The cottage and surrounding neighborhood were lovely. Close to all the towns but not the crowds. Beautiful natural setting and everything we needed to feel at home.

Perfect location to enjoy the area from. Cottage is lovely and cosy. Beds comfy, sitting room cosy and having three bathrooms a great bonus. Fantastic views from the upstairs bedrooms and the village is stunning.
Would recommend the cottage highly and would love to return.
We were very lucky with the weather which meant we saw the village at its best as well as surrounding locations but our only negative feedback for a stay in the area, which has nothing to do with this cottage specifically, is that The Lamb Inn in the village. It wasn't what we expected having heard about it on a previous visit to the area but having failed to make it there that time. It seems it has changed hands and to be honest the staff were not overly customer focussed. We have a few tales to tell from our evening meal there!!! We all said that our meals were tasty which is the main aim, but the place was lacking atmosphere, there was a massive TV with football on in the bar area, which I guess is great if that's what you want and they actually switched off the lights in one section after the table based there left.....time to leave cue I guess except it was only 930.....to be honest it's worth going further afield to find a more cosy experience. A shame as people had spoken so highly of it. Still it was entertaining for the wrong reasons and definitely didn't spoil a lovely weekend.

A lovely English cottage in a typical Cotswold village. The cottage is very comfortable and extremely well equipped with good outside space when the weather is warm. We would return and would certainly recommend.

We really like the Great Rissington area. House it very cute. We only stayed 2 nights, but I could see it being used for more nights to truly unwind. We actually didn’t realize there was a “secret garden” past the gate in the first back yard until our second day. We enjoyed just sitting in the backyard and watching the clouds go by (we had amazing weather). Our only negative is one of the bathroom toilets didn’t work which was ok because there were only 4 of us and 3 bathrooms. Also, sad we didn’t ever get to eat at the lamb inn. If you want to eat there make a reservation. The first night we tried to eat there at 8:00 pm and the cook had left. The second night they were completely book. So had to drive 15 minutes to dinner, when a simple walk to dinner would have been so nice.
I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

I wanted to stay in a quintessential English cottage in the Cotswolds and this was definitely it. Well appointed and comfortable with modern bathrooms and conveniences. The host was quick to respond to any questions and provided detailed information in his house manual about the area and suggested things to do. We walked to the local pub/inn "The Lamb Inn" for a meal and a Guinness. Good food and friendly locals. The cottage is also close to the public walking paths for a scenic stroll. We loved it and highly recommend.

Easterleigh felt like the quintessential Cotswold cottage - full of charm and character. Great Rissington is a lovely village with great access to all the central Cotswolds’ ‘big hitters’. We took Sunday lunch at the local Lamb Inn, which was excellent. Our group of six - two grandparents, two parents, two kids <10 were very comfortable for a week, and would happily return. Thanks, Mark!

The property is attractive to look at, spacious and cosy. It has some disappointing shortcomings, for example - the Wi-Fi password listed in the email communication and in the welcome brochure was incorrect which necessitated contacting the local agent. She supplied the correct one confirming she had informed the owner previously. No wash tabs available and limited dishwasher tabs, only enough logs for two days during our stay ( where do you obtain logs and wash tabs late on Christmas Eve). The remote control of the heating via the local agent was not an ideal situation especially as we couldn’t light a fire when required. Although when the heating was on the cottage was warm and cosy. The cottage shows a Rayburn but you are not encouraged to use it due to the high cost of electricity. We are strangers to the area and found the instructions for disposal of waste some what ambiguous, plus the box for waste paper appeared to be missing. It would be useful if a new and up to date instruction brochure was provided for all current equipment and waste collection days. The cottage would be excellent for a summer stay but needs fine tuning for winter. The local agent was excellent and went out of her way to help before and during our stay.

Cotswolds dreams came true !
The most beautiful property with all modern conveniences close enough to be easily accessible yet far enough away to make the town seem magical. We enjoyed all the information that Mark sent to us in advance of our stay. The house was immaculate. We really enjoyed the e bikes we rented from Cotswold ebikes and the beautiful homes and churches that were just right out the front door.

