Cottage as described, lovely quiet location in a beautiful part of Wales. Carole the cottage manager was very helpful and communication was first class. Thoroughly recommended!

Wonderful large cottage with huge garden which was perfect for the dog to explore. Fabulous master bedroom with vaulted ceiling & mezzanine office/ sitting room with beautiful views across the garden & to the costal cliffs.perfect for walking both inland & on the coastal path but also a short drive to St Davids.

We had a wonderful week here, i have to say the phitos really dont do this property justice. Absolutely lovely location with the coastal path just a 10 min walk away from the front door. So well located to explore this beautiful part of the world, shitesands beach a 10 min drive away and st Davids very vlose for ammenities should you need them. Beautiful scenery and lovely big garden perfect for children to really stretch their legs and have a good play. The conservatory was an added bonus on days when the weather wasn't so kind. Lovely spacious property with everything you might need. Comfy beds, lovely showers and clean throughout. We shall definitely be considering another stay in the future.

We thought the cottage was lovely and perfect for our family. It was, clean, well equipped and had everything you needed for a home from home stay. The location was stunning and perfect for a relaxing stay. We will definitely return.

As always the property suited our needs perfectly.
Warm and snug during nighttime storms and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
A shame we couldn't recycle a lot of the rubbish. Glass was taken to Whitesands and the rest taken home.
Hope to return for a 4th visit.

Beautiful property and location. Some of the furniture is a bit tired and cleaning could have been better.
Poor communication from property manager who tried to charge for damage not done by us without any prior investigation or communication with us.

Just back from a fantastic fortnight in this lovely, spacious and comfortable cottage. The kitchen’s well equipped, we appreciated the two bathrooms, there’s a large garden and it’s in a peaceful location close to Whitesands beach and St Davids. The manager was very quick to respond when we contacted her. Our only minor quibbles are that it would have been nice to have a barbecue and a washing line outdoors to hang wetsuits and swimming costumes to dry and perhaps a bedroom mirror but we’d definitely go back (please!)

Gorgeous property with gorgeous views of countryside. Really feel like you're away from it all. All amenities great. Beds and bedding really top quality and comfortable. Huge garden, enjoyed sitting outside in evening and property faces the setting sun which is a big plus.

Third visit, love this cottage!
So looked forward to returning to Ysgubor Trehysbys and it felt a home from home immediately. It's a perfect base for Whitesands and Traeth Llyfn as well as St David's. We loved evenings on the terrace and in the conservatory. And the brilliant wet rooms after beach days! Thank you too to Carole, the property manager for being so accommodating.

Peaceful location
We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and found it a perfect location for exploring Pembrokeshire with lovely walks close by plus so peaceful to relax after a busy day.
However we were disappointed with the cleanliness in some areas of the cottage. In particular the floors needed washing and the lounge furniture needed cleaning. Fortunately the good weather allowed us to sit in the lovely sun room throughout our stay. Plus small but important point for ladies- there are no mirrors in any of the bedrooms ?

Lovely week's holiday in an eco barn conversion
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Ysgubor Trehysby and found the cottage clean, well equipped and confortable for our holiday needs. . The views over the surrounding countryside were amazing and at night it was perfect for stargazing. Our dog enjoyed the outdoor space as the lawned garden extended into a more uncultivated area to explore. The neighbours were very friendly and recommended several dog walks. We found St David's Airfield was ideal with great views and plenty of space to wander. (NB: in spring and summer certain areas are closed to protect the skylark and other ground nesting birds).
Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay for an extra week when our building work at home was delayed due to the fuel/driver shortages. Hopefully we will return next year.

Get away from it all
We had a lovely stay , it was quite and secluded, no one in the other houses, socks loved the garden plenty of room to run around, she could get into the lane so we had to be careful, the conservatory was our place, loved sitting in it when we came back from walking, the leather settee and chair was very worn out but the other seats was so comfortable ,and so was the bed, amazing bedroom. could do with somewhere to hang up your wet coats , but loved our stay and would love to go back at some point

Spacious and quiet location near St David’s
This converted house and barn is much bigger than we anticipated. The main bedroom is huge with a gallery where you can view the landscape through huge windows (formerly barn doors). This is linked to the main house with an additional curved passageway with en suit bathroom and main bathroom (with wet room type shower cubicles). The utility has a washer dryer, sink, under counter freezer and cleaning equipment. The water was always hot and pressure was fantastic. The kitchen had the basics but it took me a while to work out the microwave setting on combi oven as I couldn’t find the house manual to start with. Under counter sized fridge, half size dishwasher but it wasn’t a problem at all. The lounge ceilings are quite low and if over six foot tall may have to watch your head but this made it feel characteristic and cosy. The WiFi worked really well. There are two WiFi sources, one in the lounge and the other in the main bedroom. Check the manual for codes as it won’t recognise the password from the modem itself! The conservatory is a lovely addition and the garden is huge! Plenty of parking. Just a couple of things we would have liked are a bbq and a washing line/rotary dryer. The two bedrooms upstairs are cosy- the beds are softer than we’re used to. The single beds easily roll away from the wall (castors on wooden floor) but there was plenty hanging/ wardrobe space. All in all we recommend this property and would return again! Many thanks!

