This 4 bedroom home provides families with a peaceful & private beach retreat with its stunning ocean views and soothing coastal colors & interior design. Salt Sea has multiple seating areas throughout the house, which allows members of your group to spend time together and also have the option to relax on their own. Once you climb the exterior stairs from the parking level to the home, all the rooms of Salt Sea are on the same floor. There are ocean views from the kitchen, both dining areas, sun room, living room, master bedroom and screened porch. Your toughest decision of the day will be whether to frolic on the beach with the kids, watch the waves come to shore from the sun deck or read a good book in the Salt Sea sun room or screened porches. This is the type of beach house that you'll want your kids and family to experience and make memories together every year.

Guests access the Salt Sea front door by walking up one flight of exterior stairs to the front porch. Once you enter the front door, you will find a foyer with tiled floor. From the foyer, you can either turn right to go down the hallway towards three of the home's four bedrooms, walk straight into the Salt Sea living room or turn left to enter the bunk bedroom. The living room features hardwoods floors, a working fireplace, large screen TV with Roku and ocean views. From the living room, you can walk straight to the sun room or turn left to enter the dining area and kitchen. The sun room also features ocean views, seating area with coastal colors & design and sliding door access to the sun deck (which leads to the exterior steps down to the backyard and private walkway to the beach). You will love the white cabinetry, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Guests also love that there are two separate dining areas in the home -- both with ocean views! The first dining table (which seats 6) is located just off the kitchen and the second dining table (which also seats 6) sits in one of the home's two screened porches.

We had the best week staying at Salt Sea to celebrate a 40th birthday! The house was even better than the photos - the primary suite bathroom has received a beautiful upgrade! We had a group of 8 adults, 2 children, and the house was a good fit. We loved drinking coffee on the porch every morning and looking for dolphins! Our favorite part was the beach access, and we appreciated that there were beach chairs and boogie boards available. Hosts were easy to communicate with, and were very helpful when we had some travel issues. Would absolutely love to stay here again!

We had a fun-filled trip with family and our accommodations helped make it so. House was well supplied, beds were comfy, and there was easy access to beach for our elderly family members. Plenty of space to spread out and views were spectacular. Loved the deck and screened porches. Already looking ahead to next summer at Salt Sea 💛

We just finished 3 days at Salt Sea. The place is fabulous. What stands out most is the location. It seems to be one of the few houses on the beach that is set back so that when you sit on the deck or porch, with a great view of the ocean, you feel very private and surrounded by trees. The house has a deck, screened porch and glass enclosed/ air-conditioned porch and so has great places to sit in any weather. We were two families (4 parents and 4 twenty somethings) and were super comfortable there. Beach chairs and boogie boards were provided. Two small suggestions: the outdoor shower, which is lovely, needs to have the latch repaired as the door blows open in the wind. Also, contrary to instructions you don’t need to bring coffee filters, there are tons there.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this location. Plenty of room for everyone, close to many things, and our favorite was the easy access to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner at home if we wanted, but we were also fairly close to a lot of the restaurants on Folly and a short drive to get into Charleston. It was super easy to communicate with our hosts and didn't have any issues with our stay.

We LOVED staying at Salt Sea!! It is a great house! Amazing views of the ocean and very private! The house is clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved the sunroom and screened porches (all have ocean views!) We saw dolphin pods go by almost every morning! We love to surf and Salt Sea is located at Folly’s best surf spot! Kitchen has everything you need! The back yard area has a grill too. There’s also an outdoor table and outdoor shower with hot water! We enjoyed this vacation so much!!!! Looking forward to staying at Salt Sea again!!!

Loved the location of this property, it was right on the beach, but surrounded by trees so very private. The accommodations were comfortable and kitchen was stocked with anything you could need. Amazing outdoor spaces, two screened in porches with windows and doors you can leave open to hear the ocean. We will definitely be back.

