even ensured our arrival was hassle free by providing a complementary welcome pack packed with all your 1st couple of days essentials.
We were also, warmly welcomed by Gareth the Villa's maintenance manager who was a fountain of local expert knowledge of the area. Along with the fabulous Ilkur who who ensured the pool and gardens were beautifully maintained during our stay.
The villa itself was immaculate with lots of lovely little touches: spare pairs of reading glasses, a great selection of DVD's a little book library, board games and information pack ~ everything you would need to make the lost out of your stay.
We were even treated to a daily visit by the resident tortoise whom we named Gary :)
Kalkan itself is rather special too, with its splendid array of restaurants and shops all serviced beautifully and noticeably without the usual hassle you might endure elsewhere in Turkey...
Would we stay at Villa Calkris again - without hesitation, we loved it!

It was great to wind down at Stephen and Rachel's place. Communication with the property manager Gareth was smooth. The pool and the outside area was cleaned daily. For 5 os us we thought it is a very spacious villa. Location is great. A bit hilly when coming back from town centre but a taxi ride is 60 turkish liras which is cheap. However I'd suggest hiring a car to fully enjoy the neighbouring destinations. Overall, I'd highly recommend Calkris.

We had a fantastic 2 week holiday, relaxing & plenty of sunshine. The villa was lovely, clean & had all the essentials you needed. The pool was fantastic. Good size & depth. The town of Kalkan is great. Plenty of good resturants & bars to choose from. Although the walk into Kalkan is ok i would advise a taxi back as its a pretty steep incline back. Taxi's are cheap £3.00. The cleaner (a neighbour), came every morning to clean around the pool & test it. She also, after the first week came & cleaned the villa, changed bed linen & towells. We didn't have much luck with correspondence with the villa manager who also lived nearby, but upon leaving we saw him to hand over the keys & found that he had been in hospital for a week so it couldn't be helped. All in all an excellent holiday & the owners Stephen & Rachel were excellent with answering my questions before hand.

Villa Calkris has an air of quality and carefully thought out provision that makes a stay delightful. The pool is deep and crystal clear, all the furniture is deliciously comfortable - each terrace affords wonderful dining and drinking spaces- breakfast in the middle terrace- cocktails on the roof. A short trundle into town( there is a new restaurant just opened in street just down from the villa. ! 2 mins walk). The kitchen was perfect, the fridge was cold and we cheekily used a lemon from the tree to garnish our drinks. Thank you so much. It was a privelage and a pleasure.
Ps- the info packs and directions etc were really useful. We will be back.

We had a lovely stay weather was great few problems at the villa a mosquito door screen fell on us while eating dinner it had been wedged up with a large stone, no light outside front door making it very hard to unlock door, we never got the TV to work not even to watch dvds, we did ask Gareth but he seems to have more than enough problems with his bad arm and I assume he likes a drink as he always smelled of it even in the morning , the pool eara was kept beautiful by the nice lady , and I know it can't be helped but dogs barked constantly all night keeping us awake most of the time, but we loved the town and will return to kalkan xxx

What a fabulous villa. Wonderfully clean and very impressed with the pool area being cleaned early every day. The view from the roof terrace was beautiful. Only downside was the hill back from town, but a taxi was only £2.50 .

Amazing holiday
Just returned from a 2 week stay in Villa Calkris.
Were to start , everything perfect from start to finish , definitely a holiday to remember.
This was our first visit to Kalkan and this villa and it will not be our last ,we have found a little gem in this place.
Couldn't have asked for more from the communication from the owners Stephen and Rachel ,very helpful and advised us on the best restaurants and trips.Gareth who met us there was a lovely Gentleman and nice to talk to .
The villa is very clean ,tidy ,well looked after , spacious with a home from home feel in a fantastic location ,it took us about 15 minutes to walk into the centre of Kalkan ,it was very hot while there so most days we got a taxi very easy ,it took a few minutes and is worth the 50TL (£2.50) Kalkan is truly beautiful with so many beautiful restaurants, bars ,cafes ,shops with amazing views ,a boat trip and beach club are a must .
If you are looking for a lovely villa look no further .We cannot wait to return.