The Christmas break that was moved to June.
This is a lovely property, but more suitable for four or five people. It was built when property’s were smaller. We spent a lot of time in the garden, as the weather was hot! A umbrella to have some shade would have been nice, and some tall glasses so we could have had a long drink, there were only very small glasses. Three bathrooms were a big plus though, and lots of hot water. Very good pub, The Lamb, which we went to twice, only a five minute walk away. Mark was very accommodating moving our break from Christmas, when we were told we couldn’t travel, to June. I can see why he brought the property, the Cotswolds are beautiful.

Celebrating Cotswolds & Family!
We really enjoyed the feeling of Easterleigh Cottage and the neighborhood was lovely with sheep & flowers!
We not only celebrated our 50th anniversary, but also our son-in-law’s birthday with a chocolate cake that our 16-yr. old GrandGirl baked with yummy ice cream from the Coop!
We also celebrated Fathers Day a bit early with Chinese food at Burford Inn.
It would have been helpful to have instructions on calling a friend in Surrey. When we lived here, there was a section in phone book about that, but couldn’t find anything there, & the manager didn’t respond to our phone request to call us.
Also, you would like to know that the baseboards in the downstairs shower aren’t sealed & are pulling away from the wall. My engineer-woodworking guys think the shower can get water behind the baseboards & rot the wood.
All in all, we thank you for a fun time in our beloved Cotswolds!
We’d certainly come again!

Great Cottage Great Location
Stayed at Easterleigh Cottage April 2019 with my wife, daughter and family. It lived up to all our expectations and more. Quite location but a pleasant 5 minute walk to an excellent pub with restaurant, The Lamb Inn. The cottage was warm and comfortable, clean and well kempt. With an easy short drive to Bourton-on-the-Water and accessible to all of the Cotswold's. The kitchen has all you will need cooker, Aga, fridge/freezer, dish washer, washer and dryer. Bedrooms are well appointed with plenty of bath & shower rooms. Highly recommended, who definitely book again for a trip to the Cotswold

Easterleigh cottage
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the cottage! It’s on a quiet road with no through traffic! The village itself is very quaint and everyone is so friendly! The cottage had lots of room for our family of four, including my elderly grandmother. Do it was nice that she had a bedroom and shower room downstairs! The house was nice and warm and we even lit the fire one night. The house is well equipped and has everything you will need. We ate at the lamb inn every night and the food was yummy! Highly recommend! There’s a co-op market 5 mins away if you need any supplies. Overall had a great time!

A lovely cottage in a great setting.
Clean and very well equipped, with comfortable beds, and plenty of room. Excellent provision of linen with good towels. Very quiet location, but fairly close to Bourton on the Water. Good bathrooms with efficient showers, and hot water. We experienced a problem with the central heating. When the weather turned quite chilly we could not initially get any heating as there were no up-to-date instructions. Once we eventually found a way to start it working it was nice and warm.
Altogether a very enjojable stay.

Lovely Break
We stayed at Easterleigh cottage for a week and had a lovely time. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. There were 7 of us in our party and all had plenty of room. It is a lovely setting with a great pub 5 minutes walk away.
The situation is excellent being close to Bourton on the Water and Broadway.
We are very happy to recommend this cottage.
Thank you Mark and Lorraine.

A wonderful week in the Costwolds
We just spent a very nice week in Easterleigh cottage. It's really beautiful and very comfortable for a family.
We appreciated the advice in Mark's book. We visited many typical villages (Bourton-on-the water, Bibury, Burford, Stow, Broadway and its tower and Chipping Campden). We also spent a nice day in the Cotswold Farm Park with our granddaughter. And the Lamb Inn, just at the end of the street, is really a nice pub ; we went to the « Steak Wednesday » and it was really good value.
No doubt we're going to remember Mark's website in case we go again in the Cotswolds or elsewhere. All his houses make us envious.
Thank you for these wonderful holidays !

