There were 4 of us. 1 couple and 2 friends. There were 3 bedrooms so that worked out perfect. There were some minor issues, the owner was wonderful, very responsive. The location was great, not too far away from the events but far enough that we weren’t hearing all the goings on.
Would recommend!

What a sensational find right in the heart of the Shambles area of York - I couldn't recommend the property more highly. The stairs might be a bit of trouble to those with lots of luggage but we each helped each other both up & down but the stay was well & truly worth it particularly to experience a period home with every mod con you could wish for. 11 out of 10

Roomy flat with a great kitchen, washer and dryer. Very close to restaurants and stores, including grocery stores. Very walkable city. Close to trains station, tram and bus stops. Uber is easy to use. A block or two away from the crowds.

This property was perfect for our visit to Edinburgh! The apartment was very comfortable and the location could not have been better. We were able to walk easily to Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and Arthur's Seat. The host was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. We very much enjoyed our time here!

We had a most wonderful stay at William's flat! The kitchen is fantastic, well-stocked, and the perfect place for reminiscing about the day's adventures. The bathrooms are beautifully appointed, and the bedrooms are clean and comfortable. Most importantly, our host, William, was a huge help with numerous questions and was gracious in granting us a late check-out due to travel constraints. Highly recommended all around!

It's a spacious apartment located only a few blocks from Edinburgh Castle. We could get everywhere with a short walk. Communication with William was great and check-in was really easy. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

The location is ideal. 10-15 minute walk to everything. The home has a well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, great showers and the wifi worked well. I would definitely stay here again. I can’t stress enough how convenient it was to restaurants, sightseeing, and groceries. We really enjoyed it.

We stayed at the flat for 3 nights with our two kids, aged 13 and 10. The kids appreciated getting their own rooms after several nights sharing beds. The flat is in a fabulous location and well laid out. We really appreciated the washer and dryer (with laundry soap) as we were able to refresh our clothes mid trip. We've stayed in other european properties where the dryer was a joke, but this one worked well. We were able to walk the city very easily from this location and had a fantastic stay.

We were very happy with this 3 bedroom flat in Edinburgh. Great layout in a wonderful 200 year old building. Everything was as stated and the host was easy to communicate with. One thing not mentioned, that was a nice bonus, was access to the private gated park across Queen st. It was a pleasant but if serenity in the city.

If you're looking to stay in the heart of Edinburgh within easy walking distance of some of the best shopping and dining, this is your place! Located at the corner of Queen and Castle Streets in New Town, the apartment offered a no-frills base for our three nights in the city. The owners are very responsive (we needed to reset the hot water/boiler, which was easily done), the beds are comfortable, and the space comfortably accommodated our two families (two couples and three young adults.) Lovely!

Came with my family with two kids- 9 and 11. The location couldn’t be any better. In the heart of new town (nicest area of edinburgh)- walking distance to old town sites (all the big sites are within 20 min walk)
The apartment is up one floor- not bad w luggage. It’s a very old building- that’s the charm of Edinburgh. Could use new carpet- but otherwise its in near perfect condition.
You can hear a bit of car noise at night, but even my kids (who live in quiet horse country) were fine w ear plugs / sound machine
There’s so many good breakfast, lunch and dinner places within a 10 mins walk
You need to rent this place. Made our trip awesome

This was a very spacious place, great for a family. It was walking distance to basically everything we wanted to do, we even walked to and from the train station. Tons of great places to eat nearby. Walking distance to old town, castle, etc.
William was super helpful when we needed a last minute change to our reservation due to a train strike. I would absolutely recommend this place. Also there is a great little coffee shop / cafe across the street if you don't want to make breakfast.
The 3 bedrooms are all as pictured and very nice, the living room is huge and the kitchen lovely, the first bathroom is huge with a beautiful tub and separate shower, the second bath is small but is just fine.

Home Base for St Andrews, Edinburgh area Golf
Excellent location to base your Scotland golf trip combined with the sights of Edinburgh. Walking distance to numerous restaurants and pubs; great view of the castle right outside your door. Our host William was easy to communicate with helpful advice/answers.

Wonderful apartment, central location
This is the perfect place for a family holiday in Edinburgh. Walking distance from anything you’d like to see, without too much of the typical tourist traffic. The apartment has everything you’ll need to make your own meals, and relax between excursions.

