The listing and photos were spot on. The home was easily located and immaculate. There were 3 bedrooms upstairs; 1 extremely large with AC & ceiling fan, a queen bed, 2 twin beds & 3/4 bath. Another bedroom with queen bed & AC, The 3rd BR upstairs did not have AC but had a closet & ceiling fan. We did not AC in that room & it was very comfortable . There was a 4th BR on the main level w/o AC & it was not needed. The LR had a large leather coach, TV & plenty of books & some games. The kitchen was well equipped and updated. There is a beautiful full bathroom with laundry on the main level. The front porch was delightful too with chairs to sit out and admire the wildflower gardens. It was close to a wedding we were attending. We would return hereand highly recommend it

This lovely property was perfect for our month long multi-generational stay. It was fully equipped with everything we needed to accommodate living needs of a two year old to seventy year olds. The house is inviting and very comfortable and its village setting was perfect. The hosts are wonderful!

We spent 3 days here to ride the LVRT which is just around the corner from the house. The house was super clean, comfortable, a great place for an extended family or friend group to stay. Kitchen was well stocked, updated appliances, tons of towels in the bathroom, fast WiFi, nice dining room table for meals or games. We were pleasantly surprised to find some AC as it wasn't mentioned in the listing and it was a pretty hot, muggy stretch of weather. I only dinged a star as the house could use a little TLC - a few holes in the walls upstairs, could use some paint, stairs to the porch could use a little work, but really that's all super minor. Having the garage to store our bikes was awesome. We didn't communicate with the host much as all the provided directions were straight forward. Given it rained and the trail was closed for a day, we drove to Stowe to hang out. Short, easy drive. Imagine this would be a great place to stay in the winter as well. Would totally stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is spacious, in a quiet location with lots of windows to let in the fresh air. Kitchen is well stocked with updated appliances. Towels are plenty on hand and are super soft. Beds are comfortable and the front porch is great to enjoy your morning coffee or just hang out with family/friends.

We enjoyed our stay a lot and wished we planned a longer stay. Plenty of comfy beds, really well stocked up kitchen with updated appliances and lots of very thought about details. Plenty of books for all ages to read and relax. Nice small drive to stowe and food and groceries. Louie is a great host. Highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed two months away from the Florida heat, hiking in the cool Vermont mountains and biking and walking on the rail trail. Side trips to Burlington, the Champlain islands, Montreal, St. Johnsbury, Montpelier, and Middlebury. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. And a garage for the car and bikes. Perfect.

When we arrived it smelled very musty. After opening all of the windows and being there for an hour we both had headaches, a common symptom of mold. We were planning to stay 2.5 months, but ended up leaving that night.
The host was responsive and we were able to negotiate getting refunded for 1.5 months. Getting a full refund would have required proving there is mold in the property, which is a lengthy process.

The check in process was not up to date. The instructions on how to access the garage was not accurate. Other than that everthing met our needs for our stay!!!

This was a nice house for a weekend getaway with friends. There was plenty of room in the house and the larger porch made for a great hang out place. It is close to Stowe and all that there is to do there.
There isn't a ton to do in the town itself but it's a quaint downtown with areas to walk and nice views close by.

We very much enjoyed our stay — me, hubby, son and girlfriend. Extremely comfortable furniture for lounging. We figure we’ll invite Giannis Antetokoumpo to join us next time and the couch will accommodate him just fine. A few quirks. We could not locate the trash cans outdoors (sorry), and the lights flickered a few times for no apparent reason. Otherwise, great stay! Thanks.

Great location for skiing!
We stayed the weekend with another family and it had all of the conveniences we needed. Large enough for our two families. Everything from bedrooms to kitchen to living area were a good match for our needs. We skied Stowe during our stay and wished there was more time to simply hang out at the house and enjoy its coziness!

Perfect Vermont Vacation
This large, comfortable house was well equipped for cooking meals for a large group. Beds, linens and towels were all of excellent quality. All the appliances were up to date and everything was as described in the listing. We had great weather and conditions for skiiing at Stowe and nordic skiing at the Trapp Family Lodge. We also enjoyed a car-free day by skiing along the rail trail to the Lost Nation Brewery for a delicious lunch (thanks to the excellent guidebook left by the hosts!) Communication was very responsive--although there were no serious issues at all.
This place would be just as enjoyable in the summer with a great front porch and access to biking on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Many thanks to Louie for a much needed, relaxing vacation!

Great rental in Hyde Park!
We enjoyed our stay at this Hyde Park home. It was perfect for my husband and I and another couple for our first visit to Vermont. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the wonderful front porch. The location was close to many places we had on our itinerary to visit and we loved the beautiful small town of Hyde Park. We would stay here again if we ever get the chance to travel to Vermont.

Perfect Location for New England Leaf-peeping
Wow! Fantastic home with all the amenities and tons of beds. Loved the front porch for early morning sitting. Beds were comfortable, and so clean. Kitchen is awesome. Only one bedroom is downstairs, so if you have older people know the stairs to other bedrooms are pretty steep. We were all 50+, so this would not be a big deal to others. We all would stay here again. Loved the town, proximity to Stowe, and walking the streets and nearby trail.

The home was originally built in 1865 and has all the charm and "sounds" of an older, historic home, but with all the amenities of needed to make us feel like we were still living in today's world.
The floors hade a very quaint creak, so you could tell when anyone might be walking around, and the beds and couches/chairs were all comfortable and well maintained.
The only thing that was a bit concerning were the cobwebs around the property and inside a few cupboards. We assumed it was simply from not many travelers over the time period with Covid restrictions, but it would have been nice to have them brushed away before our arrival. All other items, like towels, blankets, pillows, etc were fresh and cleaned, as was the house freshly swept and vacuumed.
The owners provided a great little gift basket and information about the region. Some of the documentation needs to be updated due to changes in local establishments during Covid, but overall, it was a delight to be in and use their home. We would definitely stay at this location in the future. It is close enough to everything we wanted to do in the area...especially in Stowe, but without all the traveler ambiance. It really felt like coming home to relax!!

The house was delightful and perfect for our 3 generation family. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked with cookware and dishes. The dining room allowed the 5 of us to enjoy our pandemic-cautionary take-out meals with a lovely ambience and the great room feel the our evening free time extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed the excellent wifi service and walking the trail and Main Street

Amazing stay at Hyde Park
Louie was a wonderful host! Detailed communication and very responsive. He even left us few Vermont treats as we were coming there for our wedding. The house is very spacious and in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of space to park too. The drive up there is very scenic. Lots of restaurants and trails nearby. It had all amenities like a washer/dryer, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Will definitely stay here again whenever I go back up to Elmore.

Our trip to Hyde Park
My husband and I visited Vermont to do some hiking. Our stay in Hyde Park was peaceful and relaxing. Whenever I emailed Louie I quickly received a response. Thanks for the great food and hiking recommendations - a special shout out to the Sterling Pond Trail - it was our favorite. Louie’s hospitality is first rate.

Great house, quaint town.
The house was great! Very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the quality of the kitchenware was a bit better than other places I’ve stayed. We went for a beautiful walk along the rail trail at sunset. The host was super helpful with lots of questions beforehand. Recommended!
