We booked the Trullo for a week and we all loved every minute.
The weather was fantastic so we had so much use of the beautiful pool and outdoor space. You definitely need a car and we loved exploring the towns of Lecce, Monopoli, Ostuni and Alberobello. Also hired e bikes in Locorotondu .
Had fantastic hosts Sarah and Ant, who were so helpful. We loved the pizza night and the bar area with the honesty box works so well. Truly perfect secluded location and enjoyed the quietness away from traffic, and tourists.Thank you for the amazing lasagna too Sarah on our first night and all the provisions. Very much appreciated . A great holiday had by all my girlfriends

We had a fantastic time at Trullo Santana, the pool was amazing (and the highlight for the kids), the trullo was lovely and cool in the heat. Sarah was so responsive to any queries we had and nothing was too much trouble. She and Ant were the perfect hosts on-site without being at all intrusive. Everything was scrupulously clean and the welcome pack supplied in the kitchen and first night lasagne and garlic bread (and wine!) was much appreciated

Our first time in Italy and wow what a place to start!
The property is ideal for a family holiday, with a huge pool that is cleaned daily, air con (that actually works) , a well equipped kitchen/utility and a well stocked honesty bar outside...we had everything we needed for our stay.
The pizza night hosted by the owners was superb and the kids are still talking about it...making their own pizzas and watching them cook in the pizza oven whilst sat in the evening sun is a memory that will stay with them forever.
The location is lovely and quiet but the nearest towns have everything you need and both coastlines are only 30 minutes away...just a perfect setting really.
Highly recommended.

A great place to stay for some chill time. Pretty out there in location (need a car). Pool is amazing. Like your own private resort. Hosts are fantastic and certainly go the extra mile. Games, stocked up the pantry/fridge with the basics. Can’t beat the wood fire pizza nights! And the arrival lasagna, salad and wine was just what we needed.

Very welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts, combined with wonderful Truli property and lovely pool made this a holiday for all of us to remember. The pizza evening was special!

A beautiful garden with a fabulous pool. Plenty of sun loungers and chairs. A most welcome shaded outside dining area and a well stocked honesty bar. The house itself was very comfortable with plenty of inside seating for all of us (not that we ever sat inside), lots of crockery and cutlery, pots & pans to make self-catering a breeze.
Sarah & Ant were extremely hospitable hosts. Always available if needed but not at all intrusive.
Couldn’t fault the villa and hopefully we will return.

Wonderful holiday in Puglia
We enjoyed an idyllic summer vacation relaxing in Sarah and Ants Trulli. The property is of a high standard, clean and well appointed, with lovely gardens and a fantastic swimming pool. The whole experience, from booking to departure was very smooth and we can only recommend others who wish to explore this area of Italy and who wish to have a relaxing holiday to follow suit.

@Sarah, you are an outstanding host and we´d love to come back someday . Thanks again for sharing (not only) your firewood with us ;-)
Greetings also to Anthony, take care and hopefully see you soon :-)

We had a great week. We stayed in the trullo with 4 teenagers and 2 adults. Very spacious rooms with airco and cosy aswell. A huge pool, tabletennis and a bar in the garden. Heaven for our 18 year olds. When we arrived the fridge was already filled with a very tasteful, homemade lasagna, some basic supplies, local wine and drinks .
The hosts are very kind, helpful and relaxed.
The place is very remote and apart form the wifi at the house their is no internet in the surroundings. Be aware to switch on navigation in time, while you have internet. We lost our way ones when it was very dark and we couldn’t rely on navigation. Thank you for the great stay, Sarah.

@Sarah: Thank you for the time there!

SOGNO
Tutto perfetto.

Tranquil destination for a family/group seeking unique high standard accommodation and facilities
Delightful accommodation in a quiet, peaceful location but within easy reach of some beautiful places of interest. Very tastefully appointed and well equipped both internally & externally.
We took great pleasure in splashing around in the much larger than average swimming pool and enjoyed taking advantage of the purpose built barbeque to dine al fresco in the garden areas.
Sarah & Ant were the perfect hosts, readily available if called upon but otherwise totally unobtrusive. The complimentary homemade lasagne meal (plus wine!) on arrival was delicious and very much appreciated as were the breakfast provisions. The pizza night was tremendous fun and an experience definitely not to be missed!
Some wonderful photos uploaded onto a personal Facebook account have generated significant interest amongst extended family and friends. It has also resulted in several requests for the booking details and we certainly have had no hesitation in recommending it.

Place with charm spirit of Puglia .Wonderfull owners
I really recommend this place, we spent there there extraordinary 10 days.
You feel as a special guests as from the first minutes when the owners welcome you with a glass of the local wine followed by the fantastic lasagna !
The trullo is exceptional in each dimension :) surrounded by hundreds years of old olives tree - really great.!!!
I strongly recommend the pizza festival prepared by Sarah and Anthon - fantastic home made pizza from the wooden fire oven !
Great and Thanks to Sarah and Anton !