A Nice Place
We had a great experience at this home. Very clean and well located. It met all of our expectations. And we found a wonderful place for breakfast just around the corner on Queen Street, Fortuna Coffee Bar.

Great Urban Apartment in Great Location
Finding city apartments that provide space, have a great location, and are appropriately/reasonably priced is no no small task. This apartment delivers on all three accounts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would rent this flat again in a second. Loved our time here in Edinburgh and a big part of that was staying here.

Spacious with convenient location
Very nice location with nearby grocery, equidistant from Waverly and Haymarket Stations. Walking distance to most sights in good shoes. Kitchen is well-equipped and rooms are nice enough. Enjoyed strolling through the private gardens across the street. Queen Street is a little busy at night, but quiets down after midnight.

Perfect Location for City Centre Attractions
The apartment was big enough for six adults. Plenty of amenities. Walking distance to attractions, shopping, dining, and groceries. We had rented a vehicle for driving to St. Andrews and then the second leg of our trip to the Highlands. Parking was expensive throughout the area we were at. We were told that it was cheaper blocks away but we’re never able to download and use the RingGo app. It would not validate our cell phone numbers. So we had to use the car park on Castle Terrace for four nights which came to be somewhat expensive. Besides the parking situation, we could not have had a better place as our home base for 4-5 days. A big thanks to William and his staff!!!

This place was perfect for our family summer vacation. Rooms were very spacious and clean. We all slept well in the comfortable beds. Location was excellent. The washer/dryer was an added bonus.

Great location and host
This spacious corner apartment is well located for walking, shopping and sightseeing; and William was a gracious and accessible host. The kitchen is a well equipped and comfortable gathering space. However, the decor in the bedrooms is spartan, and the living room furniture is rather worn and tired. An upgrade is these areas would make this a five star experience.

Perfect location and great service.
I am native of Edinburgh visiting from the US, and this was just a great, classic New Town flat in a perfect location. William sent detailed instructions and was attentive and responsive throughout.

Great location in New Town
Lovely stay in a fantastic property. Much bigger than the listing seems to show. Well equipped kitchen. Living room was nice but TV was a bit complicated to work out but managed it.
All in all a great stay. William was an excellent host, very communicative and checked everything was ok after we’d got into the property. He was very flexible with check-in times when friends were arriving early into Edinburgh.

Excellent base for Fringe and Tattoo
Wonderful location near the events but far enough from the noise to feel quiet and restful. Appointments and furnishings were very nice and it was a joy to spend time in the flat too. Kitchen and main bathroom were particularly excellent. The owner was caring and responsive. We would certainly return.

Ideal location and amenities
We were a group of six adults (3 couples) visiting for the first weekend of the festival. You could stay much longer given the well equipped kitchen but we ate out. It is a lovely older building. Quiet, yet close to everything.

Central location, character, great kitchen!
What a great property! We were close enough to the Hub and Castle to be a 15 min walk away through the park and up a hill. The owner was incredibly responsive - we had an issue with the hot water and he had an engineer on site within an hour, with part delivered and fixed the next morning. Very happy we stayed here with our kids.

Perfect home in the perfect location!!
This home was the absolute perfect rental for our family. The home is exactly as advertised and the pictures are accurate. If anything, the pictures make it look smaller than it is. The kitchen was well appointed and large, which included a dining table and seats for all to congregate. The living room was the perfect space for us to talk about the day and everything we have seen. All of the bedrooms were good size which allowed all 7 of us to sleep comfortably. The mattresses, pillows and sheets were high quality, which made for great night rests.
Now the location, there isn't enough space to accurately describe how AMAZING the location is. When you walk out the front door and look right, you are literally looking at the Castle. Which was lit up purple at night (so cool). Also, you have about 200 restaurants, bars, high end shopping, and coffee shops within a few blocks. I can't tell you how many times our group said "we couldn't imagine staying somewhere else" "our place is the perfect location".
All and all, this was an amazing home in arguably the best location imaginable. William the owner was easy to work with and was extremely fast to respond to any question. Which we had two during our stay and he literally responded within a minute or two.
My family fell in love with the city and we intend to visit again. If this home is available at the time, we would not hesitate in renting again.