Lovely weekend in a peaceful village setting.
We spent a long weekend in the area for a wedding and the cottage was perfect for our stay. Directions to the cottage were spot on, the local pub was just up the road and we were lucky to have a beautiful sunny weekend and so were able to sit in the garden much of the time.

Excellent Property
We enjoyed a relaxing week in a beautiful cottage. We appreciated the quiet location and well presented accommodation that was perfect for our visit. There was plenty to do in the area and we enjoyed a fabulous day at the Costwold Animal Park. Parking in Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold can get busy at weekends but the villages are well worth a visit. The cottage is also within easy driving distance of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Oxford for day trips. There are plenty of facilities, as well as museums, tea shops and supermarkets in Bourton but we could then retreat to the cottage at the end of the day. A lovely holiday to be recommended.

Very well provisioned and comfortable cottage
We stayed as a family of five with three adult children and a 90 year grand parent. Very comfortably accommodated in this very well provisioned cottage. The location is as good as gets in the Cotswolds for ease of driving from London and access to all the sights and amenities of the area. Mark is a first rate host. Very responsive and helpful.

Lovely cottage in good location
The cottage is in a small village which makes it very quiet and peaceful.
The accommodation is cosy and relaxing, with everything you need.
Lorraine who manages the place was very helpful and on hand if needed, although we did not need to call on her. The towels and general fittings were of high quality.
We had a meal in the Lamb pub, only a few minutes away, which we enjoyed very much.
Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Great, relaxing spot in the Cotswolds!
Our family of five (kids aged 13, 10, and 8) had a wonderful experience with this property. We stayed here June 28-July 5, 2016. The cottage is just as depicted in the pictures -- lovely, charming, and comfortable. It looks like it belongs in a movie set! We had everything we needed. The supermarket in Stow-on-the-Wold is about 12 minutes away. The Lamb Inn is a 2-minute walk and is a wonderful place to dine. Bourton-on-the-Water is about a 6-minute drive and has many restaurants and shops. Wi-Fi and washer/dryer work very well. We took day trips from here to Stratford-upon-Avon, Stonehenge, Highclere Castle, Oxford, Blenheim Palace, and Sudeley Castle. We also enjoyed quiet, relaxing mornings and evenings in the cottage. The gardens in the back were a nice surprise -- larger than we expected. The only slight negatives were endearing ones. (I had to learn to duck my head under very short door frames, and we learned not to walk on the bottom two creaking stairs.) The owner was very pleasant to work with and always responded to our inquiries in a timely fashion during the booking process and leading up to our trip. This property was exactly what we were hoping it would be, and we enthusiastically give it our highest recommendation.

Beautiful Spacious cottage with lovely features and cosy log fire.
The cottage had plenty of room for the 7 of us,for our family get together. It was very clean and had a well equipped kitchen including a good coffee maker. The cottage had lovely features through out including a lovely log fire , which along with the central heating kept us nice and cosy even in January . It was close by to other popular villages which were nice to visit.

Perfect Cottage and Village
We had a wonderful time at Eastereleigh Cottage! There were 7 adults and the sleeping arrangements were perfect, the bathrooms worked out well and we felt there was plenty of room for all us. The cottage itself is just gorgeous! Exactly what you would picture for an old English cottage. We walked to the pub for dinner, walked up the street to the beautiful church, and had easy access to all the nearby villages. The location is perfect. We had no trouble parking the car in front. We had a couple small issues- ants, broken chair, and power outage (that was probably our fault) and we contacted the manager Lorraine, and she took care of things immediately. We only wish we had more time! My hubby knocked his head many times on the low doorways, but that's what makes the cottage so charming! I plan to share this property to all my travel friends. All 7 of us agree, it couldn't have been better!

