My Oporto House is part of a restored building dated 1850, which is classified by UNESCO as World Heritage!
It's located in the heart of historic Oporto city centre, in Douro riverside quarter known as Ribeira, surrounded by the most beautiful and important sights of the city like Palace of Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace), S João Novo Palace, Dom Fernando Wall, S Francisco Church, Palace of Arts, Hard Club, Douro and Port Wines Institute, House of Henry - The Navigator, Ribeira riverside area, Dom Luis I Eiffel bridge and Port Wine Cellars.
In this quarter, you can stroll around the narrow twisting streets, enjoy the colorful facades of the houses, once painted once tiled, taste the most tipical food in busy 'tascas' or restaurants or take party in one of the most lively bars in Ribeira or 'Galerias de Paris'!
Despite its prime location, the house is situated in a very quiet and silent place, so the guests can have a good nights!

The apartment is neat, fully equipped and perfectly located. In addition, Isabel is a gem and very supportive. Thanks for helping us out with our reservations ! The restaurant next door, Mistu is a must try, especially their butterfish foie gras and the crème brulée. Isabel also arranged for us a very nice cruise on the Douro valley together with some wine tasting. Thank you so much !

I stayed with my 15 year old daughter at this cozy and modern property and we absolutely loved it! Location was great-close to the river, variety of restaurants for any budget, grocery stores, shopping and major attractions of Porto. But above all, i appreciate the care and hospitality of our host Isabel.
She arranged eveey detail of our stay including airport transfer, tours, amazing breakfast delivery service provided by Tita-always on time, quality food and customized options depending on guest preferences. Isabel recommended and even booked for us few restaurants and we loved each of them for unique ambience and tasty meals. My words don't do the justice to Isabel for all the great care that made our stay at Porto so memorable. Thank you, Isabel!!!

Our experience with Isabel was fantastic from the beginning to the end. She went above and beyond to help us enjoy our trip and experience the Portuguese culture. The house was perfect for my husband and l and it had everything we needed. It’s in a good location and surrounded by good restaurants and shops. Isabel personally welcomed us and made herself available. We highly recommend her place, we’re also planning on coming back soon.

We loved our stay with Isabel in Porto. The Apartment was spotless, very well designed and comfortable for two. Isabel arranged transportation for us and a great full-day Douro Valley wine tour that I highly recommend. If your looking for a place with a high design fell this is your place. It’s a 2nd floor walk-up but not unmanageable if you can walk the hills of Porto. Also can be noisy at night but that’s the cost of a great location.

Updated and comfortable studio with a good location for exploring central Porto. Isabel makes everything easy. Definitely recommend the Douro Valley wine tour. A beautiful spot in the world.

Isabel is the best VRBO host we have ever encountered. From her excellent communications in advance of our arrival to greeting us upon arrival, to providing a map to go over with all her recommendations of things to see and do, to setting up dinner reservations (which we needed for the best restaurants). She coordinated picking us up at the train station and dropping us off at the airport very early. She gets host of the year, 5 stars!!
The property is in a perfect location to walk the city easily. The AC was important as temps got into 30C during our stay. The shower pressure was fabulous and such a gorgeous bathroom.
Loved the Port wine she left us as a gift too!

This was a perfect place to stay. Isabel is incredibly friendly and very responsive. She met us on our first day to make sure we were settled in. She provided recommendations before and throughout our stay in Porto to make sure we had the best time possible. The location is perfect. Steps to the Tram, the bus, the water … everything really. The apartment is so tastefully decorated, very comfortable. We have everything we needed. There is a quaint balcony with beautiful views Isabel went above and beyond to make our trip to Porto memorable. Thank you Isabel!!

I’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals this experience exceeded most firstly due to Isabelle the host.
From a onsite greeting upon arrival, a sample of Port wine for us to try and detailed suggestions with a map for visits during our stay.
She arranged Airport pick up and return, restaurant reservations, personal walking guide and much more.
The unit is a well designed and supplied Studio with a very comfortable bed and open Balcony. Some stairs leading up off the street, but nothing difficult.
It’s located in a great central area so walking to all the highlights of Porto us absolutely doable.
I recommend very highly, you will love it and her.

Porto was amazing, but what really made our week was Isabel and her home. The property is in an excellent location to explore the historic city center, the decor made it feel like an elegant stay in a home, exactly what you hope for, but rarely find in short term rentals. The star was our host, Isabel’s suggestions and attention to ensure we enjoyed our visit was truly the best. We would highly recommend, and look forward to visiting again.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. The apartment is a great size for two people and beautifully designed. Isabel the host met us at the apartment even though we arrived early so we could drop off our bags and couldn't do enough for you with excellent recommendations and always on hand for queries. Definitely try Mistu and Intrigo which are restaurants very close by and were some of the best food we had in Porto. The apartment is very centrally located and all the main attractions are easily walkable. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we get chance to visit Porto again!

