The area is located within a protected national park and boasts superb beaches, fine restaurants and a relaxed ambiance.
All the beaches surrounding the twin towns of Alcossebre/Las Fuentas offer family beach entertainments.
Alcossebre is a great base to explore dramatic scenery, ancient mountain villages and cultural delights such as Morella, Peniscola and Valencia.
For the family the Universal Studios at Port Aventura (90mins away), or Benicassim splash park are all within a day trip distance.
There are 2 magnificent golf courses and the Marina d'Or, Europe's largest salt-water health spa and all within easy driving distance.
Castellon, Valencia and Barcelona are excellent shopping!

We love holidaying in Alcossebre and have been coming to the resort for many years. Our usual accommodation was not available but we were so fortunate to find Mr Patel’s apartment - and what a lovely place! Harshesh and co-host Carrie kept us informed of everything we needed to know for our booking and Carrie was available and attentive to our needs and questions when we arrived and during our stay - not that we had many, as we were made most welcome and everything we needed was available - the apartment is well appointed, spacious and such a great location. The complex and pool is peaceful but it’s also right next to the beach so you have the best of both worlds. The beach itself is vast and never feels crowded. We drove from the UK and there is allocated secure parking within the apartment block which is a bonus. As we had use of our car we took a trip to the walled town of Morella which was a delight, however we would recommend a day trip to Peniscola which is just down the road. Not that you need to have a car - the apartment is within a few minutes walking distance of the town centre where there are plenty of shops (including two supermarkets), bars and a vast variety of restaurants to suit all palates. There is also the mountains of the Parc Natural de la Serra d’Irta nature reserve if you like the great outdoors. We can highly recommend this apartment for a stay in a wonderful Spanish resort. Estupendo destino para vacaciones tranquilas en la playa

Alcossebre es un sitio estupendo para pasar unas vacaciones tranquilas en la playa con los niños. No hay edificios de torres enormes, y por lo tanto es una zona poco masificada en comparación con otras de la costa. Lo mejor del apartamento: andas 2 minutos y estás en una playa fantástica. El otro gran punto a su favor es la terraza, que es enorme. Por lo demaś el piso está bastante bien aunque, como la mayoría de los de la zona, ya es un poco viejito. Nosotros no tuvimos ningún problema con la ducha, aunque se hubiera agradecido que tuviera pestillo. Hay pequeños detalles a mejorar, como el tendedero de la terraza, que ya estaba en mal estado, y el estado general de los muebles, que ya tienen sus años, con las camas que hacían mucho ruido y el sofá cama, cuyas fundas tendrían que ser lavadas a fondo. Por lo demás Clive y Cathy fueron muy amables a nuestra llegada y salida, y la comunicación con el señor Pathel fue muy fluida anteriormente. Detallazo que nos dejaran utilizar una segunda plaza de aparcamiento de un piso que no estaba siendo usado en ese momento. Han sido unas vacaciones bastantes atípicas por la COVID-19, pero sin duda ha merecido la pena disfrutarlas allí.

L'appartement est très agréable, très bien situé, dans une résidence calme et sécurisée. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Cathy. Il manquerait peut-être un peu de vaisselle (Plus d'assiettes, couverts, récipients , dessous de plat) et un aspirateur pour l'entretien du logement, en bord de plage de sable. Une location que nous recommandons pour de belles vacances !

Très bel appartement, très propre avec une vue superbe sur la plage et très bien placé. Proche de toutes les commodités. Le linge de maison fournie est un plus très appréciable, de plus il a même été changé par les personnes qui soccupent de donner les clefs durant notre séjour. La cuisine ainsi que la salle de bain ont été refaites depuis notre dernier séjour, la douche est magnifique. Si il y aurait une petite chose pour encore améliorer ce bien, ce serait de pouvoir proposer un service payant de nettoyage de fin de séjour. Nous reviendrons encore cest sûr!

The apartment is directly behind the beach and a 2/3 minute walk to town with a vast selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, oh and ice cream parlours! The apartment has just had a new kitchen and bathroom installed this year and they are really nice and well equipped. The SKY tv was welcome for the World Cup coverage alone. The terrace was huge and has a great view of the beach and is a perfect place to sit and relax after a hard day on the beach. There are a couple of sunloungers too. There is an awning so part of the terrace is always protected from the sun. The pool looked fine but we never used it. Alcosebbre is a typically Spanish resort with a few French, German, Dutch tourists and a handful of English ones. Most restaurants however, have English menus but it's always good to try your Spanish. Overall, a very good apartment in an excellent location. We had a car but you really could have a great beach holiday without one.

This was our second visit to this apartment. It's perfectly placed for lounging on the beach (100m) in the bar/restaurant (50m) or on the super sized balcony. All amenities (shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets) are either a short walk or a very short drive away. The only draw back is the very"in & out" wi-fi, but that's a community matter and nothing the owner of the apartment has any control over.

Apartment suitable for those with mobility problem

This apartment is just as described, with all the amenities that we required, including Wifi and English TV. It is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. It was the second time we have rented this apartment and we were pleased to see new cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery since our last visit. We could have done with some serving dishes for salad and fruit etc. We have recommended this apartment to three different families who have mobility problems as it is suitably fitted for wheelchair users.

Super séjour, appartement très agréable avec grande terrasse et vue directe sur la mer, petite piscine bien sympathique avec possibilité de se mettre à l' ombre, ce qui n' est pas négligeable quant il fait très chaud, localisation pratique, mer,commerces, bars et restaurants à proximité immédiate, il manquerait simplement un peu de vaisselle dans la cuisine ( pas de grands bols à petit déjeuner, saladier...) Location à conseiller.

Bright, Spacious and Well equiped.

The apartment, nicely furnished and well maintained, was spacious (especially the balcony) and exactly as described. The kitchen was well equipped (so my wife tells me!) The apartment being on the 3rd floor was no problem because of the lift and it was only 100m from the beach and, in case we found that too tiring there was a very friendly bar/ restaurant half-way. We had a great time and are hoping to return next year.

Nous y avons séjourné 2 semaines. L'appartement en lui-même est correcte et l'avantage principale est le grand balcon. Après il nécessite clairement une rénovation au niveau de la cuisine et salle de bain. Ces deux pièces nous ont clairement déçu. Sinon literie confortable et chaises longues à disposition. Alcossebre est idéal pour les familles, pas d'effet de masse et la plage très belle et propre.

The apartment, on the 3rd floor was spacious and comfortable, with a sea view from the large balcony, as described on the Homeaway website. The sofa was comfortable to sit on and the kitchen was adequate for a short stay. It was clean. We were met on arrival, with the keys and shown around the apartment. We made good use of the English TV and Wifi service. The facilities for disabled people were a bonus for anyone with mobility problems. Easy, level access from the underground car park to the lift was welcome. The apartment was within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. We would recommend this property to a friend and would be happy to return again.