Perfect Kalkan villa
It’s very nice place in Kalkan, cosy and comfort with all needed facilities. Thanks property owner Gareth, he’s very welcome and ready to help in any situation. Car strongly recommended.

Wonderful villa with great view
We had an amazing stay and would recommend this villa to anyone who wants to visit this lovely part of Turkey.
Only reason for 4 stars on accuracy of online listing was that due to COVID the property had been empty for a while so a number of things needed repairing while we were there. Not a major inconvenience and the property manager took ownership and solved all issues fast and efficiently.

Excellent Kalkan Villa
Villa Calkris is very clean ,spacious and well maintained. It is an attractive building with plenty of colourful plants and shrubs surrounding it. Equipment levels both inside and outside are very good and of a high quality. We (2 OAPs) particularly enjoyed the outdoor, covered eating area .There is ample space around a very good sized pool with 6 sun loungers and plenty of shade if required. Access to the town with its shops, many excellent restaurants, beach and beach clubs is easy as taxis are plentiful and cheap-it is feasible to walk into town but given the heat and steepness
I would suggest a 4 wheeled return. For flexibility we hired a car.
The owners-Stephen and Rachel-were extremely easy to deal with in the booking process and invariably sent prompt replies to any enquiries. The local contact-Gareth-was on hand to greet us when we arrived and was an excellent source of help and information.
We had a most enjoyable stay at Villa Calkris and would be more than happy to return.

What a find!
We loved everything about our holiday in Villa Calkris - so much so that we are seriously considering a return trip next year! The villa was spotlessly clean on arrival, and thoroughly cleaned again half way through our two week stay - the pool area was cleaned on a daily basis too. The facilities at the villa were excellent - the pool area was very spacious, with comfortable good quality loungers and sunshades, and the pool itself was great. The roof terrace was a real highlight - especially in the evening when there was often a welcome breeze. The views were amazing too. The road up to the villa is very steep but we had no problem walking into town every evening and a taxi back only cost about £3 straight to the door, with taxis readily available from the town/harbour. The local property manager, Gareth, was a great help - we felt very well looked after by him. We enjoyed everything about Kalkan and we found that nearly everyone we met had been there numerous times - and we can quite understand why! We had great fun on the Jeep Safari trip that we took to Saklikent gorge and the river rafting there was fantastic. Patara beach is well worth a visit, and a boat trip on one of the many boats from the harbour is a ‘must’. We tried out a couple of the beach clubs, which our teenage sons really enjoyed (especially the water sports!) and there is an abundance of excellent restaurants and bars in town - spoilt for choice in fact! What a fantastic place for a holiday - we would highly recommend it.

Wonderful villa in an amazing place.
The only bad part of this holiday was leaving. This villa is the best we have ever stayed in. The hammock and really comfy six sun beds helped the feeling of pure luxury. The villa is spotless, the pool area cleaned everyday, the drinking water fountain a lovely addition.
A good size fridge and freezer in a well equipped kitchen.
We are a family of five , we had lots of room and loved sitting on all the different balconies at different times of the day.
You can have sun or shade at the pool area.
We did not hire a car as you can reach everywhere on foot ( unless mobility is a problem as the villa is on a hill) when we managed to drag ourselves away from the lovely villa , it’s a ten minute walk to the bay. ( we got a taxi back each night 15tl - £2.10 ) easily done and seems to be the done thing.
We loved exploring the beautiful old town , the quality of restaurants is extremely high, we still have plenty that we would like to try.
The beach clubs were popular with our children age 10,12,14 Kalkan beach club being there favourite as it has a slide into the sea a floating trampoline and canoes you can all use for free. You get a free boat taxi from the harbour, you just need to purchase food and drink when there ( the iced coffees were amazing )
We had the added bonus of seeing a sea turtle when snorkelling which was really special.
We also did a boat trip on the wonderful sea bellla and a Jeep safari to the gorge , after the trips we loved getting back to villa in its tranquil setting and enjoying a G and T on one of its many balconies.
The family has all agreed this has been our best holiday so far . Thank you for having us in your villa. We will be back .