Great house, fit our family perfectly! Our biggest problem was with the walk over the dunes. It is a small path and very steep. That needs to be fixed to accommodate all ages. That would be the reason we do not go back to this house. One more problem - the sliding glass door to the deck was VERY DIFFICULT to slide closed. That needs to be fixed.

This is such a beautiful house! Had all the amenities we needed. Our family of six really enjoyed this amazing place. There were spacious rooms for everyone! I was able to make breakfast every morning and then the kids and husband enjoyed the beach, right in the backyard! My mother enjoyed the backyard porch while listening to the waves. We were able to visit the little shops in the area and also took one day trip to Charleston. Communication with Steven was excellent even before we arrived. Thank you also for the wonderful gifts! We truly enjoyed our time here and reconnected with the family during this stay.

This was our first trip to Folly Beach. We had a great time exploring the area. This house was perfect for our family. The views are amazing. The house was spotless. One of the cleanest homes I have rented. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and pots/pans you will need. The TV in the living room was a great size for watching movies. The house came with plenty of towels and beach towels which we sadly didn't need since it was chilly during our visit. It was nice to have some necessities waiting for us like paper towels, hand soap and dish soap just to mention a few. Thank you for the bottle of wine and cookies. That was such a nice treat. We loved having access to the beach right out the back door. We walked every day up and down the beach collecting shells and finding starfish along the rocks. We even found a sand dollar. We had a great dinner at Rita's Grille and Woody's pizza was the best. We also had dinner one night in Charleston, visited the aquarium and Patriots Point. We visited Sullivan's Island and had lunch at Poe's Tavern. So much to do in the area. I recommend this house to everyone and can't wait to stay here again.

Nice sized main living room, plus an adjacent (smaller but still can accommodate several people easily) comfortable "bonus" room beyond that with gorgeous view of the beach. That bonus indoor space had interior doors to separate from activity of the main room, which was key for our group. Nice to have a puzzle and reading room separate from the game/talking/tv room.

The location is a 10! This charming older beach home has two screened in porches and a large outdoor deck, all facing the ocean. Well equipped, many thoughtful touches - welcoming wine, outdoor shower, beach towels and more. Great communication with the host. We WILL be back.

We stayed at Salt Sea this past week and all I can say about the place is if I were to describe the quaint beach cottage with modern amenities of my dreams, it would be this place. The decor was understated, classy beach vibes and the MULTIPLE, screened and unscreened outdoor spaces were amazing. The back yard and the dunes with flora and fauna meant that you were always being visited by a fuzzy bumble bee or gorgeous butterfly and the copious plant life on either side makes the property feel like you’re 15 miles away from the closest beach house even though there is public beach access right next to it. We only got one day on the beach because…Hurricane Ian… but the erosion groins dotting that end of the beach make for some pretty fun waves! We didn’t really need much from the owners so we didn’t have to communicate much but they did quickly relay info to us when the hurricane warning was issued and we left a day early to be safe. I’d recommend this for anyone but especially families with small children as there was a high chair and pack n play at the property and beach equipment. It’s just nice to know you don’t have to pack those big but necessary items.

The pictures don't do justice to just how perfectly situated and lovely this place is. It was immaculately clean, well-equipped, and stunningly lovely! The outdoor living areas and screened in porch spaces made it an absolute heaven for our beach trip. We could see and hear the ocean, which was just steps out the back door. The community area was perfect and just the shortest drive to all kinds of fun nightlife and restaurants. We were even surprised at just how easy it was to get downtown from there. The property managers were just the kindest, and so very helpful. They wanted to make sure our stay was great and I couldn't be more thankful for how easy they made it for us to have an excellent trip! Would stay here again in a heartbeat :)

This house was even better than I was expecting. We spent a lot of time in the sunroom that overlooks the water while still enjoying the air conditioning (we went late August and the humidity is extreme!). We went to the beach every day and were able to take a 30 min Uber into downtown Charleston. Highly recommend!
