The weekly market (Tuesdays) attracts many traders and shoppers from all over the region and the town centre has a vibrant, friendly atmosphere with many lovely shops, tapas bars & restaurants.

Villa Golondrinas offers a clean, tidy, and spacious environment with a nice pool area, close to amenities and the beach. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

Wonderful Villa
We had an excellent stay at Villa Golondrinas. The villa was clean and tidy and had all amenities close at hand. The supermarket is a 5 minute walk away and the beach is a 15 minute walk away. The pool area is nice and the trees afford a lot of privacy. The bedrooms are spacious and the marble floors keep them, and the rest of the house, quite cool. There is also a large book collection with many books in English. I highly recommend this place for your next holiday!
The outdoor areas would benefit from a fresh coat of paint and the gate to enter the property is quite difficult to lock (you need to pull it very hard).

Belle villa

Calle antiquerra
Lovely area of Nerja,2 supermarkets Mercadona and supersol less than five minutes away , short bus ride to town and Cueva de Nerja, but we Wales most day , burianna beach about 8 mins away you can walk along a road or cut thru some woodland.
Ian the property ,manager always on hand in his office , in the town, very helpful and very nice person, nothing was too much bother , even if we did disagree which football team was the best in Merseyside,
Will return to Nerja again in the future and will use c and g to find us the ideal property
Cheers Ian

JANUARY GET AWAY
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay in Nerja, we found the property, the area, the amenities all perfect for our needs. We are
already talking about going back. Ian was a very helpful and it was
good to know there would be someone at the end of the phone should a problem arise.
The property was exceptionally clean, light and bright. We can
imagine it being fabulous in the summer too with the pool. Unfortunately too cold in January, but we did use the roof terrace
as the weather was kind to us for our second week. Whilst we had some rain it did not stop us going out visiting the amazing caves (5 minutes away in the car) and a little bit of retail therapy.
Nerja is lovely with all the little tapas bars which we went to every evening and the beautiful hill top villages such as Frigiliana, Mijas and Benalmadena Pueblo for fabulous lunchtime meals. La Barca restaurant along Burriana beach at the bottom of the hill from the property served the best fillet barbecued steak I have ever had, situated on the beach side.
I can imagine all these places to be extremely busy in the summer but for a winter break from our cold, damp weather here, it's perfect.
All in all a very good relaxing time away which is what we all want from our holidays and especially sampling somewhere new.

Nerja
Nice property. Very near a building site which is an issue although the noise and inconvenience from this is limited to be fair. Comfortable and clean. Kitchen nice and well stocked. Rest of house decorated to a weird 1970s vibe. The stable doors to the toilet caused great amusement and a lot of noise in the middle of the night! Staff at home and away very responsive to any problems. Long walk to beach and town up huge hill so no good for any one disabled (also a lot of stairs in property) or with smaller children.
Nice for a week.

Fabulous villa in fabulous Nerja
Lovely villa with fabulous facilities, very clean, very comfortable and very spacious. Terrific pool with a lovely terrace leading to all the bedrooms, perfect. Easy to get to all the sights of the surrounding area and a wonderful supermarket just round the corner. The booking process was so easy and Ian was on hand for all support and guidance. The villa was looked after by delightful housekeeping staff and lovely pool maintenance and gardening. Highly recommend this villa and area of Spain and would be delighted to return. Thank you so much.

Gorgeous Villa
Lovely, clean villa, so much space and extremely comfortable! Nothing was too much trouble and communication was excellent with Ian.
Our only downfall was the hill walk down to the restaurants, beach and shops. It was steeper than expected. But the walk itself was only around 5/10 minutes.
Would definitely recommend this villa, lovely quiet location and stunning inside.

Nice Place
We enjoyed our stay at Villa Golendrina, a nice property very private with a lovely sun drenched pool, it made coming back on a hot afternoon a pleasure to be able to jump into the pool cool off and relax around it and enjoy watching the birds flying into their nest right outside our bedroom window. All arrangements for our transfer to and from the airport were well organised and on time .

Really nice house
This is a lovely detached villa with a great pool at the top of Calle Lucena. Its about 20 mins walk in to town. It is very well equipped and has 3 double bedrooms which can all be split into single beds. The top sun terrace is great. The bathroom door in the main bedroom is quite noisy but very few issues apart from that. Recommended.

Spacious and great pool
The villa is in a quiet location away from the town centre but only about a 10 minute walk to Burriana beach. 5 minute walk to the Mercadona supermarket which is excellent. There is a bus stop at the end of the road that takes you into town so not a problem being away from the centre of town.
The villa itself is spacious and has everything you need. It was very clean. We loved all the different seating areas outside.
The pool was fabulous. Very clean and a very good size.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this villa.

Stunning property.
The villa was very comfortable, it had everything that you could possibly need on holiday, all the rooms were spacious and all had a lovely view of the pool which we all enjoyed. We all had such a lovely time and would all come back to stay again. Very good value for six people, and so near to all amenities.
Stunning!!!!!