Fantastic
Wow, we enjoyed our first visit to Turkey staying in this fantastic villa. The booking process was very easy and both Stephen and Rachel provided us with lots of helpful information.
The villa was equipped to a high standard and was very comfortable. There were lots of comfortable sitting areas both inside and outside. The pool was fantastic and used every day
We were looked after so well by Gareth and the maid whilst we there, nothing was too much trouble

Tranquil Villa - Bustling Town
The Villa Calkris is nestled amongst a myriad of other dwellings all clinging to the mountainside, facing towards the inviting bay below, despite its close proximity to it’s neighbours the layout of the property affords privacy and quietude with relaxation almost demanded.
The Villa itself gives a satisfactory lived in feel, a home from home with the added plus of a good size swimming pool and stunning location. Each of the three floors adds to the feeling of belonging, the first floor hosts a good size and well fitted out kitchen along with a comfortable sitting room stacked with books and DVDs should respite be required from the blazing sun. The second floor has two good size en suite bedrooms, both leading out to a balcony area with table and chairs suited to easing yourself from the night’s slumber to a day’s activity/lack of activity and finally the third floor offers a small utility/bedroom, a bumped head is a possibility with the sloping roof, but this is more than made up for when going through a small insignificant door which opens up to a roof top terrace offering sumptuous views of both sea and mountainside, the seating area offering comfort whilst being overwhelmed by an essence of tranquillity.
The fifteen minute walk to town is easily negotiated, though caution is recommended walking down paths of indeterminate gradient until you reach the carriageway which is negotiated by a pedestrian bridge, the closer you get towards the centre of town the busier it becomes, and it is then you start to get the flavour of Kalkan. Crossing the road can be a hazard as the yellow taxis compete with other no less determined road users to squeeze through impossible gaps to edge towards their desired destination, this does however improve as soon as you start to wend your way through the narrow streets of the Old Town sloping down to the harbour and beach as these are largely pedestrianised. The stroll down is met with countless invitations to eat and drink in bars and restaurants as well as plenty of opportunities to haggle in shops for gifts. In the daytime this is exciting at night positively enticing.
Just a snapshot of a holiday with much omitted, though hopefully a glimpse of two extremely agreeable contrasts which welcome recommendation.

This is our second visit to the beautiful Villa Calkris this summer as we just can't keep away! On arrival we were actually greeted by owners Rachel and Stephen who are an incredibly welcoming couple. They had thoughtfully supplied us with bread, eggs, tea/coffee etc to last us until we could get to the supermarket. The villa has such a homely feel and is furnished so authentically that it is becoming a home from home for us. Kalkan is such a special place full of vibrant and fantastic shops and restaurants, the locals are always friendly. We won't be booking a holiday elsewhere for quite some time I'm sure! Thanks again for a much needed blissful escape from our hectic lives in London!!

Magical!
Staying at Villa Calkris was a total dream! This was my second time back and i wish i was there now. We stayed there for a week in May to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. The weather was incredible and the house is just perfect. It's an incredibly relaxing place to stay with the fantastic pool and the stunning panoramic views over Kalkan bay from the balconies. It's really close to the beach and the town where there are loads of brilliant restaurants, bars, shops etc.
Kalkan is a magical part of the world that I will always have a special place in my heart for and will always return to.
Villa Calkris is just a magical place to stay and Rachel and Stephen are the best hosts you could hope for.

Little Piece of Paradise
This villa really is outstanding, we arrived late at night with two very tired children to find fresh bread, milk, eggs, homemade Jam & Marmalade along with Tea & coffee. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you would expect to find at home, everything was clean and well maintained. The lounge area also has everything you need although to be honest we didn't spend much time inside as the pool area is so impressive and has full sun all day when the sun does begin to fade we would all head up to the roof terrace which again is pretty breath taking. Also worth mentioning is the BBQ situated in the pool area which is a great size and excellent for cooking on we used it at least five times during a two week stay. The bedrooms and en suites are all nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, the balcony off these rooms is a lovely place to read in the early morning sun. The location of the Villa was great for us, having visited Kalkan a few times before we did wonder if it was a bit far out this is not the case! It's about 15 mins walk into town and its a nice walk, we did tend to use a taxi back as its quite steep on the way back up but at around £2.00 for the fare this really isn't an issue. Stephen and Rachel were really responsive to any queries I had before we travelled and also kept in touch with other info they thought we might need to know. Also have to mention Gavin who meets and greets and is around if you need anything during your stay he's really great and nothing is to much trouble. We are already planning on returning.