Wonderful week in Puglia
We had a wonderful week at Trullo Santana.
Property feels delightfully rural, but is well located for exploring Puglia - we were able to easily reach all the sites we wanted to, and this was a perfect base to return to. The trullo is larger inside than you would expect from the photos, and the air conditioning is very welcome at night. The pool is stunning. Sarah and Ant were perfect hosts, and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Only regret is that holiday was too short!

Excellent place for a chillout family holiday
As a place for a chill-out family holiday this really worked for us. Three generations from 7 to 70.
First the good things:
Met at airport by owner who helped this luggage and guided us to accommodation.
Late flight arrival meant we only made accommodation at 9.30pm. Lasagne in oven and fridge stocked with bread, milk and basics for following morning - all part of the service. Well appointed kitchen with basic condiments for cooking
Fantastic swimming pool, cleaned every day.
Great Pizza night with grandchildren making their own Pizza's in outdoor wood fired Pizza oven, then eating them fresh out, at the bar, with chilled beer and wine
Outdoor eating facilities
Package of directions to local supermarkets, beaches and restaurants.
Books, DVD's and large, easy to work TV
Now the bad things.

Great find and great people.
The property was outstanding, it was everything we hoped for as a family , Its rather secluded which we as family loved .The accommodation was very clean, and as we expected having viewed on the website the rooms are large and welcoming . The pool is the big bonus with Trullo Santana with spent most days in and around the pool , with eveving barbecue's and drinks at our own bar. The owners live the other side of the pool but at no point during our holiday did we feel they are intruding or visible, but it was great if we had a problem, they couldnt' have been more helpful. They are fun to spend time with and full of local knowledge. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a get away of the beaten track but near to so many attractions and beaches.

Chill out heaven
Trullo Santana is a fantastic oasis where you can really chill out. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely hosts Ant and Sarah and indeed Ant met us at the airport hire car office to lead us back to the trullo - a nice touch after our flight from Heathrow. Upon arrival, we found that Sarah had provided us not only shopping for breakfast the following morning, but she had also prepared a huge lasagna for us all with salad, garlic bread, wine, beers and soft drinks - and all this was included in the price - brilliant!
It is ideally located for exploring the Puglian sights. Within a comfortable drive of Ostuni, Alborebello (with all of its quaint trulli) and the wonderful Lecce, there is plenty for everyone. The Adriatic coast is about a 20 minute drive and the Ionian coast is under 40 minutes and both offer great beaches, as well as providing wonderful places to have excellent sea-food or pasta lunches.
We spent a lot of our time back at the trullo sunbathing by the huge pool and it was 30 degrees when we were there, so the pool was a welcome place to cool off.
I would thoroughly recommend having a pizza night or 2 hosted by Sarah & Ant. Sarah will then provide all the necessities (base, toppings etc) and guidance to help you make your own pizzas before Ant cooks them to perfection in his large pizza oven. A brilliant night.
There is also a bar area and we had many great nights with and without our hosts - they allowed us to take what we wanted and simply to write down what we had consumed and this proved to be really good value.
If you have teenage children who are looking for night life, I would say that this is not necessarily the place for you - it is as far from Magaluf as you can get!
If you want a place to chill out whilst experiencing the best of southern Italy in terms of places of interest, great food, a huge choice of beaches, a great pool and sunbathing area, a lovely outside eating area and all this whilst staying in a traditional trullo with all the mod cons, then Trullo Santana could not be bettered.
Ant and Sarah are considerate hosts - they live in another trullo on the far side of the massive grounds and you would hardly know that they were there other than when they are helping you to cook great pizzas!
I could not recommend this place any higher and indeed we have been there twice before - and each time it has been of the highest quality - brilliant!

