Basic but alright

Not exactly as it read online Very basic accommodation but it did the job for the night . Nice dinner and breakfast on the terrace No English spoken but it didn't matter .

L’emplacement, le cadre, les repas, la propreté et la gentillesse de la famille ! Elle était au petit soin avec nous et nous a permis d’organiser comme on le voulais notre séjour chez elle ! Merci encore, on a vraiment adoré notre séjour.

Đôi chút bực mình vì phải ở chung ko có phòng tắm riêng!

Chỗ nghỉ xếp phòng ko đúng với lựa chọn của khách. Khi khách có yk thì trả lời tiền thế chỉ xếp phòng thế thôi😡. Phòng khép kín thì xếp phòng ở chung!

Super verblijf met een hele lieve eigenaar

De homestay eigenaar was heel erg vriendelijk. Ze werkte heel hard en had zelfs een ontbijtje voor ons klaar staan op de laatste dag toen we om half 6 's ochtends moesten vertrekken.

De eerste dag was de homestay overboekt waardoor we in een andere homestay moesten slapen. De kwaliteit hiervan was vele minder dan onze eigen homestay.

Very good

Staff was really nice and helpful, food was great and location was nice with view. Laundry service was nice addition. Accomodation and price matched each other.

Mattresses were quite hard, but I guess thats really usual in this area. Soundproofing in the rooms wasn't good and you could easily hear other guests and roosters outside, earplugs are mandatory, if you have problems with sleeping. Bathrooms could have been cleaner, there were some trash on the floor left from previous guests and sink faucet were covered with lime. Anyway we liked our stay and those things didn't bother our stay too much.

Hard beds, but a real homestay.

Dinner was nice. You can rent bikes. Prices are very reasonable. The kids are super cute. You pay all drinks and everything at the end.

Beds are hard. Showers weren't really clean. Owner is shy and doesn't talk much. It was pretty okay here, but wouldn't give it a 9.

A peaceful homestay

This homestay is located in a relatively peaceful area of the village. It can be accessed from the main Boat Station by taking a boat across the lake to the eastern dock and walking for 15 minutes. The room is very clean, spacious (for a homestay), and well cared for. The main common area affords a good view of the farming delta to the W and valley to the E. All meals are available at a very reasonable cost and, as with most homestays, is plentiful with a variety. The staff are not always around but can sometimes be found in the cooking area. This homestay is an incredible value for what they are charging.

We experienced a significant issue with arranging breakfast and an early morning ride to the boat station to catch our bus on the last morning. Staffs' understanding of english is not the greatest (and I certainly wouldn't expect it to be - it is Vietnam) so I sent a message through bookings.com and had a local guide we hired communicate and confirm the arrangements. Long story kept short, we didn't get breakfast that we paid extra for, had to wake up the staff and ended up walking most of the ways to the closest boat dock. In all fairness, just before we got to the boat station, homestay staff came along with 2 motorcycles - drove us to the boat and boated us across the lake to catch our bus in plenty of time. Just didn't need the added stress early in the morning. Really, the staff (2 ladies) are wonderful, just be careful when making plans.

loved it!

I stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it so much! it’s such a friendly place. The family is great, the food is good, the location is nice and I just so enjoyed the stunning surroundings. The other people staying here were nice. It’s cheap too. Would def recommend coming to Ba Be Lake and staying here if you are craving nature and authenticity.

While I was there there were quite some weddings/karaoke parties going on… I think timing-wise I was a bit unlucky. And yes the mattresses are hard but that’s fine by me. Also the place was a bit hard to reach with public transport. I managed to book a transfer from Hanoi through Mr Linh. I managed to get to Ha Giang afterwards by motor taxi, which i can highly recommend because the route is so beautiful. Ask the homestay for the possibilities here.

Beautiful view and delicious food

Friendly and sweet host, she helped us with everything and has a really kind family. The location is perfect and the view over the rice fields and the lake beautiful. Delicious food, the dinner was so good!! Good atmosphere:)

The bed is too short for tall persons and the matrasse was hard. The mirror and the bathroom fixture were not that clean. There were two weddings at the time we stayed there and it was really really loud from 7am until 11pm.

It's a really quiet and beautiful place with lovely hosts. You can eat the breakfast and dinner at the homestay (we didn't try the lunch) it's really good food prepared by the family. Quality/Price ratio is really high

A little bit noisy on the evening (really thin walls) but it was ok for us.

Sober homestay with friendly staff

Sober homestay with a nice view over the valley and lake. The staff is friendly, but a bit prone to miscommunication due to the language barrier.

The food was a bit simple, mattress was quite hard. But it is what you get for the price you pay. A price list would be helpful to inform guests as I wasn't aware that I needed to pay for a coffee during breakfast that was included.

The value price to what I got was unbeatable. Nice deck with a good view. Pancakes for breakfast was good too.The bed was really hard, but for me is this not a big thing. I sleeped well. In the morning the public loudspeaker announcements woke me up quiet early. Must be arround 6 or half past 6. But nothing the homestay could change. I would stay again.

The place is not like in the photos, when we came there they said that they don't have the room that we booked for 3 nights, but the host was very nice and really tried to help us find solution. The room was very small.

Friendly, family homestay. Beautiful location with a terrace overlooking rice fields and surrounding mountains. Clean, reasonable priced breakfast, close to local shops and restaurants.

The bed is quite hard and walls quite thin so you may hear other guests.
