We really enjoyed staying here. Really cosy and comfortable apartment. Enough space for 6 adults, good beds and a complete kitchen. Some minor things to improve to which the owners responded quickly they would take action on

La Cabine - 27/1/24 - 3/2/24
This was our first time using La Cabine and what a great week we had. The chalet is comfy, cozy and very homely. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of cutlery, plates, pans etc you will not go short of anything. A real bonus is that the chalet has two baths so remember to pack your Epsom Salts to sooth away any aches after a great days skiing. The lounge is very comfy with a corner suite, perfect for crashing out on when you arrive back at the chalet.
It is ideally situated just down from Plagne 1800 ( 5 minutes ) or just up from La Roche ( again 5 minutes ). La Roche has a very large FREE car park and lift which will take you straight to the heart of your days skiing, it also has a lovely bar/restaurant. There is a free shuttle bus which runs every hour to take you up/down the mountain but we used our car for that extra bit of flexability and made full use of the free car park at La Roche to start and finish our day.
We would highly recommend La Cabine and are looking forward to booking again.
Definitely five stars. Thank you Helen and Ben

A spacious and modern apartment with great views. Absolutely as described and advertised. Would definitely stay again.

A nice property, exactly as described. You could set your clock by the bus arrival.

Good kitchen and excellent utensils, pans, and sharp cutlery.
I prefer a firm mattress, and though I usually sleep 4-5 hours, found I slept for 6-7 on softer mattress.
Make sure you have snow chains to get up to back of accommodation or you will have many flights of stairs to climb from the lower garage access. No "in resort" assistance but owner did try to resolve issue with no wifi with Orange (French provider in apartment) from the UK. Sadly we probably got 80 minutes of wifi across the week; not great when you teenage girls and poor mobile reception. Buses 1 per hour in either direction, so will need a car to make most of location.

Very nice and cosy apartment!
Dear Helen and Ben,
We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful and cosy apartment in the chalet with a nice large balcony. It was a fantastic stay. Just one remark: the stappled single beds could be better. A great apartment with all comfort. Thanks so much for the fantastic stay!

Pretty and well-kept apartment, nothing was missing from our stay: from the well-appointed rooms to the spacious and comfortable living room with a magnificent view of the forest on which Mont Blanc soared.
Congratulations to Helen for the taste and style with which she has furnished the house.

Lovely chalet, a great situe and fabulous view
We were 5 adults all who have skied La Plagne many times but always stayed slope side. The chalet was a gem of a find for us. It had everything we needed and more. We hired a van to move us around which was perfect. As it was late March and the snow was thinning around the chalet we didn't use the ski in ski out but this would have been a great thing to do if we had been there earlier in the season.
Our evenings were spent playing cards and chatting about the day around the cosy kitchen table and lounging on the lovely big couch with a G&T. Water was hot and plentiful, beds comfy (softer than home but comfy none the less) We didn't use the boot room as we left the skis in the van (very safe) and bought the boots in to dry on the trays provided.
Buy food on the way to La Plagne as the shops and choice is expensive and limited. Don't forget the loo roll!
Food on the hill, as expected is expensive, we took sandwiches and biscuits which got us through to the beer at 5pm (about 30euros for 5 beers) Food in the chalet, we were organised and brought it all with us from the supermarket for the week. We just topped up with fresh bread from the patisserie each day.
Communication with Helen was great. We didn't need Kate's services except to tell her when we would be arriving and leaving so I am unable to comment on this. I think she would have been a great bonus if we hadn't had our own kit. I do suggest you get the lift passes from Kate. We had a disabled person with us so had to take him and his disability paperwork to the lift pass office. This wasn't the easiest place to find and we had to ride a lift to get there so if you don't need to go to the office yourself get Kate to help you out.
We skied Les Arcs one day, first lift up last lift back, epic day and can be done once with your lift pass.
The bus stop is a few minutes from the chalet. The buses aren't regular but are on time (in March anyway - this may be different at different times of the season) We used it twice for nights out. Once to La Plagne Centre for fondue (can't recall the restaurant name but on the corner opposite Croque Niege) and once to 1800 for Pizza & Tartiflette at The White Wolf - delicious food both times and next time we are having the Raclette!
All in all a brilliant week for us. Blue skies, sunshine, good conditions, great chalet and fantastic view morning and evening. Would definitely recommend and would return for sure.

