We loved our stay at Jake’s place! There were seven of us who had the place for 3 months as a ski lease and we’d come and go throughout the season. Jake was great to communicate with, very quick and helpful. The cabin was cozy and a perfect fit for our group. We’d definitely recommend it!

I could not be happier with my stay at this wonderful property! From the start communication with the owner was easy and friendly! He always responded to my questions and sent very nice messages and even let me check in a bit early since the cleaners were finished.
When we arrived the house was immaculate and warm! The heater cranks which is sooo important for a stay in the winter! The thermostat was easy to use and mostly I turned the head down a bit since I run warm and he house is well insulated it stayed really warm and comfy.
The beds were really comfortable. I slept in the downstairs queen as well as the queen I’m the loft. My son and his friends slept in the room with the bunk beds and they said the beds were really comfortable too. There are a TON of extra blankets if anyone needs them. Along with lots of pillows and my girlfriend came for one night with her two young sons and she found an extra mattress for one of her boys to use since they stayed in the loft. Calling it a loft doesn’t do it justice since it’s a very large bedroom with its own full bathroom.
Both bathrooms were spotless and had great water pressure. The house has plenty of towels for use which was great for us since I was with teenagers and they seem to think they can’t reuse towels!! The washer/dryer came in handy too!
The hot tub is clean and doesn’t smell weird like some hot tubs do. It’s really large and actually hot too with jets if you want or use those.
The kitchen is stocked well with everything and even has a couple cast iron pans and bamboo spatulas which are my favorite!! The dishwasher works great and is quiet. It was an absolute joy to have an amazing coffee maker as well as things like salt and pepper, a few basic spices, and even a salad spinner!
The living and dining rooms are large and inviting! It was really nice to have a HUGE dining room table that we could all sit/eat around.
The location is really easy to get to and being on a main road was really convenient as well. The very slight incline of the driveway made me so happy as some homes in Tahoe have extremely steep driveways which stress me out I’m the snow. The driveway is large and the very slight incline made me feel much safer having to pull in and out of it in the snow.
I could not be happier with this comfy, clean, and inviting home and staying here was definitely part of what made for a great long weekend in North Lake Tahoe!!

We loved our stay here and we were lucky enough to get snow before and during our stay. The house was perfect size for our two families and 4 kids and we all enjoyed the private hot tub.

complaints: 1) advertisement is false, as it says there is TV on the amenity listing. Tv present, but can’t be used without connecting to a HDMI to your computer. Should be told this in the add, and should say it is the only way to get TV. I would not have booked it if I knew that. When I wrote to him about that, he said I should find computer with HDMI, or should get a chromecast. why should one have to go shop for that and spend the money on vacation, and he should warn people in the advertising. I had 86 year olds there and needed to have TV, as they would not be out hiking like younger people, . They were often upset about that for a whole week. The owner said they cut off the cable and the dish because they (the owner) was not using it, but what about guests?Seems like they need considered if he wants vacation rentals. 2) The toilet on the second floor leaks and when someone flushes above, the water leaks from the ceiling fan in the first floor bathroom and onto anyone on the toilet. happened a few times and is gross hygiene issue. 3) The patio doors are very hard to open and close and need greased or fixed. 4) There was garbage left out from the prior stay and it was bags with smelly beer cans and other stuff. The garbage bin outside was locked and could not be opened. Turned out the bin full and garbage was not picked up cause the Yes sign was taken off. So we left our garbage outside with the prior garbage. Looks bad, is smelly and and dangerous with bears around. 6) inaccurate info on passes for community club. None were waiting as told and when we got there they said there was none, and it cost 12$ a day. Said it is the same for anyone, not just vacation guests, so the advertising was off there. 7) The beds were very high up and dangerous for senior citizens to get in and out of. The owner should tell guests about that ahead of time. Especially after he knew I would have seniors there. One almost got injured and fell trying to get off the bed. 8) Many electrical outlets did not work. so could not use many of the plugs. 9) The hot tub fuse blew after having it on a few minutes. He did tell me where the fuse was and we put it back on, but that info should be put out before-hand. 10) The frying pans looked very old and were scratched up a lot. Made unhesitant to cook in it. 11) The barbecue could not be used and is part of the advertising. It needed scrubbed badly and one would not want to put any meat on it. It needed a big scrubbing

Wonderful warm and comfortable place in a perfect location. Views from the back deck are beautiful and so relaxing. The interior was very clean and every little thing thought of. Appreciated the different coffee maker options. Beds were all super comfy. Excellent location, close to Truckee, hiking and a private beach area on Donner Lake. We felt like it was our home away from home - highly recommend.