Beautiful Trulli, Large Pool, Pizza Nights Yum
We had such a wonderful holiday at Trullo Santana.
After the short flight to Brindisi from Gatwick, we were met by the ever so charming Ant at our hire car collection point. He greated us with his huge smile and very kindly lead us back to the property.
The Trulli is even more beautiful than the pictures show. Respectfully, but beautifully restored, and coverted into a fairytale holiday home.
As soon as we arrived we were given a guided tour, a welcome drink (or 3) and nibbles at the bar. A lovely touch I thought. We also had a delicious lasagne freshly prepared by the great chef Sarah, with a large salad, garlic bread, wine, soft drinks etc. They supply you with a good selection of food and necessaties so you don't need to rush out when you arrive. We even had cereal, milk, bread, melon and eggs for breakfast the following morning, all included in the cost of the property. Sarah even offered to do a shop for us before we arrived should we have wished.
The private pool is huge and surrounded by lush planting. We had so much fun in there and it was discretely cleaned early every morning before we awoke. We Loved it!
We had our own private bar - Ants Nest, which you can use as and when you please at really low prices. Oh, and Ant and Sarah are happy to host a pizza night or two for you. We had two and I cannot recommend it enough. They prepare everything and you get to have a go at making your own pizza should you wish. The kids (and the big kids) loved it. We had freshly baked garlic bread, a large pizza each, and then chocolate covered pizza for pudding, truly delicious and a great selection of toppings. Not to be missed in my opinion and very good value for money.
We hired a car with SatNav and visited Ostuni (twice). It was beautiful and worth a visit. We also visited Alborobello, stunning.
We only had a week and I wish we had booked longer. The roads a very clear so we enjoyed driving around. The supermarket is 5 mins away, and there is a big shopping centre 15-20 mins away also.
Sarah and Ant live in another Trulli on the opposite side of the plot, out of sight. They are so repectful of your privacy and there for you should you need anything. I thought they were lovely and really enjoyed our pizza nights with them.
They also have the most wonderful, soppy dog Harley. Never in my life have i met such a loving, gentle dog. He made our holiday extra special, and I wish I could have taking him home with us. Adorble!

We had a really lovely time for ten days at Trullo Santana. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids aged 16, 14 and 10. We were looking for some down time as a family and to enjoy ourselves away from the hussle and bussle. It was a great success. WIFi is available but only really beside the outdoor bar which is perfect for on and off use. The pool is really stunning and always clean. We used the bar b que a few times for lunch which was really handy and v nice! Great meat and veg is available in the supermarket Auchan. The owners Sarah and Ant were really helpful to us, Ant even drove us to our car hire in Brindisi and waited so we could follow him home....really thoughtful. We were quite noisy in the pool sometimes playing games etc but they never seemed to mind. The aircon was perfect and stopped us over heating when necessary. The DVD collection was fabulous and the kids loved them when they needed a break. We ate most nights in San Michele salantino which is very charming with very few tourists (great value also)....... we went to the beach at St Pietro in Bevagnan (really stunning and calm. We paid for the private sunbeds which really made it and worth it, kids adored it, water amazing) and also Ostuni Mare (great waves, we had great fun in the sea). We could have done with a few more restaurant recommendations and tips on what time to go there, the first few nights we were a little confused.....Overall we had a really lovely time, all the kids really enjoyed it which meant M & D did too!! Really happy to recommend Trullo Santana to anyone.

Three generations of one family aged from 9years to 90years had the most wonderful two weeks staying here. The Trullo itself is so beautiful and romantic. The pool is just stunning and so much fun. The gardens, bar, bbq and pizza oven just a joy. All completely private set amongst acres of Olive trees. Perfect outside eating area, we would all sit to eat (and drink) together long into the evening. No light pollution to mask the amazing night sky's. Shooting stars to make wishes on. Our wish is to return to Satana. Hosts Sarah and Ant are so kind and discrete. Above all this the most wonderful thing was sharing our holiday with HARLEY. He is the most wonderful resident dog. He enriched our stay and we miss him dreadfully. Xxxx

We had a lovely time in Trulli Santana and enjoyed the delicious home made welcome lasagne with wine, the fabulous pool, the fun pizza night (sorry that one ended up on the floor!) and Sarah and Anthony's discreet hospitality. The trulli is set in beautiful gardens - with a bar - amid a huge olive grove; privacy and peacefulness are guaranteed. Alberobello and Ostuni are well worth a visit - parking is fun - but it was too hot to face the bigger but more impressive Lecce (thank goodness for the air conditioning in the trulli)! The small nearby town of St Michele Salentino has a bakery, green grocer, supermarket etc and a huge range of good restaurants, along with the traditional square in which to relax with your pre-dinner drink. The beaches on the Adriatic - small, but numerous and with waves - and Ionian coasts - huge stretches of golden sand - are a great place to spend a day (beach umbrellas a must). Although a decent drive away they are easy to find.

A fantastic week's stay in Trullo Santana, plenty of space for two families holidaying together.
A superbly restored Trullo, set in spacious gardens and olive groves, with a lovely outdoor eating area for all those meals outside in the Italian sunshine.
And the best bit, an amazing pool 16m x 8m. " Awesome" said the children, and we agreed; in fact most of the holiday was spent in it.
Ant and Sarah are the perfect hosts, on hand if needed, but not intrusive. We were all taken with their two dog's, Harley and Star and Leon the cat
A must is a Pizza night, hosted by Sarah and Ant, children and adult's alike had a great time making their own pizza.
We would certainly visit again.
