About this house rental

On 2 hectares of wooded land, this cottage can accommodate 4 people and enjoys an exceptional view of the Estuary and the Pont de Normandie, just 10 m from the Vieux Bassin. It has all the necessary comfort to welcome you at best in a quiet and wooded environment. It is an old sheepfold of the XVIIth century which was restored in 2001 by using old materials. It is located on the former property of Lucie Delarue-Mardrus (Contemporary Honfleur poetess of Colette) and has all the comforts for your stay: TV, DVD and CD player, WiFi. The veranda brings a contemporary touch to the whole. Its large windows allow you to enjoy nature in all seasons and offer a breathtaking view of the estuary of the Seine and the church of Saint Leonard and the roofs of Honfleur.
Home warm, it has on the floor, two nice rooms bathroom of which one with tub balnéo, and a TOILET. On the ground floor, a large living room with fireplace, a TV area, a fully equipped kitchen with a bar, and a lounge area in the veranda.
In the spa room, a double bed 140 and in the other room two single beds that can be converted into a large 180 bed at your convenience. All our new bedding and quality.
Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor.
NB: we have another cottage in the same property that shares the main entrance but are well apart from each other and each with its own space.

Tranquillité, la maison est bien agencée, rien ne manque, tout y est pensé. Bien situé à seulement 5 minutes à pied du centre d'Honfleur. A recommander.

séjour très agréable , maison magnifique pleine de charme , vue superbe sur le pont de Normandie , beaucoup de tranquilité, d espace et une proximite du centre ville . la véranda est vraiment un plus !! ( pour les jours de temps mitigé !!) nous conseillons cette location !!! c est vraiment trés bien ...

Belle maison ! L'extérieur est sympathique avec une très belle vue sur Honfleur et le pont de Normandie. La grande pièce à vivre est très bien surtout la véranda (on se croirait dehors !). Petit bémol concernant la partie nuit, il manque un peu de place pour circuler (problème des pièces sous les toits). L'emplacement de la maison est un tout petit peu trop loin du centre d'Honfleur mais cela permet d'être au calme.

Wunderschönes Haus mit fantastischem Blick auf Honfleur und die Normandiebrücke. Das Haus ist auch in der kalten Jahreszeit sehr gut zu bewohnen. Die Eigentümerin ist ausgesprochen nett und kompetent. Sie gibt tolle Tipps und Empfehlungen. Leider gibt es nur eine Toilette und die ist auf der 1. Etage. Bei Belegung von mehr als 2 Personen evtl. etwas unpraktisch. Auch das Duschen in der Badewanne ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Alles in allem aber ein tolles, hübsches Haus, in dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

Ein tolles Quatier. Leider konnten wir von dort aus nicht soviel mit dem Rad unternehmen, die Zufahrtstrassen waren überfüllt.

A peaceful retreat

A peaceful retreat

We spent a week here with our adult son and his partner. We loved everything about this property - from its peaceful location - easy access to downtown Honfleur - scenic views -feeding the goats in the garden with our vegetable scraps and quirky bedrooms/bathroom. Isabelle greeted us on arrival; was readily available for questions we might have and we particularly enjoyed the lettuce she provided from her garden!!

Gorgeous location and cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Bergerie and found the cottage very comfortable and well appointed for guests. The view is quite spectacular of Pont de Normandie and the town is just a short walk away which was perfect. The bedrooms are nice and spacious however there is only a bath and if you’re used to showers this takes a couple of days to adjust to.

Superbe !

La bergerie est un endroit superbe, très calme on n’entend que les oiseaux. Honfleur ce merveilleux petit port est joignable à pied ( 1km). Le logement est doté d’une magnifique véranda d’ou l’on domine Honfleur avec le pont de Normandie en face. Enfin Isabelle Mountain est une hôtesse très sympathique qui vous indiquera les bonnes adresses

The house stands in a wonderful position overlooking the estuary , we loved sitting outside admiring the fantastic view. The house itself had everything you could want for your stay and you could walk down to the centre of Honfleur take in the harbour, visit the shops and have a nice meal. The owner was very helpful. The only thing we found odd were the baths in the bedrooms but we got used to that. I would certainly recommend this property.

La Bergerie was exactly as presented in the photos. It was walking distance (10 minutes) to all the sights of old Honfleur, plus a bank, grocery store, restaurants, shopping, and an amazing Saturday farmers market. The 2 goats loved the farmers market carrots that we fed them daily. Isabelle was a wonderful hostess and answered all of our question. A welcome basket of local goodies, was much appreciated. Coming from America, our only negative would be the lack of a shower/bathtub enclosure. It was very difficult to keep shower water in the tub area while using the European style shower sprayer. We would definitely recommend this property.
