Upstairs there is one double bedroom with a large dressing area, one twin bedroom, and a newly refurbished family bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

Wonderful place to visit the Cotswolds, beautiful walks from the door, complimentary entry to Sudely Castle and Winchcombe is also a very beautiful village but not crowded. Highly recommended!

Great location for the castle and the town. Cute little courtyard. Comfortable, clean, well furnished.

We had a nice stay despite the weather. The car parking is excellent and the cottage well equipped. We thought it a little expensive but probably about right for the area. We have never had to pay a cleaning charge before. Free entrance to Sudely Castle is an added bonus.

Easy to find and with ample parking available, this was a great little place for our family weekend away to explore the Cotswolds. The free entrance to Sudeley Castle was a bonus. The cottage was well equipped and well presented. Our only observation was the prior water leak from the shower that had come through to the ceiling below. It would be great if this could be sorted out.

Our second visit. Love the cottage, the outdoor seating area, walks from the door and even a circus this time. We will be back.
Thank you

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Queen Mary. The cottages are in a lovely quiet location and the inside space is very comfortable for us and the dog. A short walk into the village provides great pubs and places to eat. Love being in the grounds of the Castle and there are so many lovely walks to enjoy.
A couple of niggles, we needed to wash the kitchen floor with us and the dog traipsing in and out and I couldn't find a bucket and mop. Plus not enough toilet rolls supplied. :-)

A lovely cottage especially if you are travelling with dogs. The enclosed courtyard was ideal for the morning and late night wee without having to put on their leads. The cottage was fully equipped with everything you could possibly want. Only a few minutes walk to Winchcombe town centre and a short drive to many other Cotswold towns/villages. Also a couple of minutes walk to be on the grounds of the castle with loads of walks for the dogs. An added bonus of course, was free access to the castle itself. The area was very quiet and we scarcely saw another person. We cannot wait to go again.

great towels and bed linen
lovely blinds / curtains
thank you

Lovely cottage, very well placed. Very loud music from work men wasn't good ,odd seats at dinning table and very lumpy double bed, why with such a lovely cottage fall down on such silly things.

The cottage is well located with the village a short walk. It was super clean and v warm. I would recommend the cottage, the only down side was, the TV has 'no signal' on the weekend we stayed.

Was awful when we arrived after a long drive and music from a radio full blast from a large building site right next to our cottage. Awful view of builders rubbish and building site. Cottage lovely really quiet over weekend when builders not working. Great situation for seeing the Cotswolds. Would recommend when building work done.

Peaceful stay
Beautiful property with plenty of parking space. The place was clean and neat with all amenities needed for the first day. Shops are close by. sometimes the shops close earlier. Bed was comfortable. The stay comes with travel cot and baby high chair which made life easy for us. Easy access to castle.I recommend staying here.

Wonderful Cotswolds stay
We absolutely loved our stay at the Queen Mary Cottage. We had everything we needed, as everything was catered for (even toiletries, and extras such as cling film, torches, a fan, cleaning equipment, teas and milk etc). Full facilities if you want to cook, do washing, iron (not that we did!). The cottage was spotless, which we were so pleased about. The location is perfect - beautiful spot. Included in the stay was free access to Sudeley Castle, which was fantastic. So much more there than expected, and a brilliant play area for the kids. The cottage is so close to Winchcombe centre, with a great pub just up the road (White Hart Inn). Parking space just at the rear of the property and you have access to the cottage at the back, so easy for uploading cases etc. Nice little courtyard area with table and chairs (if you choose a warmer time than we did). We would definitely recommend staying here, and would look to come back (or try another one of the cottages).

Winchcombe 4 night break
We are previous guests at Sudeley Cottages albeit from some time ago and we have also stayed at Queen Mary before .Cottage has been refurbished since then to a very good standard and on arrival cottage was very clean and well presented all round..Cottage is spacious and with a small but adequate sitting out area. Winchcombe town pubs and restaurants just a short walk away. Plenty of nice walks nearby and, particularly if you have children, take a trip on the nearby heritage steam railway line to Broadway or Cheltenham.
Only criticism is that whilst very clean on arrival, as it is dog friendly the vacuum cleaner left for guests use to tidy round had not been cleaned out and was full of very smelly dog hairs etc which unfortunately pervaded the cottage for some time after use,, Needs to be emptied and disinfected as part of the pre-arrival cleaning regime. That is why have given 4 on condition otherwise would have been top marks..

Short Bank Holiday break
Queen Mary cottage was just perfect, Having stayed at a lot of cottages in the past this was by far a 10/10. Perfect location. Great pub within walking distance and the High Street. The cottage was fantastically equipped. Little touches like hand santiser, dog bowl & towel, fan, extra towels, milk in the fridge, tea/coffee etc....All very very clean too. Would absolutely recommend Sudeley Cottages and would be happy to return. Thank you!

Great stay at Sudeley Castle cottages
We had a great girls’ trip to Sudeley Castle, where we enjoyed a very homey stay in the Queen Mary Cottage. Super close to Winchcombe and Sudelely, as well as a great location for walking and visiting the surrounding Cotswold villages. The cottage itself was clean and very well equipped; beds were comfortable and we felt right at home.

-Another wonderful stay.
We have stayed at Queen Mary many times and can't wait to return. What a fantastic location in a lovely part of England. The cottage is always clean and welcoming on arrival and so warm and comfortable whatever season we go. Cannot recommend the village enough, everyone so welcoming and fantastic deli.
Already planning our next trip.

Escape the Madness
Perfect cottage for much needed break away from work and Corona. The cottage lived up to the description in every aspect and could not fault anything except the weather but not part of the package.

QUEEN MARY COTTAGE
Stayed at Queens Cottage for a month in November 20 and most recently Queen Mary Cottage Jan/Feb 21. Queen Mary Cottage was very clean and comfortable, but very cold even with the heating on full blast (lots of draughts from windows and under doors). The fridge is very small (I have seen bigger mini bar fridges) and does not work as well as it should. Up stairs shower is in need of an upgrade as the water pressure is very weak and the shower door is in need of repair.
My booking was initially for 14 nights but I needed to extend for a further 2 nights, which I arranged with Bolthole Retreats. The lady dealing with my request was very unhelpful and rude and is in need of some customer service training. Boltholes retreats charged me a further £392.20 for 2 extra nights which I thought was excessive, I asked for a small discount which was denied.

A Cotswolds Delight
We recently enjoyed a fabulous 5 day stay at Sudeley Cottages staying in the delightfully charming Queen Mary Cottage. It was superbly located being a 2 minute walk into the beautiful Winchcombe village, a 5 minute drive to Cleve Hill and a 20 minute drive from most of the wonderful Cotswold villages such as Bourton-on-the-water, Stowe-on-the-Wold and Broadway. The cottage was amply stocked and a perfect winter getaway for a family of 4. The bottle of Prosecco was also a lovely touch. Thoroughly recommended!

Super Cottage.
This was our fifth time staying at Queen Mary cottage at Sudley castle, and will certainly not be our last. We love the Cotswolds and this gem of a village is perfect for exploring the surrounding area.
The cottage is comfortable and has all you need for a wonderful stay (with the exception of a corkscrew)

Return visit.
My family and I have enjoyed many breaks at Sudeley in the last few years and often in Queen Mary so it was lovely to be back! I think the lighting in the cottage now needs to be updated and brighter but I'm sure this will come.
