We had an extended family group of 22. Some had never met before and others hadn't seen each other in years. Our hosts went far and beyond welcoming us, providing help with transportation and becoming wonderful friends. It was a wonderful, relaxing and meaningful time together. Thanks to our amazing hosts! The house was very clean and comfortable.

Excellence host - Chris
Convenient location off the train line in a quiet neighborhood

I struggled to find a suitable house for my extended family to stay in harmoniously (11 of us). This property was perfect for us, spacious, private and came with a hot tub!
We met up in Scotland for a private homage to our mother who has passed away a year earlier, she was born in the area and we wanted to bring her ashes back to Scotland.
Chris the host was so incredibly supportive and immediately understood our needs as a family, he went out of his way to organise a private scattering on the beautiful Loch Lomond.
We were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome (and amazing brownies) and then left in privacy with everything we needed to enjoy time together.
The attention to detail in even the pre visit pack helped us make the most of our weekend with whisky tasting, boat tours and restaurants.
Thank you for a great stay - this house does what it says it will, no surprises other than way above average customer service from the hosts!
Enjoy!

Really lovely weekend with a big group of friends. Couldn't have asked for a better location and property. Chris was a superb host, looked after us from the very beginning. Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay. The house was perfect for our family; lots of space both inside and out. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus. It was very clean and had a lovely view. The town Milngavie is just a 5-minute walk from the house with lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. We also spent some time on the hiking trails around, which were all incredible. Chris and Frances were incredible hosts! We would love to return.

We were a large group of friends and stayed 2 nights. The property was better than expected with a great kitchen/dining/lounge area. We enjoyed making use of the hot tub. Large garden. Easy to get into Glasgow via train-only a 5 minute walk to the station. Helpful, friendly hosts. Would recommend.

I booked Pleasant Hill for a Hen do, it was perfect for such a big number and we even were able to all fit around the kitchen table (17 of us) for dinner. Chris met us for an early check in and granted a late check out and was very helpful throughout our stay. The home made brownies were an extra treat! Thanks very much!

Pleasant Hill is a beautiful property up a short walk from the train station. Easy walk to Tesco and local shopping and food. The property was well maintained and clean/ready for us. We used Pleasant Hill as a central base which allowed us to do day trips to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and local castles. Chris was an amazing host! He got in contact early to make sure we would have everything we needed. He also let us make a grocery order that he unpacked for us the day before we arrived. We even had a problem with our train delaying our arrival and he offered to compensate the missed night by extending our stay. Milngavie is a beautiful town that feels like it’s straight out of a fantasy story. I absolutely recommend a stay at Pleasant Hill and hope to return myself in the future.

Fabulous Villa 🙂
This villa us absolutely fabulous, only 4 of us stayed, which meant more than plenty of space for each of us, with our own added privacy.
Few minutes walk to supermarket, train station, shops, takeaways, coffee shops etc.
Big bedrooms and bathrooms
Lovely, huge back garden with tree house, where you can sit and take in the peace and quiet
What stood out was the fabulous 7 seater jacuzzi/hot tub, teenager and younger adult practically spent most of stay in the hot tub.. Lol 😆
I personally slept like a baby for 2 days, after returning home, following a few days in the jacuzzi, very relaxing 😎
Owners Chris and Frances are superb, welcoming hosts, with great communication and interactions.
Home made chocolate brownies were a nice welcoming touch and went down a treat 🍪 😋
Highly recommend this Villa and I'm sure I'll be back !
Thanks Chris/Frances 👍

Fantastic hosts
Group os 11 of us stayed at Chris' property for two nights as part of a stag weekend in Scotland. We went canoeing in the Trossachs, about an hour north, shooting at Loch Lomond Shooting school 30-40 mins away and Chris arranged a discount for a distillery tour at Glengoyne. House was plenty big enough for us to entertain ourselves in the evenings and we particular enjoyed playing lawn games whilst BBQing (even in October). Chris is an attentive host and is on hand for anything you may need during your stay. We had an excellent time.

Perfect and long awaited getaway
From the moment we booked the manager, Chris, was on hand we all the details we needed.
Our family group of 14 ranged in age from 1mnth to 53yrs.
There was plenty of room for us all and lots of outdoor space for the kids.
Everything we needed was available, Chris even supplied extra towels for the hot tub.
Location is perfect, plenty of days out just a short drive. Also a lovely restaurant 5mins walk and Tesco also just 5mins.
Thank you Chris for your help, we waited a long time for this family break and you helped make it the perfect weekend.

Great host, great location
Having spent almost 2 weeks in Scotland in a number of lets, this being the most expensive I had high expectations. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. Whilst there is nothing wrong with the property itself, it’s just a bit tired now and really could do with a complete refresh. It’s got so much potential to be a 5* property but it’s not that today. So if you’re expecting luxury this isn’t it. That said Chris the owner is an absolute gent and very helpful. He allowed the kids full use of the gardens which they loved.
If you’re in a large party wanting somewhere to stay the night and be out during the day this works really well.

Helpful
During covid, it's been a hard time for us all. Chris the owner has been really helpful and letting us change our dates - even offered to be in the house so we could get a food shop delivered before we arrived. Also gave us lots of information about surrounding area. Very happy.

