This property is just stunning! Remote, but close to shops. Easy trips to Brussels, Bruges, dunkirk and many places in France as near the border. We drove from UK, so easy via LeShuttle!
Very comfy, Huge place too with plenty of space for multiple families, loads of toys, lovely pool and jacuzzi, so very quiet too - just wonderful!
Sergio, the host, was lovely! He was very helpful and really happy to suggest things to do and any small issues sorted immediately.
We took our dog, garden was safe and secure, electronic gates for security but the village was very tranquil.... the dog loved it lol 😆

The property is very spacious and very much the traditional french/belgian country style. Rooms were big, great for a large family like ours.
The private pool and hot tub were the star attractions, gorgeous and very clean and inviting.
Sergio was easy to deal with and the process was very straightforward.
We would definitely stay here again for a nice break, our week summer holiday here was wonderful.

We had a good time in that spacious country- house. The pool and the whirlpool were great, we used them every single day. The house has a special charm. There is everything you need, washing- machine, dryer, iron and a fully equipped kitchen. Sergio and his wife were very helpful in every situation and always available for a question. Nearby you find every shop you need, but you need a car!
It was no problem having a dog there!

Family celebration
Pool, jacuzzi, garden and parking were all excellent. Interior of accommodation was in places a bit cluttered, and perhaps needed some updating. Very spacious, but we found upstairs really hot, although downstairs bedroom was okay. Because of the mosquitoes, we couldn’t open windows upstairs at night, which made the heat worse. We also felt that it would have been better with more walk in shower facilities. Other than that we loved the accommodation
The host was really helpful and friendly, and a small problem we had was dealt with immediately
However, we felt that the information given by Vrbo was inaccurate re arrival and departure times, and also they did not mention the requirement for a 400 euro deposit in cash on arrival.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our family celebration at this accommodation

Gastvriendelijke eigenaar, groot huis wel iets gedateerd maar heerlijk met goed weer. Buiten is het goed verblijven. Complete keuken en ruime slaapkamers. Niet heel veel direct in de buurt dus auto is een must.

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad in dit huisje. De eigenaar is een hele vriendelijke man en zorgt ervoor dat alles in het huis naar wens is. Het zwembad bij het huis werd elke dag vroeg schoongemaakt zonder dat wij er iets van hebben gemerkt.
Een prachtig huis waar je de hele vakantie plezier kunt hebben zonder dat je het huis verlaat. Ik zal elke groep vrienden of familie die op vakantie gaan om een goede tijd met elkaar te hebben dit huis aanraden.

We had a great stay in this house. The owner is a very friendly man, he makes sure everything in the house meets your wishes. The owner cleanded the pool every day early in the morning whitout us even noticing.
A beautifull house where you can have fun without even leaving the house. I recommend this house to every group of friends or family who are on a vacation to have a nice time together.

Antieke huis op een mooie locatie! We hebben heerlijk genoten van het buitenzwembad en jacuzzi. De gastheer is 24 uur per dag bereikbaar. Wij hadden een klein mankement en dat heeft hij direct opgelost! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Nous venons de passer le week-end dans ce gîte pour fêter un EVG,nous avons appréciés le séjour dotant plus que le soleil était au rendez-vous.Piscine et Jacuzzi au top!!!Nous étions 12 et tout le monde a dormis plus que correctement.Proprietaire très sympathique.Appréciable de pouvoir rendre la location le dimanche en fin d’après-midi plutôt qu’au matin.Cela permet de profiter pleinement de la journée. Rien a redire

Great place to stay! We were here with 10 friends for New Year 2018/19. House was very clean and the interior was great.
Had an awesome time.
Mr. Cavalera (the owner) was very courteous and came regularly to maintain the pool.
And a tip for Peruwelz, try restaurant Tonton Toque, it also grat!

Peace & quiet, in a rural setting, with private pool and hot-tub. Lovely.
Spent a long weekend here in August. Everything was in good order, pool was clean and not overlooked, hot-tub was great. Only a 2 minute drive to local supermarkets and not far from Tournai or Vallenciennes if you need bigger towns. Only 90 minutes from Calais and within easy striking distance of Ypres, Ghent, Bruges or Brussels if required.
Property was clean and spacious, but it is a gite, not a 5-star hotel. Multiple bathrooms and showers, so nobody had to queue in the morning.
Just one tip for travellers, towels are not included, the Home and Away site does not make this clear. No big deal for the self-catering traveller, but bring plenty, you will use the pool and hot tub a lot !!!!

Stayed with my family. 10 in total. We all loved it. Very nice area close to so many different cities.
Definitely recommend this place for touring around this area or generally Belgium. Perfect place for families with small children as we had or as a group of adults.

We spent a wonderful 10 days at the property, we could not have asked for better. We had a very friendly welcome from Sergio and his wife when we arrived and he was very easy to contact if we had any queries. The pool and Jacuzzi were very well maintained and really added to our holiday. Perfect! The property was extremely well equipped with all you would need. Internet access was great. The cottage is situated in a very small, quiet village however, there were a few supermarkets within a few minutes drive so it was very easy to stock up on groceries.
We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and we are certainly considering a return visit.

EXCELLENT COTTAGE!!!
We had a very enjoyable time when we stayed at this cottage last August – we were so pleased with the cottage and its facilities and most especially the excellent customer service provided to us by the owner(s).
The location was very close to the motorway which gave us easy access in visiting different cities in Belgium as well as Lille, France. It is also very convenient that the shops are only a few minutes away from the cottage. It was also situated in the countryside with private parking so we had privacy and didn’t have to worry about disturbing the neighbours.
The house is beautiful and filled with nice furnitures and equipment including computer and printer. Internet access was never a problem for us. The kitchen equipments were all working so it was very handy to have everything we needed to be able to cook as we love cooking.
The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were well maintained throughout our stay so the kids including the adults had a great time. The owners of the house were kind and lovely, they ensured we had everything we needed and they came round a few times to ensure that the facilities were well maintained.
It was excellent and we will definitely recommend this cottage to our friends and families. We are already considering coming back here even for a stay over a long weekend depending on availability.

"Large, spacious house in a quiet rural location but very close to a main motorway. The kitchen is very well equipped. Plenty of toys for the children to play with and the availability of a computer with internet and printer was very useful. The pool and garden area is fantastic and very private. "At first view the house seems great. There were plenty of bedrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool was fantastic although only heated to 23C so it was a bit chilly on colder days. The surroundings are quite peaceful; in a small town but with no ammenities.
The only complaint we had was the smell. There were places inside the house that had an awful odour. This same odour could be smelled at times when by the pool. It almost smelled like the septic tank needed to be cleaned out. There were a few things falling apart including the master bathtub. The master shower head did not work properly either.
All in all it was a nice place to stay but could use some TLC."