Perfect ski chalet
Loved this chalet. We stayed Feb half term and it was perfect for our family. It was a real plus to have two bathrooms. The chalet was beautifully clean and the beds the comfiest holiday beds we have ever slept on. The kitchen had everything you could need. The kitchen and living room were really nicely laid out. It was a very sociable space. In the evenings we watched some dvds together which never happens at home. We had a great family holiday. The ski bus takes less than 10 minutes to get into the main ski area. The only downside for us was the bus was only once an hour. This meant you had to be really organised otherwise wait for the next bus. We would recommend storing your skis overnight at Oxygene as it saved a lot of hassle taking skis on the bus. Oxygene were super helpful. We had a couple of private lessons with them. We will definitely return.

Spotless, comfortable, stunning views
La Cabine is a modern, spotlessly clean apartment, beautifully situated with ever-changing views of Mont Blanc and within very easy reach of the many ski slopes in the area. The apartment has been furnished and equipped with a careful eye to cater for all age groups and requirements. Much thought has been given as to where to store/dry wet ski suits, where to safely store skis etc. The modern kitchen is well planned and easy for self-catering and the slow cooker was a godsend. The bedrooms are very well equipped with high quality linens. There is a never-ending supply of hot water from the modern and well appointed bathrooms.
Don't be fooled into thinking this is a destination purely for skiers. We arrived in early September with the temperature in the mid 70's and our holiday was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our lazy, sunny breakfasts on the balcony watching the scenery change by the minute. We can recommend trips out to places such as Sangot Lake with its FOC leisure activities and the white water river alongside, ideal for rafting! Take a drive to Chapieux a Glaciers (where for us, right on cue, a goatherd was bringing his flock down from the mountains, a lovely sight and sound with the neck bells ringing loudly). Take a white-knuckle ride through the mountain passes and across the dam at Barrage de Roselend with its huge lake.
Needless to say for the energetic skiers among us the area has fantastic ski runs for daytime activities and later into the evening apres ski there are bars, restaurants, swimming pools aplenty to suit all ages and tastes. The valley villages also have very good shopping facilities and bars and restaurants where you can while away some time sitting in the sunshine and enjoying the atmosphere.
On our return trip to Geneva airport we passed through and had a picnic in Annecey, with its huge blue lake and seaside feel, a worthwhile visit if you have time.
Please don't miss out on this versatile and wonderful holiday destination.

Wonderful week at La Cabine
We are a family of five (2 adults and 3 kids aged 8-14) and have just had a fantastic week staying at La Cabine which is just below Plagne 1800. The chalet is extremely comfortable and very well laid out with beautiful views of the mountains across the valley. We drove to the chalet and brought some food with us however there is there is a well stocked Spar convenience store in Plagne 1800 and also Plagne Centre. As previously reviews have mentioned, it is not really practical to walk up to Plagne 1800 (especially if carrying ski gear) although there is an hourly free bus service from the chalet up to Plagne 1800 and Plagne Centre. The snow was fantastic during our stay

Fantastic apartment
The apartment was fantastic, spacious and warm with beautiful views; well equipped kitchen and very good sized bathrooms in a quiet location. The free bus service that stopped at Crete Cote at the bottom of the road up to the apartment block ran to time and wasn’t too crowded whilst we were there late (January early February). The path that can be skied down in the morning to get to La Roche slope starts from behind the stop sign next to the bus stop. We didn’t manage to locate the option to ski back to the apartment but found skiing down to La Roche chair and walking up to the bus stop (a couple of mins) then catching the bus up to Crete Cote the most straight forward way to get home.

Home from Home
This was our second visit to La Cabine , we first came in January 2017. It was great to be back and felt like coming home. Everything is very comfortable and welcoming. We thought the snow conditions last year were good but this year there was even more snow, not quite so much sun although we did see some. This really is a great resort for all levels of skiing and even though we lost one day skiing due to blizzard conditions we were able to make the most of our holiday and that day snuggled into La Cabine with board games and DVD's to watch. We did take some of these with us but there are a good selection of both already at La Cabine. Is there anything that these owners have not thought of to make the experience staying at La Cabine more comfortable - we can't think of anything!
Whilst there may have been blizzard conditions, the snow ploughs were out and kept the roads clear even clearing snow each day on the access from the main road up to La Cabine. The ski shuttle buses that run every hour continued to run all week and generally on time.
A mention also for the boot/ ski hire, Sport 2000 in Plagne Centre that was recommended by the owners ( see discount vouchers in La Cabine). They were extremely helpful and looked after us very well, we used them last year too. This year they have an English girl working with them, she was a great help as she speaks fluent French as well as English and was a good addition to their team. That having been said the whole team are very accommodating.
La Cabine is so well equipped that we like to eat in some of the evenings and it is easy to prepare a meal as everything is there, the slow cooker is a great idea. We just pick up provisions on our way back from skiing from one of the many shops in Plagne Centre.
For Apres Ski we like to visit Christof and his wife in L'Avalanche Bar for a vin chaud, beer or hot chocolate and on our last evening we also returned to eat there. Super meal of steak and chicken cooked on 'hot stones' with all the trimmings, delicious, great deserts too.
Anyway, back to La Cabine and a great big thank you to the Killners for letting us share their property, we look forward to being back there soon.

