The cottage is in a quiet location in walking distance of places of interest. It has an imaginative use of space and interesting touches. The bed was very comfortable with good bedlinen.
We found it a bit small and rather cold when we arrived. The heating did improve matters eventually but we were pleased to be only there for two nights. The dogs next door were very noisy, fortunately not at night!
There is no outdoor space except for the driveway.
Compared with other accommodations we have used on this trip, we feel this was rather overpriced. This made the situation more of a disappointment!

very cute cottage
Some points to note: We got a message from Stayz saying check in was at 3. Then after we messaged the host, who said it was 12 noon. A difference. Then when we got there and started cooking, or trying to, the gass stove wouldn't turn on and there was no hot water. We messaged the host, who replied within 5 min, that we might need to "change the cylinger over". We've never had gass before and it was dark and raining. Mmmm There were two cylinters and after trying a few dials we got it to work. But really ...... I felt like giving up. Other small points, the light over the stove didn't work and there was a small leak from the loo (on the side of the shower, you noticed it most in the moring. No smell, might just be water. But these are very small points, I mention them as it was an expensive rental. Otherwise it is very very nice and as described. hj

Un welcomed Guest
First I arrived and the cottage door required a code to get in which was not provided in the email sent welcoming me. The owner called me after waiting an half an hour with the code. Secondly an animal (opossum) woke me up the first night. On the second day in one areas of the cottage there was a bad smell. During the evening the smell got worst. At 2:30 am the animal woke me up borrowing into the cottage. In addition the smell in the cottage was so bad I was coughing and had to open the windows to air the cottage out(-1 degree that night). That morning I packed up and left the property. I message the owner concerning the issues but she has never responded.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had and I was very, very disappointed with the whole situation.

Great stay in a well located position
Stayed 5 nights at the Baker's Cottage and had a great stay. Bed was super comfortable and allowed for a great night's rest.
Just a 10 minute walk in to town (at a slow pace).
Room has everything you need for your stay, just bring your groceries if you want to cook at home, but there are many, many eating options for breakfast, lunch or dinner in town.
Beware that there is no roof on the bathroom, so, err, whatever you do there is heard in the rest of the place!
Highly recommended

Beautifully presented cosy cottage
We had a lovely stay at Bakers cottage. It’s perfectly set up for guests, with lovely furnishings and little touches that make the stay extra special. Location is perfect with only a short walk to restaurants/bars and Armidale is a beautiful country town that is well worth a visit. Would highly recommend, thank you!

A short stay with my kelpie
A cosy cottage not far from the cafes and pubs of Armidale. I had my dog with me and he loved the fire at night. He also liked the dog friendly gin tasting at Dobson’s distillery and wine tasting at Peterson’s. We will certainly be back!

Cosy comfort
Loved rocking up here after a long wet drive. Welcoming, bread divine (sought out the bakery it came from for breakfast next day), bed oh-so-comfortable. Great start to our within-border road trip. Thanks Kate.

The Baker's Cottage Armidale.
We found the Baker's Cottage very comfortable, very clean and in a good location. Everything we needed was provided with good inclusions.Kate even provided a comprehensive listing of eating places which we found very helpful. The location, in the centre of the Heritage walk, is beautiful. The old houses, their gardens and amazing old trees were a joy to behold. The walking was relatively level which was ideal for our 12 1/2 year old dog and its 78 year old owner. The commercial centre is only a few minutes away. An added bonus was the huge oak tree covering the driveway which provided shelter for our car in the hailstorm we experienced. A very enjoyable stay.

Two night stay
Was difficult to find the property as the number was hidden, would be good to have the number up on the wall. There were electrostatic sparks off the fireplace and a heavy glove would have been appropriate to have as the handle was very hot. It was very cosy and the bed was super comfortable.

Perfect Romantic Getaway
We absolutely loved our stay. Kate was an excellent host and very prompt and answering any questions. We were welcomed with the property already toasty warm and a delicious loaf of fresh baked bread. It was exactly what we were after and would love to come back. Excellent location - just a short walk to town centre. Kate also gave excellent recommendations for places to go for breakfast, dinner and drinks.
Thanks again Kate. We highly recommend you.

A great little cottage
A lovely little cottage presented perfectly. Heating on when we arrived, fresh bread and chocolates on the bench. It is actually perfect and stack of chopped wood meant that we could also light a romantic fire in the fireplace. Highly recommended and a short walk to the main street (in warmer weather that would be great).

Beautiful cottage.
Our stay at Bakers Cottage was very pleasant. The decor and comfort were great. Very comfy bed with great pillows ! The 4.00 pm check in is a bit inconvenient, we had to fill in over six hours before we could check in.

Sweet little place to stay
On a freezing cold evening it was delightful to arrive at the
Bakers Cottage in Armidale. Property has been given a very good makeover. Very close to the main street of Armidale for shops and cafes, fast foods etc. There was a pretty little fireplace in the lounge but unfortunately no wood to stoke up the fire. However the electric heater did the trick and there were also knee rugs available and needed on that cold night. Bed was very comfortable. No heating in the bathroom which would have made it a bit more comfortable on that cold morning. Lots of little extras with milk, bread, porridge etc. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks.