A lovely house in a wonderful area
This property has everything - lots of space, big garden, friendly ambience. What’s more you have spectacular scenery, fun days out and the bright lights of Glasgow all on the doorstep. The owner made every effort to ensure our stay was a success. Children and adults alike all had a terrific time. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic!!!
We have just rented this property for a family weekend with 12 adults, 9 children and 2 infants. The property couldn’t have been more perfect. There was plenty of space and nothing felt cramped, including sleeping arrangements. The property was clean and tidy and had everything you could need. The host was very accommodating and incredibly helpful. Chris was on hand for any queries and was happy to help in any way he could. Location was ideal for local amenities, but the property was so relaxing we spent more time relaxing in the house than I would have imagined. I would highly recommend this property and I am very confident we will be using it again in the future.

We had one of the best holidays in this cottage. We were a group of 24 including children and grandparents and this cottage caters for every one. Our Host Chris was fantastic, we reached the cottage quite late (close to midnight) and he was waiting there for us and gave us a tour of the cottage despite the lateness. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen and living room is very big with enough and more space to accommodate our big group. We were cooking in the kitchen every day during our stay and it has enough utensils and necessary accessories for that. Kids loved the trampoline and tree house. Chris also provided us a BBQ stand and we had one of the best bbqs there. On the day we were leaving one of the kids ear ring was missing, we reported it to Chris and half an hour after we left the cottage his excellent cleaning staff found it and it was returned to us. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and recommended this place to everyone!!!!

Fantastic Positioning
We had a wonderful stay in the house, 15 of us on a family get together. The house was well designed for a large group. The highlight was the gorgeous garden and the proximity to the town centre, supermarket and train station. Everything you needed was just a short stroll away.
Our hosts were very nice and had left us homemade brownies & jam which were delicious.
All the bedrooms had a bathroom pretty well next door. We had been confused when reading the plans and had thought this wasn’t the case, so that was a fantastic surprise.

Outstanding
Beautiful property, excellent location, and property owners outstanding and friendly. Would do this again and recommend to anyone wanting a great home rental in a central location. You get the best of both worlds, quiet rural town but close to bustling city center. Easy access to all main roadways.
We had a family reunion at this property and it was perfect! Cannot say enough...

Amazing place and best host ever
We were really happy that we had booked such a great place. To be honest, Chris was the best host we have ever had. The information he gave us about the surroundings, restaurants and things to do was amazing and while we never had visited Milngavie, it seemed we already knew more about the place than our birthplace haha. Also, we could order groceries online and he made sure that everything could be delivered. The house itself was really nice. We had a big group and we could sit inside and outside. It was very clean, we got towels, and Chris made sure we all had a nice bed to sleep. We had an amazing time in Milngavie and we would recommend everyone to book this place.

Wonderful time!!
We stayed here during my sister's wedding in early December 2018. When I saw the pictures, I was not happy and at the time I felt the place is quite old. Surprisingly, the place was wonderful. there are 2 small bedrooms upstairs + 4 bedrooms on the first floor. The host actually prepared milk, bread and cereals for us "just in case you guys will be hungry" - he said - as we arrived around 11pm - quite late - he leaves next door and stayed awake waiting for us. Really appreciated. Also, he also has a little information book, which gives all info you need (ie. take away food, taxi, where to go, how to use dishwasher, etc.) Big garden - suitable for BBQ Even the curtain is thick enough to keep the house warm, the color of it does not match the house (already told him :) ) Location is quite far from City Centre - about 30 mins by car. In general, I would highly recommend this place to my friends, and absolutely I will stay here again if I ever travel to Glasgow again.

An ideally located villa
Chris was the perfect host. Nothing, and I mean nothing was too much trouble for him. We had a last minute change in numbers and Chris was flexible and helpful throughout. He was committed to making our stay an excellent one. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. This was our second visit to the property and our entire party enjoyed the spacious villa and the amenities offered.

Lovely home perfect for our family group! We celebrated Christmas as a family. Perfect location.
We enjoyed the house which was in a charming village with good heater (important in winter!) Our host and hostess were very welcoming. Thanks for the goodies they provided us and the good advices to buy local food. A memorable Christmas for all of us.

A really great place to stay!
Upon arrival the house was immaculately clean! Chris showed us how everythng worked and ,as he lives next door, would be available should any problems arise during our stay. The house has everything one could possibly need including not one, but two,
fridges. There is lots of space and the house is light and airy. There is hot water in abundance and the heating kept us very warm on chilly days!
Location is fantastic. The local station is 150 yards away and the pedestrian shopping precinct with restaurants and shops is a 3minute walk. If you have a car there is private off street parking in the garden area of the house.
I cannot say enough about the host,Chris. He was willing to do whatever it took to make our stay comfortable! This was our second visit and we WILL be returning next year!

Beautiful property, easily accessible
We booked the house for a work trip to Glasgow and weren't disappointed. If you don't want to drive, the train station is only a few minutes' walk away with plenty to do in the local area. The house itself is huge and well kept and was a perfect escape in the evenings. The owners were especially helpful and nothing was a bother. There are bedrooms and a bathroom and toilet on the ground floor while everything else is upstairs. Perfect for escaping the busy-ness of the city.

Fantastic Hen Weekend
Just spent 3 nights at the house which was ideal for a group of 20 Hens!! Big house and garden and the weather was perfect!
Well stocked kitchen with all appliances you would need - ideal for large groups. Lovely big garden - a few more sun chairs would have been baeneficial to such a large group! As there was 20 of us a 3rd shower would have been helpful but all and all a great weekend in an ideal venue!
Special mention to Chris who was very helpful and promptly replied to any queries we had with very useful information and suggestions.
Thank you for a great weekend!

Spacieuse villa.
La villa correspondait à mon attente. Nous étions 17 personnes et nous n’etions pas à l’étroit. La maison était spacieuse, propre et proche des commodités (gare, centre ville). Je recommande cette villa. De plus, Chris était au petit soin avec nous.
