The driveway is wide and there is room for a small trailer if you are up here for the Rally in the Valley or Thunder in the Smokies or if you want to enjoy some of the best ATV riding areas around.
As far as location goes you can't do any better than this. Only 1/2 mile of good gravel road takes you right to Highway 19 with close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Cherokee Indian Reservation. From there it's your choice - 4 miles to Maggie Valley; 4 miles to Water Rock Knob (highest point around with views of all the high mountain peaks; 4 miles to Black Camp Gap - where you will always see lots of Elk; 12 miles to Harrah's Casino; 15 miles to the Smoky Mountain National Park or 25 miles to Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountain Railway.
Four-wheel drive or AWD is recommended to access the area from mid to late November and throughout winter months when there is snow or ice on the roads. The gravel road to the cabin is privately maintained and is a one lane road with pull-outs to allow oncoming traffic to pass. It is recommended to drive cautiously on the gravel road to the cabin.

We LOVED this cabin … location, coziness, quietness, cleanliness, fire pit, deck chairs, everything! We enjoyed having coffee on the deck and cooking breakfast/dinners in the cabin. We saw turkeys and their babies along with hearing owls and various birds. We felt safe. Definitely need a 4-wheel drive to get up the mountain! We will be back!!

If you enjoy a view of the mountains, quiet walks in the mornings, gentle rains and serene sunsets this may be the cabin for you. Nothing at all to complain about. The cabin promised and delivered. Enjoy

We absolutely love this cabin. It's cozy, has everything we need to cook meals, always clean, and remote

Loved the cabin. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Nice views, private, plenty of room for the 3 of us. Kitchen well appointed, very clean cabin. Driveway a challenge, and the King bed needs padding badly. But loved everything else about the place. Would stay here again, but will bring a mattress pad with me LOL.

Beautiful mountain property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the area. It's a rough road getting up to the property, but something our van could handle. Very comfortable home with a beautiful view of the mountains from the deck. We were a little surprised when someone showed up at 9:55AM the day we were checking out as we were rushing to leave on time. Did not introduce himself or say hello. We assumed it was the owner as he was exchanging the old rocking chairs with new ones. Other than that we had an excellent stay at the property.

We made our way to maggie valley with relaxation and fishing on our minds. The directions were perfect. We arrived to the subdivision road, it was a little bit washed out but our 4runner didnt have a problem in 2wd. My buddy was in a toyota corolla and he also didnt have a issue, until trying to back up the driveway. Its a fairly hard up hill left turn into the driveway. Although ther is room for 2 cars to park below the driveway to the house. He drove straight up to the house with no problem. We spent the first night in the house the place was very clean and the beds slept great. There isnt a couch, but a nice reclining loveseat. We also brought our pup, the yard is a little tight, but she had plenty of room to walk around freely and play. It rained off and on a few days but we still enjoyed sitting on the porch and by the fire pit between the rain. We seen 3 bears in the yard!! For us that was a first but they didn't bother anything. We watched the 2 cubs play and climb trees while mom was eating and watching. They worked their way down the mountain. The area is nice and quiet, most of the locals ride around on atv. We spoke with a few, they were friendly, they said they usually see bear and elk. We were fishing in cherokee. It was about a 15 minute ride to the tribal waters. We fished two days and caught some beautiful trout. We went to a few restaurants they were great as well. All in all we had a great stay. I would definitely go back.

I highly recommend booking this beautiful cabin for your next escape to the Smoky Mountains. My husband and I visit this area every year and we always stay at Mountain Time. The cabin is spotless and it is perfectly located near the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Several quaint towns such as Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Sylva, and Bryson City are not far away. The views from the deck are beautiful. We enjoy cooking in the kitchen that has pots, pans, dishes, and all the small appliances you need to make amazing meals. The grill is spotless and the firepit is fun to use on the cool evenings.

Our stay at this lovely cabin was perfect in every way. It immediately felt like home with its cozy and inviting decor. It was so clean and everything was in good working order. The beautiful mountain view from the deck as well as a large window in the living area was icing on the cake. We received instructions from Mike well in advance of our trip which made. our visit easy and stress free. We look forward to staying at Mountain Time again real soon!

The only problem I had was that the door would not lock by just pressing the white button.as per the instruction sheet. I had to punch in the code, pull the door closed tighter and then turn the lock.

We very much enjoyed our time and the cabin was just the accommodations we needed. Purpose of our trip was to take my Dad (87 yrs old) to visit his relatives and to visit his homestead in Waynesville Ratcliffe Cove area. We shared quality family time, played games and watched movies. Thank you again for enhancing our stay with your beautiful cabin. I highly recommend it to others. If I had one suggestion I would recommend a few food storage containers for leftovers. Thanks again. We hope to enjoy your cabin again in our future.

Cabin was easy to find and very cozy. The bed in the master was perfect and we slept good. Had good water pressure in shower and the place was very clean. Had good cell service. Cabin is very close to blue ridge parkway entrance and only a few miles to one of the best overlooks on the parkway. Water rock knob. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.

Quiet, well equipped (could use a dish drying rack), comfy. Great place to unwind during the holiday. (Believe the write-up you need 4x4 especially after 2-inches of rain!)

This beautiful home is tucked away in the mountains. It is peaceful but yet it’s close to stores, casino, tubing and attractions. Mike was great and we had a fantastic weekend. I would pick this place every time. Thanks for everything Mike!

The cabin is beautiful. It was clean and very well built and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped. Though we didn’t cook. You couldn't ask for a better location. It was convenient to Waynesville and Cherokee. We got to see an Elk! The weather turn off rainy and cold so we didn’t get to enjoy the deck or the firepit.

This was a repeat stay for us and we loved it just as much as before! Communication is great, the place is so clean that it’s like new, well equipped, easy drive, and very conveniently located to all the things we love to do in nature!

The property had a beautiful view from the deck and from the dining area and kitchen. We loved to watch as the sun as it started to shine on the mountains in the mornings. The cabin was cozy and very accommdating. The location was perfect, close to Maggie Valley, but not in it. I think we may have found a place that we'd like to visit again!

We were not able to go due to an emergency and Mike worked with me in every way possible to ease the situation!

The cabin was so nice and the view of the mountains was amazing. The mountains can be seen from the deck and inside while sitting on the couch. Perfect combination.
There are so many great things to do in the area but the cabin was so comfortable we did more sitting on the deck than anything else.
Highly recommend this property. Mike was always quick to respond to messages during the process of renting and during our stay.

We had a great time at this cabin. We felt secluded and tucked away from everyone, however, at the same time you were close to everything we chose to do.
Very cute, quaint cabin with all the amenities we needed along with beautiful views.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at the Mountain Cabin getaway. It was clean beautiful and there were many extra touches such as fresh flowers on the kitchen table and flashlights at bedside. Beds were comfortable and Wifi worked well. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch viewing the trees and watching the sunset. Short drive to Harrahs we ate there a few times. We bought groceries on the way in in Waynesville. Fully stocked kitchen. I hope we can stay again