Well appointed , well managed chalet
This is a great value chalet which is close to all amenities. We spent New Year there as 2 adults and 4 older teenagers.
Whilst not easily ski in/out - if you are an able skier then a short narrow track down to the bottom of the red run to the La Roche ski lift does massively ease your entry to the slopes in the morning.
Whilst skiing back is a leap of faith down a track from a car park at the back of La PLagne 1800.
Taking the bus is far less stressful, if not as convenient as they are currently scheduled every hour.
Having said that the storage "cave" for ski equipment was good - the owners have conceded airing out the ski boots and equipment in/around the chalet by providing some drip trays for you to use.
The accommodation was fine for the six of us. Beds were very comfortable and the two bathrooms didn't run out of hot water - remember to set the hot water again before you leave in the morning.
We couldn't have asked for more catering equipment. The cooker was a little challenging to get used to but once mastered. - very efficient.
The teenagers found the wifi very good.
Kate from Piste Pads was super in arranging ski passes and a good source of local information too.
Helen, the owner, was super in email correspondence and in tolerating all our questions beforehand.
The views from the balcony were wonderfully Alpine. Indeed in the summer I bet it makes a fantastic place to eat and then explore the surrounds from.
Thanks for a very enjoyable stay here.

Great Apartment!
We stayed in the Apartment for a week, skiing La Plagne in March. Great week, great apartment.
We needed 3 bedrooms, which we got, (2 doubles with space, and a full size bunk room) and we also got a great view, a balcony with table outside, easy access (same level as the entry door), plenty of space, good kitchen and table, good cooker and dishwasher, free wifi, DVD player, decent TV, 2 bathrooms and a separate loo! We had no complaints on the facilities.
The apartment is new, clean, well maintained, and spacious. Plenty of hot water (just remember to boost it when going out in the morning).
The pricing for this apartment is about right. It's 40% more than our previous apartment in Les Arcs, but that was the usual 'sleeps 6ish, but feels crowded with just 3 people and getting a bit scruffy' type of place! This is sooo much nicer to stay in for a week! AND here there is no car park charge (you can't avoid the high car park charges in Les Arcs, its the whole town!), the here wifi is free, fast and unrestricted, I think we ended up with 7 or 8 devices on the wifi (including Amazon streaming) without any problems.
So how did it work out for skiing, well for us it was PERFECT! We didn't fancy the bus, (once an hour), and the walk back up to the house looked very tiring at the end of a day - We were told we could ski down to La Roche, but we weren't sure how to find our way back (we could get the bus of course but then the walk.....). Sooooo - we had the car and a top box so we put our gear on and jumped in the car every morning and rolled down to La Roche lift car park. Free parking and literally a 50m easy walk to the chair. End of the day, ski down to La Roche, take off the skiis and put them back in the top box, drive up the hill, leave the skiis and boots in the car, and walk into the apartment! Its the easiest access I've known, even beats Les Arcs where our apartment was 50m from the lift but up a steep slope with skis :(. This is far better for us! Without a car the bus would be fine as well, but a bit more work.
So whats the bad news, well only one small drawback for us, there is no bar or restaurant within sensible walking distance. No big problem, but we went out less than we did in Les Arcs.
A few notes:
-There are several Spar Shops open 7/7 so no problem even on Sunday.
-We tried La Roche restaurant, but didn't enjoy it!
-Skiset Plagne La Roche Ski Hire (under La Roche Restaurant) very convenient, and half the cost of Oxygene.

Luxurious apartment with every comfort thought of, wonderful time had by all.
We stayed in this apartment over February half term, we had loads of helpful advice from the owner before we arrived. This is a fantastic apartment very spacious , loads of room for the 6 of us.Although there is a ski run quite close it is a quite difficult one so I would highly recommend anyone needing ski lessons to use Oxygene company, they collected my daughter and husband every morning and returned them after lunch if needed. They also come to the apartment with ski equipment all for no extra cost. There is a free shuttle bus within minutes of the apartment and for me a non skier this was great for getting up and down the mountain so I could enjoy lunch / drinks with the rest of my family. If I wanted any shopping I would get it at Plagne Centre. The apartment has a slow cooker as well as an oven. There is a wide selection of dvds and games to play in the evening. Although I should not say this , this apartment is definitely under priced for the luxury you get and the photographs are all real. Very happy with this holiday