Lovely relaxing week
We had a really relaxing week at Villa Golondrinas. Everything you might need was available and we even managed to watch the England World Cup games as both BBC and ITV channels were available (not always the case in some other places we have stayed). Only problem we experienced was the wifi which stopped working halfway through the week but, to be honest, it was great to be completely cut off from social media and work emails for a few days!!! My husband is an avid birdwatcher and he loved seeing various different kinds of birds. There is also a housemartin's nest on the roof just outside one of the bedrooms and we loved watching the parent birds flying to and fro, feeding their little ones. Hope no-one disturbs them before they are ready to fledge!

Home from home
We loved every minute of our two weeks in Nerja. The Villa was perfect for our holiday. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Having our own pool was the icing on the cake and was very refreshing in the afternoon to come back to.
We enjoyed lots of family time and lovely meals on the terraces and by the pool. It was also in a good location for the Burriana beach. The walk back up is a little steep for 4 year old legs but I managed to get up and give my son a piggy back!
All in all a fabulous holiday!

Well-equipped and comfortable villa
We paid a winter visit to Nerja and Villa Golondrinas was ideal for our family of four (with two teenagers). The villa has plenty of space and the well-equipped kitchen was particularly useful. Washer and drier also worked well and the internet was good and trouble-free. It was cold when we arrived but the aircon and several space heaters warmed things up within a day or so. The location is handy for local supermarkets and it's a longer but pleasant walk into town via Burriana Beach. There's no parking right outside but we had no trouble difficulty finding a parking spot a few steps away in the next street. The villa is on a compact plot but well laid out with attractive outside space - we loved the sunny roof terrace with views to the mountains and over rooftops to the sea. The pool looked inviting but it was too cold for anything but the briefest dip. All in all a great place to stay and we hope to return.

Wonderful villa in Nerja
Having stayed in a lot of villas, this was one of the best, very well equipped, everything there you could possibly need. Excellent service from Ian Gillespie at C&G, would definitely go back there.

Wonderful Villa
We have just spent a week in the villa. We had a fabulous holiday. The location is great, the villa exceeded our expectations. Everything was as good as stated. It was very clean. The wifi was good, furnishings and appliances lovely. felt like a home from home. Yes, there is a steep hill back from the beach but it is manageable. If I had to make 1 suggestion it would be to provide a sun umbrella on the roof terrace. Would definately return

Four times
In Casa las Golondrinas again. We have now visited
same house four times. That means, we do like it very much. Only thing we wish to have more is free wifi,
that paygo wifi is not ok. We are ready to pay little more rent with free wifi. Thanks to Ian and co for taking care .

Lovely villa, great location
The villa is well located, a short walk to Nerja town and even closer to Burriana beach. As other reviewers said, the hills are steep and the paths are uneven in parts which might not suit the elderly or toddlers.
The house itself exceeded our expectations , it's actually nicer than the photos. There was ample space for all of us 2 adults and 3 teenagers.
The pool was really lovely and while it is shaded in the morning it's absolutely glorious from midday through afternoon and evening. There is ample space around pool for 4 sun loungers. We didn't use the roof terrace as it was way too hot. The patio from kitchen living area is very nice, again it's bigger than photos lead you to think. It has a canopy which offers lovely shade in afternoon.
The 3 bedrooms are spacious. There are two full bathrooms, one of them is ensuite and while this is large with lovely corner bath, there is also an overhead shower but no shower curtain. The other bathroom has one standalone shower and a shower in the bath. Upstairs there is another toilet room.
All the stuff you need is in kitchen - cutlery dishes pots pans etc. We had some lovely barbecues on the patio during our stay.
Like other reviewers we thought wifi was terrible - would not advise anyone to pay for this service. The 3G coverage is good though so if you can negotiate some roaming bundle with your service provider it is probably a better option.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning.
p.s If you are a runner , the hills can be tough. Try the N-340 out towards Malaga and Maro, less hilly and you can also go off the main road and run down a path with lovely views out to sea

Lovely
We love Nerja and first time going away with our 7 month old. The villa was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The location was great you could either drive or walk to town, the beach and supermarkets and we did quite often. The pool was great and the sun trap on the roof terrace was perfect for sun bathing. I would highly recommend this villa and would happily stay their again.

Really lovely holiday
Really nice villa , a tiny bit of TLC needed but not off putting at all . Everything was as described and beautifully clean . All questions answered instantly , key collection easy and location perfect , just a short walk to beach (longer uphill back lol ) , bars close enough to stroll to but so very peaceful . My only criticism but nothing to really do with villa was wifi was diabolical ... Paid for two weeks , 3 days in still terrible connection , new transmitter fitted , rubbish left on floor , still intermitent connection , was not going to waste anymore time calling about it to provider BUT this as I state was not to do with villa but internet provider . Thank you Ian for smooth holiday .