This is a really good property. The pictures make it look spartan but it's much more interesting. Massive garden and good size living room. Only two points from us...microwave cooker is a bit of a pain and as we were there during a heatwave (yeah I know not many of them) a shade umbrella would have been useful for meals on the patio.

1st stay in Pembrokeshire.
Wonderful week in Pembrokeshire at this delightful property. Beautiful, quiet location, amazing property with huge garden. Very short drive to Whitesands bay and St David's. My only critique is that the photos don't do the property justice! It's a stunning house and we hope to return next year.

Another great week.
This was the second time we have stayed in the cottage and were once again delighted with the accommodation. We were a party of 4 twenty year olds, 2 much older parents and a Labrador.
Once again the cottage was very clean and well appointed. The garden was great for the dog (who ignored the dogs next door) and was big enough for kite flying and various sports activities.
The WiFi was a bit odd at times (we knew this would happen) but it generally coped well with the demands made upon it - especially by the 20 yr olds catching up with work and studies.
We hope to return for another stay in the future.

Wonderful setting & lovely views
It is a lovely property with amazing garden & views. The main bedroom with ensuite IS beautiful. However the layout of the other two bedrooms above sitting room without a door to kitchen meant It was not so good for sharing with in-laws,for example, as older people won't find It as confortable to go down the stairs and then past the kitchen to get to a bathroom.

St David’s Festival Rental
A pleasant set of re- designed farm buildings for holiday rental. The views were a daily pleasure especially when the sun shone and set. Plenty of hot water always available. The furniture was comfortable but the cooking facilities could have been improved, eg the cooker was a built in microwave and too small considering the rental is described as being for six people. Small everyday items which are usually available for holiday rentals were not available. Some Electrical items did not function properly and there were no electrical examination certificates available. However the HomeAway manageress was very helpful in sorting the problems she was able to in a short time.

A lovely place to stay.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a well-equipped, warm, friendly cottage.
Lovely and clean on arrival. Handy for St David's and the good eating at Porthgain and elsewhere.

A wonderful cottage with great views and an excellent location
We had a fantastic stay despite some inclement weather. Cottage is well appointed with welcome underfloor heating. Location good for both walking and beaches (and golf and visiting St Davids). Everything was perfect.

wonderful place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house in wonderful nature. The property was clean and well maintained. The house is bright because of the huge windows. Beautiful beach in the near and St Davids is a nice place to stay. We want to come back!! (.... the only thing we missed was a barbeque... ;-)

Very good, needs coat hangers - the running joke for last 10yrs!

The property is wonderful and a most interesting place to stay in for a holiday.
When staying in properties of this star rating before, we have always been greeted with at least a pint of milk and a cake. And sometimes a pint of milk, a cake and a bottle of wine! In addition the property has always been stocked with an adequate, initial supply of toilet rolls, kitchen towels, washing detergent etc.
Disappointingly, this property had none of the above. All we received was less than half a toilet roll in only one of the toilets.

Lovely cottage in good location
The cottage is v. quiet & well situated for walking - you can reach the coastal footpath by footpath just opposite. The underfloor heating was v. effective and, together with the wood stove and conservatory + decking, meant we were always at a comfortable temperature whatever the weather. It was v. well appointed and equipped. The only (very small) niggles were the lack of coat hooks and rather uncomfortable seating in sitting room.

Wonderful rural retreat
Had a wonderful weeks holiday at one of the most well appointed and distinctive holiday cottages that we have stayed in. Ysgubor Trehysbys is within easy reach of St Davids and the beautiful surrounding Pembrokeshire countryside. The renovated property has been well designed, is well maintained and the layout of the rooms are ideal for a relaxing holiday, whether you have children or are spending time with friends. The house makes full use of the stunning views towards St. Davids and Whitesands Bay with a conservatory overlooking a large garden, ideal for children, especially in the summer months. We would thoroughly recommend this property and hope to return in the near future.
