Blick auf den Pico und das Meer

Die Lage, Blick aufs Meer, alles super Sauber. Küche war komplett ausgestattet. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Parkplätze sind auch in der Nähe.

Lovely stay in a calm area

The staff is really friendly! It is great having access to the shared kitchen and there were self-made cookies available that were delicious. The view is great over the bay and onto Pico. It’s a calm area with several places to eat around and the local fishers just down the street fishing.

Amazing place

Everything was truly great. Very cleaned, an amazing view from our room. I loved the offered biscuits and fruits in the morning.

Basically perfect.

Beautiful space in a nice location, incredible view from the room, with a beautiful view on Pico, direct access to the garden. The kitchen is very well equipped (shared). The other guests are there but you do not basically realize. The bus stop is very close if one needs. Very pleasent experience. Very close to the airport also.

Obviously a bit more difficult to reach than other places on the island, otherwise perfect. A bit expensive.

Helpful, friendly, accommodating, and beautiful

Great location only 6 minutes from the airport. Clean and spacious room with a view of Pico from my window. They let me check in early (at 9:30am when my flight got in!) and my room was already ready, which was wonderful. Also helped with getting a taxi to take me to the beginning of my hike. Wish I could have stayed an extra day to enjoy it all, but it was beautiful!

Victor was an absolutely great host! He gave us some recommendations about things to do that were quite useful, and helped us to have a great stay on the island. The place itself was great as well, nice room, with everything you need. Good shared kitchen, and 'ice view outside on the terrace.

10 out of 10. The best view.

This is just a 10 out of 10. You can easily spend a week (or more!) here, over-the-top equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, an absurd terrace with Pico views, well, everything you could look for in a stay in São Jorge. There's a whole attention to details across the accommodation and Victor is always eager to help you plan your days and take care of the logistics. Would love to come back.

Pretty much everything. The hosts Helen and Anthony are wonderful, welcoming and make you feel right at home. Facilities are good, room was spacious, bathroom is spotless, but could be renewed (remodeling is planned) Location is convenient. Breakfast was plenty and tasty. Parking spots available. Would gladly recommend and would stay again!

Perfect place to stay: great location, amazing view to Pico and the best hosts!

Carlos and his wife were the best hosts: from helping with check in, providing recommendations on trekkings, making sure everything was okay (rooms, breakfast). We truly felt welcomed by them. Everything was super clean and the view to Pico was amazing! Strongly recommend this place!

Sheer Pleasure

The house is elegantly furnished and designed. Minimalist interiors, and a fully equipped common use kitchen. The garden view is stunning. The staff are super kind, helpful, well organised and efficient. The breakfast is on the same level as any 5-star hotel. Victor and Ana were very accommodating and supportive. On a clear day, you can see Pico island's volcano, all the way up to the summit. Otherwise it's a brilliantly, calming see view in the foreground and lush mountains in the background. A beautiful cliff walk is minutes away from the house. Calm and comfort central!!

Allround perfect accommodation central in Sao Jorge island

It's a nice location with views over the sea and Pico island. Room and beds were super comfortable and super clean. There is a nice and spotless clean kitchen for common use. Tasty breakfast every morning which we enjoyed on the veranda with nice views. Our laundry was also done at a reasonable rate. Owner Victor, housekeeper Anna and the other housekeepers are all super friendly. It was hard to leave this Casa!

Nothing to note here, it was simply perfect!

A perfect place to stay :-)

Victor, his wife and the whole team took perfectly care of everything and made me feel super comfortable. A great house/room and beautiful garden. The breakfast is delicious - everything is made with passion and love. Additionally I was super thankful for great recommendations and support for hikes/trails and places to visit :-) 100% recommend Casa d‘Avó

Very nice stay. We just leaved this morning after an amazing breakfast. Homemade bread, jams, juice, cake, eggs from the chickens they have, fruit from the garden. Very nice. The house is really beautiful and clean. Nice garden with a stunning vieuw. The housekeepers ar super sympatic and personal. I told the owner that i like figes. A few houres later there was a scale full of figs for us on the table. So sweet.