It is hard to overstate the advantages of staying at this VRBO property. The location is just 1 or 2 blocks from Porto’s iconic riverfront. It has a classy interior with everything one would want—a full kitchen, modern shower, washer/dryer, TV, and many more advantages. A giant advantage is the owner, who offered many suggestions, helped set up day trips, and made sure everything went smoothly. In case someone doesn’t know it, Porto is a great place to visit for sightseers, wine lovers, foodies and because of a welcoming “vibe.”

The property was fantastic. Great location, easily walkable to all the sights. Cute apartment with a nice patio overlooking one of the back streets behind the Stock Exchange. Isabel was a great host, gave us lots of good recommendations for restaurants, things to do and set us up with drivers as needed. Highly recommend!!!

We absolutely loved Miragaia. The location was perfect as we were able to walk everywhere. The spaced was beautiful and the attention to detail was so greatly appreciated. Isabel personally welcomed us and spent time providing us with an overview of Porto. It was so lovely to have her check in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Fantastic apartment and host
We had a fabulous time in Porto, thanks to our stay in a terrific place and neighborhood, as well as the wonderful hospitality of our host, Isabel. She treated us as if we were old friends coming to stay at her home for a few days, offering incredible recommendations and checking in with us throughout our visit. This property is incredible for every reason you can imagine! It is clean, cozy, comfortable, and in an ideal location for exploring Porto. Beyond it being even nicer than the pictures, the very best thing was the host Isabel. There simply aren't words to describe her exemplary level of customer service. It is like having the best concierge at the best hotel available at all times providing you with great tips for restaurants, where to go, and even recommending and booking tours. She booked our Covid tests for the return to the US and she made dinner reservations for us the afternoon we arrived to make sure we were taken care of after our long flight. When you stay in this apartment you not only get fabulous accommodations, but you get incredible service as well. I strongly recommend this apartment, and if you have a larger group I believe Isabel manages a home as well, so ask her about that. We had an outstanding time in Porto and Isabel's guidance was a big reason for our travel success!

Incredible Apartment!
Isabel was a fantastic host and the apartment was incredible. It was spotless and had everything we needed! Isabel met us personally and gave us a great introduction to Porto - she is one of the kindest and warmest hosts we've ever encountered! The apartment is in an absolutely perfect location close to all of the best downtown locations and near the waterfront. We will definitely be staying with Isabel again if we ever return to Porto.

A great couple of days!
This property was exactly as described-clean, newly remodeled, and has everything you need. It is located in the perfect spot to get to the waterfront without any issue. The host is very attentive and will go out of her way to help you with anything you need. Overall this is without a doubt a 5 star property-just be prepared that Porto is a town full of hills-some pretty steep and narrow. This apartment is on one of those streets and is on the second floor with no elevator.

Perfect Stay!!
This unit was impeccable! The decor was adorable, the space was clean, the location was great for walking everywhere, and Isabel was absolutely amazing. She met us with some port and treats, and she offered maps and recommendations for things to do and restaurants to try, all of which were fabulous! She even offered to arrange our airport pickup. The studio unit was perfect for two people. I would absolutely stay here again!

Fabulous apartment in Porto
The apartment is located in an old medieval city street but with a little balcony for enjoying the clean fresh warm air and a glass of wine or the Vintage Port which the owner provided. We were near the river Douro so it was easy to access the restaurants and bars on the lively riverside. The apartment recently had a beautiful makeover with calming colours and splendid art and sculptures to make it homely. It was extremely comfortable and a joy to stay there.
The owner Isabel was very welcoming and informative. she made good recommendations for visiting The district. we enjoyed the village of Aveiro and it’s canals which was only one hour away.
On our arrival at Porto airport we had been delayed so our transfer to the apartment was very late in the evening but Isabel waited patiently and then spent well over one hour calmly explaining our location and facilities. She texted us daily to ask if we needed anything and gave us many good bits of useful information.
She was a perfect host. We recommend this apartment.

Great location to explore Porto
We enjoyed staying in this apartment. The owner is very nice but a little too communicative... too many messages and there was a problem with the flower boxes, and rather than wait until we were gone, we needed to arrange to allow her husband access to come and collect them...Once checked in, guests should really be left alone until check-out.
However, the apartment is clean, and very well decorated - although focus is more on form rather than function.
I think it's good for a short stay - but it's quite small and the "couch" is very uncomfortable.

Isabel is a wonderful host. The home is beautiful. The location is close to the river, wine tastings, bus stop and historic tram stop. We enjoyed the area and especially the recommendations Isabel was so kind to give.

Amazing!,
Chic is the first thing that came to mind when we entered the home. So different than what was shown on the website. The welcoming amenities of port wine and Portuguese pastries was so thoughtful. The location is great for touring the historic district on foot. Just be prepared for cobblestone and inclined streets. Access to public transportation is just a short walk down the street. There is an excellent authentic Portugesa restaurant, O Bon Talher, just forty steps from the house. It was by far the best food we had in Porto, and we ate at manyrestaurants mentioned in previous posts. The Historic Center of Porto is a must see. Staying at the Design House in Old Porto Historic Center is a must on our return to Porto. As stated in previous post Isabel is a fantastic host. We can not say enough about her desire to make sure you love her city as she does.