A great villa with all you need to make the most of your holiday. Really clean and well equipped. Close enough to walk to the town, however a taxi is the best way to get back and these are really cheap around £2.50. The pool area was cleaned everyday so it was always tidy and welcoming , Gareth who looks after you whilst you are there is great, no query to much trouble, The welcome pack when you arrive is a lovely touch as you can have a drink and a bite to eat before going off to explore.

Wonderful villa with all we needed
Our second time to Kalkan, previously staying in Islamlar, but this year we wanted to be a bit closer to town. The photos and written description of the property was very accurate and before making the booking, spoke with Stephen over WhatsApp to clarify a few points. Stephen's arrangements were great for our late arrival and Gareth was available to meet us at 1am to show us around the villa.
The villa is in a quiet part of Kalkan, a little away from the centre. We had rented a car which made going back and forth into the village much easier. Our teenage children were able to walk into town and get a taxi ride back up the hill quite inexpensively.
Stephen & Rachel have lived in the area for quite some time so were able to make some good recommendations, particularly for a relaxing boat trip with a friendly captain. Gareth was on hand if we needed any help.
We had a great two weeks and just wished it was longer.

Stunning villa in Kalkan
I'd never visited Turkey before so was delighted when an opportunity came up last year for a trip. We flew into Dalaman and then had an easy drive to Kalkan where we stayed at Villa Calkris.
We received excellent instructions on how to get to the Villa and were so impressed that Gareth stayed awake into the early hours to welcome us. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
The listing description for the house is entirely accurate and we loved the position of the villa in the town; not slap bang in the centre with all the accompanying noise and hustle, but close enough to stroll in. The villa is located in a quiet street.
The rooms are all nicely appointed, and the ground floor is very comfortable. There is a beautiful dining area on the veranda where we spent many a happy breakfast/lunch/supper sipping chilled wine and enjoying the private pool. The kitchen had everything and more that we needed. The bedrooms are large and airy and everything was super clean. The top floor has another twin bedded room with a terrace off which looks out to the sea.
Kalkan itself is vibrant with loads of places to eat and no matter what your preference and budget you will find that there is something for you. The town beach was great and we found a brilliant café overlooking the bay where we could eat breakfast looking out at the crystal clear waters. We particularly liked the beach clubs and couldn't believe that you didn't have to pay to enjoy such comfortable and spectacular locations. The food was always great in these places, no matter where you went.
We also particularly liked Kas and visited more than a couple of times; the drive is stunning.
All in all, we enjoyed everything, the villa, distance from airport, towns, sights, food, drink and the people.
I'd return in a heartbeat!

Beautiful
We have now stayed at Villa Calkris twice over the past years, with each visit a fantastic and memorable one. The owners Stephen and Rachel couldn't have been more helpful, with an abundance of local knowledge of things to and see. The villa is situated in the picturesque town of Kalkan, just a short walk to the beach and a vast number of brilliant (and reasonably priced!) restaurants, bars and shops.
For when you need a break from the bustling town, the villa itself has everything you need, and more. With a fully equipped and spacious kitchen and lounge, it really felt like a 'home away from home'. The rooms were large and comfortable, beautifully decorated and spotless when we arrived. The pool area is lovely, and multiple roof terraces have incredible sea views, both with comfy loungers great for relaxing in the sun.
All in all, the positive things about our stay here were endless! If you want a holiday to remember, then I can't recommend this villa enough. Thank you Stephen and Rachel, we will definitely be back soon!

A perfect stay in every way possible!!
We had a fantastic stay at Villa Calkris and loved Kalkan. The panoramic views from the villa right around the bay and of the mountains behind are really breathtaking. This is sepical place! We were glad of the peaceful situation especially at night when the old town started to buzz, but we were still within a stroll of everything - Thursday market only 5 mins away. The villa is really well equipped and well presented - they have thought of everything -and the finishing touches Rachel and Stephen have created have really made it a very special place for stay. We felt immediately at home and thoroughly spoilt! The balconies are all well furnished and there is tons of space - the roof terrace is a particularly amazing space, well equipped for chilling and star gazing! and the huge pool terrace and surrounding gorgeous mature gardens give it such a lush feeling. We would definitely recommend this villa if you are wanting peace, quality and charm - Villa Calkris has it all! Thank you again! We will be back...

