Wonderful stay!

In this apartment you feel as it is your home! The host was thinking for everything. The situation in Ortigia is great, Mr Roberto gave us all the information that we needed during our stay. For sure we will come back!

Recommend for Syracuse

Roberto is a very generous, caring host and will do everything to ensure you enjoy your visit. The amazing accommodation is very large and has everything you need - extra supplies of necessary items, washing machine/dryer, even items for the beach. The apartment is very large and has a great location- walking distance to train, restaurants and tourist sites. The apartment is clean and relaxing. I highly recommend this accommodation

We liked how easy it was to find things in the apartment, it was well thought out. The refrigerator was stacked with plenty of beverages and in general there was an abundance of every little thing you may need.

The pressure in the shower was somewhat low.

Wow. Great place and a great host.

Easily the best place/host we stayed with in Sicily and maybe the best private room/host we've ever booked anywhere. Roberto exceeded all our expectations in his responsiveness and helpfulness as well as being a friendly and kind person. The room is in a great location- within Ortigia on a quiet lane, just a few steps or a few minutes walk from everything. The apartment has everything we needed. We simply can't say enough good things about Casa Gargallo. We will stay here again!

As others mention, you need to use street parking if you can figure it out or use the Talete public parking lot but it's not problem since Roberto came and met us within 5-10 minutes even though we hadn't told him what time we were arriving! 15euro/day for the public parking.

Fabulous and would definitely stay here again.

This property made us feel like we were at home. It was very clean with easy access to the main sights in Ortigia. The host was very welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure that we not only enjoyed our stay but that we did not miss our morning flight.

Owners Roberto and Carmel make Casa Gargallo the essence of Ortigia in every way.

We count ourselves very fortunate to have stayed at Casa Gargallo in Ortigia during our recent holiday in Sicily. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable and very well set up for two people. There are lots of extra touches, including a welcome tray of goodies on arrival. Breakfast items are also provided. There is plenty of storage space in the bedroom and the comfortable bed ensured a good a night’s sleep. The apartment itself is old and you can feel it throughout through it’s careful and tasteful presentation. It is in a relatively quiet area of Ortigia, but still within easy walking distance of everything in this stunning, historic and atmospheric small island. A good small supermarket, cafes and restaurants are all within 5 minutes walk. The owners Roberto and Carmel are rightfully very proud of Casa Gargallo and we found them to be very generous and hospitable, so ensuring our stay was a memorable experience.

Arrival was a little confusing because I said we would walk from the parking lot to the property. I should have messaged him when we arrived on the island and then he would have met us at the property. My fault. Roberto was an excellent host,

Centric beautiful place. Great value for money.

The attention of the host was amazing and the garage is super close. He came to receive us and was always available for help, his hospitality was impressive. The appartment is super centric but in a quieter street, it's spacious and has all what's needed. Even board games.

There's only one window on the main room so not a lot of natural.light.

Absolutely gorgeous, cozy apartment! Everything you could need was available and more than that - atmosphere, design, little details that provide comfort. Situated in the middle of everything but a quiet place at nighttime. The best of all is the owner - Roberto - he's the most helpful person, always trying to make his guests feel welcome and special. He was there on our arrival and when we were leaving he came to see us off. He helped us solve a problem we had minutes before leaving and overall we're extremely grateful to him.

Central Location. Excellent facilities, Clean

Centrally located in the old town but very quiet. Well decorated. Well packed fridge, full breakfast. Have everything we need in the kitchen, nothing more. the host is ready to assist if you need. This place is the number one for all accommodation we stayed during 30 days trip in Italy. It’s a true home away from home. Paid car park nearby.

Excellent location,very easy to find.Great host,very well appointed apt with every detail well thought out for a perfect stay.Grocery store and parking very close by as well as all that Ortygia has to offer at your door step,This is the best apt we have stayed at in our 3 months in Italy, and will definitely return.

Shower could use an up grade,all though it serves its purpose as is.

Words cannot describe this home. Its beautifully furnished and decorated. You feel like its your own home and could have easily stayed longer. The hosts are very warm and friendly with great attention to detail on amenities in the home. We had everything we needed. They made lovely little touches in the look and decor which made it feel cozy and homely They even left us snacks and drinks as a welcome Also lots of information available in the apartment for the area. Communication with hosts was always fast and clear. Beds are comfortable Place is very clean Location is in the heart of ortgia with duomo just 4 mins walk Area is so pretty and romantic WiFi was very good Place was big and light

Just wonderful

The host was very accomodating from the start til the end. They were both extremely helpful! We are a group of 2 adults and 2years old and 8 months old. They prepared the room perfect for our daughters with a crib, bed guard rail and some toys. They went absolutely beyond the expectation. The place was amazing -beautifully decotrated, very clean and very organized. Walking distance to the excellent restaurants.

We didn't get to stay longer :( A bit more sunlight would have been nice but we didn't think it as an issue.

Incredibly nice people. Roberto and his wife are more than friendly and caring! The apartment itself is beautifully furnished. As a little surprise they set up pasta di mandorla, cold beveriges and lots of other nice stuff for our arrival. The apartment is right in the heart of Ortigia. Very great experience!

Wonderful. Just wonderful.

Where shall I begin? Most of all: The friendly, helpful owners, with good communication before th trip. The cleaniness. The perfect state of the place as if we were the first to live there. The fact that nothing is missing, even a washing machine with dryer and ironing devices is there and toys and games well used by our boys. The tasteful interior. The nice area (we were not disturbed by noise at all as a few complained). The well working air condditioning system ... And there is much more to tell. It was a wonderful stay in Siracusa. Thanks so much to Carmen and Roberto, who did all they could that we had such a good time in their place, also for our two little boys!

Most beautiful place we stayed at during our holiday!

Everything was perfect but it could be even more with a better heating system for winter since the power supply couldn't support the portable heaters.

Superb

Owner is very kind and can solve problems as soon as possible. Especially he support to park the car and bring luggage from parking space to apartment.

In the case of 4 people, the hot water capacity in the bathroom and kitchen is not enough. I recommend to use hot water minimum.
