Cozy, clean, great location! Short drive to the beach to watch the sunset over Lake Michigan. Near great restaurants yet rural enough to see starry skies!

The property was clean and as described. Although it is only 2 bedrooms. The kids loved the bunk beds, and the school playground nearby. Close walk to the little town, and only a short drive from many fun activities and beaches.

Overall, the house was clean. This is not a 3 bedroom house as the listing states. A pull out couch in the living room does not make a third bedroom. When you are traveling with teenagers, privacy is important so having a third bedroom is important to us. The kitchen is nice and well stocked with dishes and supplies. The bedrooms were fine but the beds not too comfortable. The living room furniture was okay but the sofa seemed a little bit dingy. We did enjoy staying in this area as it is a short drive to many of the towns we were visiting for our vacation.

Fantastic communication. Great property. Walkable to Fennville and a short drive to anywhere else you’d want to go. Do yourself a favor and book it now!

Charming house, good location
The house was very tidy and has plenty of character. Nice antique accents throughout and we appreciated the well stocked kitchen and laundry. It's in a great location for beach hopping or wine touring. Good communication with Dave and a very enjoyable stay overall.
On an aside, a grill on the patio would be nice addition.

Nice stay
Property was clean and well maintained Check in process very simple Within half hour of our destination points Listing states 3 bedrooms although there are just 2 which was not a problem for us Would recommend

Quiet, convenient location
This was a great location for us-close enough to Lake Michigan to spend lots of time at the beach but quiet at night. The little town it's located in has a couple parks for kids and a few restaurants, but is quite small. The house is easy to stay in, with all of the essentials (although a few more plates and somewhere to hang wet swimsuits would be nice). The only issue I would note is that there were a lot of air fresheners; the weather was great, so we just opened a lot of windows, but the smell was quite strong.

Quiet slice of Heaven
Had trouble getting into the house initially, so look for the emails you get when booking even if it was 3 months prior. The house is very nicely maintained, and there are plenty of supplies for cooking and living. The house manager also left plenty of information about things to do and places to eat in the area, which was nice. The neighborhood is very quiet. The beds were a bit hard but not terrible. Close to Holland, Saugatuck, and Douglas for all your beaching and shopping needs. Definitely would consider staying again if I'm visiting the area.

Ants, and an unethical property manager.
The property was fine, it is what you expect at the price point. The town is charming, welcoming, and has things for both kids and adults to do. It's also 20-30 minutes from many other places and things.
Our real only issue was with ants and with Dave the property manager. We notified Dave of the ants by the front door as soon as we saw a large group of them moving a crumb from under the couch towards the doorway. We aren't picky people, we kill them and wipe up the floor. Next day, more ants. I messaged Dave and told him of the issue. He responded saying that "ants have never been an issue before." That's an obvious lie considering the four preexisting traps and a can of Raid Ant killer under the sink; regardless, I tell him I will pick up some additional bait traps on our way home. The response I got was, and I quote, "Copy" . No call to action or reimbursement on his behalf. I get traps, put down 3, spray 2 large nests outside of the front door and call it a day. 2 days later, another large gathering of ants right outside of the front bedroom door. I follow them and they're leading straight towards a gap in the trim just outside of the bedroom. I kill them all, spray some more, adjust the traps and message Dave. I give him the rundown. He sounds surprised and he claims someone will be out that day to spray. We weren't home until that evening but saw no evidence of anyone spraying. My wife left her sandals outside of the side door to dry in the sun and they were undisturbed. There was also no flag or other identifier letting people know to keep children and pets away as is customary with an insect treatment being applied. Considering there is an elementary school literally in the backyard, you would think any self respecting terminator would do that.
So, we ask Dave if he is willing to waive the cleaning fee. His response, and I will quote, "Nick, As long as you leave us a good review not mentioning the ants, we would be willing to give you $XXX.xx back. Would that be fair enough? If so, I would need your address as we will be sending you a separate check outside of this site. This site would otherwise take a piece of that too..."
This review is my response. I'll gladly swallow W of the cleaning fee to shine light on the ethics of Dave and save another family the headache. I have video and photos.

Comfy Little Cottage
The property was very well maintained inside and out. It had been remodeled and/or updated including top of the line appliances. Kitchen had great selection of cookware and dishes with lots of countertops. Main bedroom was small but very comfortable bed and linens. Didn't use second bedroom which had bunk beds. Plenty of room, nice dining area and living room.

Charming
Well-kept and maintained charming cottage. Very clean with everything I needed for an extended work stay. Lovely area, quiet neighborhood. The owner is a wonderful person, easy to work/talk with and very quick in responding to any questions I had; and very helpful when an unexpected circumstance arose. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Quite Little Town - Just what we needed.
We had a wonderful stay in Fennville, Michigan. The owner of the property (David) did a great job with responding quickly to various questions that we had. We are so grateful for him opening his home to us for our Michigan getaway. If you have younger kids, this property backs right up to a school playground and baseball field. Really cool place to have a vacation. We highly recommend it!!! Thank you!!!

Nice home away from all the noise
Home was very nice and just as advertised. We loved how the setting was away from all the traffic and noise. Checking in and out was hassle-free. We would certainly recommend this home for anyone traveling to the Saugatuck/Holland area.

Comfortable Stay, Decent Price
The location was great for visiting many attractions in the area. Less than fifteen minutes away from almost anything you want to do. Highly recommend the lavender farm and Sailing Saugatuck. Check in was easy and the property was clean. There were many items to make your stay comfortable.

Nice price and everything you could need for a stay away from home!
Good location on edge of town next to school with easy routes to West Side County Park Beach and Holland. Better than a hotel!

Avoid
The owner is desperate in getting some income for his investment, to the point of doubling the cleaning fee to clean his 1,000 square feet dwelling and begging repetitively for a 5 start review.
He claimed that the unit was left dirty when in fact the home was left in a brooming condition.
Particularly all towels were nicely folded back on bathroom shelves, the garbage was put in large bags since no garbage disposal service is paid for by the owner.
From my side, I had to live there for three days out of six with no AC in 90 degree weather. Also, there is a strong sewage smell at night particularly that is very incommoding.
Seems like a typical bait-and-switch scheme, as price seems moderate at first but owner tries to hold back deposit illegally.

Wonderful, clean, roomy home!
Four of us stayed in this home for a week over the 4th of July holiday. We loved it! The home is roomy, very clean and in a great location! We were able to visit several beach towns that were all within an hour’s drive of the house (Grand Haven, South Haven, Holland and Saugatuck). There was also a beach just ten minutes down the road. The home was well stocked and was within walking distance of a grocery store. Cranes and Fenn Valley Winery were great places to visit in town. It was very quiet while we stayed. We will definitely keep this home in mind for future visits!!