First time visitors
I loved being out in the country after a stay in busy London. Place was just as pictured and described. The Lamb Inn was fantastic, friendly, food excellent (except for one curry vegetable dish ). We ate there several time and just walked home! Allowed for a relaxed evening and no worries about the wine you had with dinner. The cottage was great. The third bathroom on kitchen level IS small but doable. The glass roof over dinning table.... great. We had perfect weather for the total stay. One morning it was a little grey and a few sprinkles. The door heights proved to be a challenge to our taller husbands. Mine is 6'2" and the other guy is 6'1. After a couple of bumps they remembered to duck! The information about leaving the key in the front door while unloading (due to wind blowing it shut) was right on. This makes me think that it has blown shut on people before and caused a problem. Glad for the head up on that point. We ate out all most all the time so can't really evaluate the kitchen much. Glasses stored in cabinet by kitchen table was not very handy. We spent our time in the dinning room because there was more space. I thought the bedrooms were great along with two other bathrooms. The master bedroom had a huge tub, shower and I loved all the morning sunshine that came in the windows. I could have just come to the cottage and spent my total trip there. We walked, talked to the neighbors, took pictures, ate, drank and did day trips to other villages we wanted to see. I would highly recommend the cottage. Mark was very helpful about information, reservations and follow up. The four star rating is more based on having 6 adults at this cottage. If it were only 4 adults I would have given a 5 star. 6 just made it a little cramped. Would visit again!

Lovely cottage, beautiful surroundings
Our family holiday was made all the better by the lovely cottage and its facilities. Our party was seven adults and there was plenty of space for us all. Having one of the bedrooms on the ground floor with a shower room was prefect for my elderly parents. The cottage was warm, clean and inviting. We had a very enjoyable meal at the local pub, The Lamb Inn. The village is very quiet, which is great, but other villages and tourist attractions were easily accessed.
I would fully recommend it and hope to return myself.

Perfect home away from home. And more.
Easterleigh Cottage is a very warm, comfortable and homely place. Wonderful position to base yourself in the Cotswalds and has some lovely walks starting from the house. The local pub has great food and service. Beds are comfy and kitchen is very well equipped. Shower pressure upstairs could be better. There was 6 adults and a baby in our party and the house more than accommodated us in style and comfort. Lorraine (agent) was very helpful re any queries. Highly recommend this cottage.

All very well organised, with a lot of detail. It was warm in spite of cold weather and in particular it was very well cleaned. It was a great advantage to have a bath/shower for each couple plus a small bedroom for a baby with cot and highchair supplied. Very nice to have a proper dining room as well as a table in the kitchen for breakfast.
10.0
This is an excellent, well equipped cottage for families or friends. Three shower / bathrooms allow the right privacy when sharing. Although the sitting and dining rooms are not large, they are adequate. The kitchen provides a variety of equipment for cooking, if you are that way inclined! The property is well maintained, although the first floor bathrooms need some small redecoration on the ceilings, in order to maintain the overall appearance. The Lamb Inn is within easy walking distance and has a good menu, the dining room is spacious, six of us had Sunday lunch which was well presented and satisfying. The good sized garden is a bonus for children, although be aware there is also access to the road behind the property which is not child-proof. There are many places to eat in nearby Bourton on the Water, we would also recommend the Coach & Horses. Be aware that many do not serve meals on Sunday evenings, of those that do, we would also recommend the Italian restaurant.

Recently stayed at Easterleigh Cottage to celebrate mums 60th Birthday. Never been to the Cotwold's before and Great Rissington was everything we had ever imagined it to be like. Stunning surroundings, views and villages.
The cottage was simply beautiful! Immaculately cleaned, fresh linen and towels awaiting us, more space than we knew what to do with and very comfortable. Bright and spacious dinning room to enjoy meals as a family, lovely log fire to snuggle up in front of in the evening and a very pretty garden with various nooks and crannies to explore and enjoy bbq's in on a lovely summers day.
Couldn't have asked for a better cottage!! Will definitely stay again!! Highly recommend