Perfect Skiing Chalet
We were a party of four adults. The apartment was extremely comfortable for us and had plenty of hot water for baths and showers at the end of the day when you need to soak those muscles. It was also very spacious which made it even more comfortable. I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as it had a large fridge, excellent 4 ring hob and combined oven, grill, microwave. Even had a slow cooker which we used. Hot chicken casserole one night and beef casserole the next night. A little tip (Take from England the Colmans casserole sachet mix to add to your casserole. Then you just need a good splosh of wine)! The dishwasher was handy too! The apartment has a large balcony wrapping round the property. Handy to chill your wines and beer outside when its cold!
We used the free bus to get up to La Plagne Centre or Plagne Aimee 2000. There is a red run from the apartment down to a lift but my husband said it was a narrow path leading to a steep red run. So if you are a beginner or not very confident I would suggest taking the bus like we did! There are plenty of runs for beginners and intermediate skiers. I think we skied most of them! We were very lucky as the week before we arrived they had a big down pour of fresh snow. Then the sun shone all week we were there, which was perfect. It was half term week and the queues were long but they moved fast.
One night we went to the outdoor Magic Pool at Bellecote. It is well heated and great fun to be swimming outside looking at the snow in the steam. You can have a sauna too but it is extra. Cleaners were cleaning the cubicles and corridors which was good to see. Then pop into one of the Bars for a Vin Chaud or a beer!!
We had an excellent meal at La Refuge in Plagne Centre. Not expensive! My husband and I had the fixed price menu at 25euros and the others had steak, risotto and chocolate brownie sauce pudding. Make sure you reserve a table well in advance.
At La Plagne 1800 there is a handy Spar shop were you can park bang outside and buy your croissant, pain au chocolat and baguettes. etc
I would highly recommend this very comfortable apartment. Thank you Helen and Ben. xx

Fantastic apartment with great views.
We had a very enjoyable week at Crete Cote. The apartment is conveniently located with superb views across the valley.
The accommodation is clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was plenty of hot water and having two bathrooms was a bonus. The kitchen has all you need for self catering.
The ski area is superb with plenty of choice. The ski lifts are only a short distance away by car or free ski bus.

Lovely apartment, good location
We had a very good week at Crete Cote, skiing and snowboarding the whole Paradiski area. We were four adults; 3 skiers and one boarder. The car journey up from Crete Cote to La Plagne centre was just a few minutes and we parked there most days - not only was it close to the lifts, but also the Spar and a very good boulangerie/patisserie! The days we skied over at Les Arcs, we parked at Bellecote, which saved some time in getting to the Telepherique Vanoise Express that crosses the valley between the two areas. We had some very good lunches at La Vache Rouge in La Plagne, just down from the Colorado chairlift.
The apartment was very clean, well-equipped and comfortably furnished throughout. Being on the ground floor, we didn't have to tackle stairs when we came back with weary legs - always a bonus! My son (the boarder,) made his own way back each evening, boarding all the way into Crete Cote with just a short walk to the apartment.
Many thanks to Helen and Kate, who were really helpful when we had any questions, both before and during our stay. We really our enjoyed our week and will definitely be back.

Superb location on ski bus route & well equipped
We had a really good week, everything was even better than we had imagined. Great property in a good location on the ski bus route, bus stop in view of and only a short walk from the chalet.
Very well equipped with everything and more provided at the chalet. Very comfortable beds, two bathrooms with bath and shower in each & heated towel rails plus drying rail in main bathroom. Lots of hot water and heating very responsive making for lazy cosy nights in watching a DVD some evenings. Other nights we made the effort and went back out to eat are we're spoilt for choice. We liked Le Refuge & L'Avalanche in La Plagne Centre and also the Restaurant near the chair lift at La Roche, sorry can't remember the name.
Plenty of choices on the slopes, speaking of which the choice of ski runs were some of the best we have seen, suitable for all abilities. Of course we were really lucky with snow having fallen just before we arrived and cold sunny conditions all week. Who could ask for more. Thank you Helen & Ben. We love your property and look forward to being able to return again soon. Imagine it is also stunning in the summer especially the views from the Chalet.

Fabulous Apartment
What a lovely place to stay! The apartment is spotlessly clean and had everything we hoped for, and more! The free shuttle bus was great for getting up and down the mountain. The Refuge Restaurant in Plagne Centre was a good place to eat. We used Sport 2000 in La Plagne 1800 for ski hire. They were very efficient and friendly staff. After a days skiing we really looked forward to going home to our lovely apartment to relax. So cosy! It was great having 2 bathrooms too, with plenty of hot water to ease our aching bodies!
