Their restaurant is fantastic, staff are friendly. Great place to stay if you're attending a wedding or event nearby in the East of Pretoria.

Helpful team, stayed overnight after a wedding. We loved Jock. He visited with us on our stoep all night .
The Black sheep bistro seems popular with locals , breakfast was excellent, there was a steady stream of people.arriving for brunch
The conditioning shampoo is not conditioning, left my hair like straw .

The breakfast was lovely.
The staff member who check us in was rude and didn’t really feel like helping us. The first room he took us to was not what was advertised( The room consists of a separate room and bathroom which are not connected - the area between your room and your bathroom is ‘public space’). When we refused to accept the room, he told us it was because we booked online (?) Only after we stating that we were cancelling the booking did he take us to a second room.
The second room was better as the bathroom was at least en suite.
Overall however, the bedding was clean but the room itself was not. The shower makes use of a gas geyser and no matter how you adjust the water- the shower was either hot or cold and the water pressure ( and temperature) are affected by any other water use on the property. The room need maintenance- the curtains no longer hang property, the cupboard doors don’t close and the curtain tie backs are loose. The room feels run down and neglected.

The shower leaked. The hot water just running out very quikly made showering aweful.

beautiful bushveld setting. friendly staff.
would have been good if the pool was open - it was a hot day!
2.5
A quality breakfast beautifully prepared and presented.
Everything prepared to perfection.
The door handles are in desperate need of some lubrication.
The soap and shampoo dispensing is desirable for a 6 foot tall person in the shower.
A lack of a directory in the room made it impossible to knock what meal times are or even where one was expected to dine.
Lighting from the car park to the room can be enhanced.
Additional ramps would go a long way for the physically challenged.
Seating in the rooms should accommodate the traditionally build bodies. Chairs with arms restrict comfort.
Supplying a two pin adapter for phone charging should be standards as all phones come with two pin chargers.
A heated towel rail would be ideal for residents who are happy not to get new towels daily.

Ozzie was most efficient. The chefs who at 10 pm was willing to send a treat of cheesecake and berries for room services was delightful. Breakfast was yummy thank you for a lovely stay.
chocolate, salty snacks in the fridge would be lovely.