Beautiful villa in a beautiful town
This was our second stay in Villa Calkris and I am sure we will be returning!
The villa itself is stunning, with a beautiful pool area (for when even the short walk to the sea seems like too much effort), spacious balconies with sun loungers and wonderful views of the coastline.
The owners were extremely accommodating, providing plenty of information about local amenities and things to do.
Even this late in the season the weather was still beautiful, with the added benefit that the normally bustling town centre in Kalkan, only 15 minutes walk away from the villa, was serenely quiet.
Kalkan offered a wide variety of restaurants and bars, predominantly very reasonably priced, as well as lots of activities. On each of our stays we spent a day on a boat owned by one of the locals, travelling around the coast, stopping for a swim every now and then, as well as having a delicious meal cooked on board for us.
It was an utterly serene week, and as I look outside and see a typical 'great British summer', I wish that we were back there already.

Beautiful Villa!!
We had a really great holiday staying at this beautiful villa. Situated just above the centre of town, it has amazing views over kalkan bay, especially from the lovely roof terrace where we watched the sunset with a nice glass of wine! The villa also has a beautifully kept garden surrounding the pool area, where we spent most days lounging by the pool. Inside it is very tastefully furnished, with an authentic Turkish feel. And the kitchen is really well equipped for cooking. The hosts made us feel really welcome and were very knowledgable about the local area. We had such a great time (and amazing weather!) and will definitely be rebooking this villa for next year!!

Absolutely Fantastic Villa
We had a fantastic holiday in Kalkan. The villa is superb with everything you need. The pool, gardens & furniture are 1st class, with a shaded table to relax & have lunch. Great location with amazing views especially from the roof top patio where you can relax & have a drink in the evenings.
Stephen was very helpfully, arranged the transfers & Gareth looked after us during our stay.

Wonderful getaway
We had a wonderful stay at Rachel and Stephen's place in the charming town of Kalkan. The villa was everything we could have asked for, with a lovely pool and great roof terrace for relaxing in the evening. Rachel and Stephen couldn't have been more accommodating, allowing us to spend a couple of days in their idyllic mountain rental property, a short drive from Kalkan! I would highly recommend a stay in either/both!

Amazing Villa!
What a fantastic stay in Villa Calkris. This has got to be the best villa we have stayed in. Stephen and Rachel emailed some great instructions and directions to the villa and on arrival we were welcomed by Gareth who showed us around the villa. We were left some basics i.e. teabags milk, juice, bread etc, which was a godsend, as we had arrived at one in the morning. We were looked after by Gareth during our stay and he couldn't have been more helpful, checking everything was okay each day, giving advice and helping us hire some bikes.
The two double en-suite bedrooms were perfect with lots of hanging space, with plenty of hangers, drawers and dressing tables. The wooden, cushioned sunbeds were so comfortable and the rooftop terrace overlooking Kalkan was amazing, we couldn't fault the villa!
Our boat trip, on Eylul boat, recommended by Stephen and Rachel, was a fantastic day out. Although the walk into town was a bit steep a taxi back only cost about £2!!! After a 15 minute walk we had some lovely meals in a few of the restaurants. We ate at Baharat Restaurant twice, overlooking the sea on the rooftop terrace.
I've already recommended Villa Calkris to a number of friends and would love to stay there again in the future. Thank you Stephen and Rachel for a wonderful stay in your villa. Yvette, Paul, Michelle and David

Beautiful villa with stunning views & great price!
We had a fantastic family holiday in Kalkan staying at Villa Calkris. The villa is great with three good sized rooms (attic room has pretty low ceiling- was fine for us, but just to flag). Beautiful views across Kalkan from each balcony. Pool area fantastic with lots of sun! Stephen and Rachel were so helpful before we came to stay, providing us with lots of useful information about the surrounding area. Takes about 15-20mins to walk in to town, but very easy to hop in a taxi on the way back. All-in-all would recommend this villa for a relaxed holiday in beautiful Kalkan!
