About this apartment rental
A superb, contemporary apartment in the centre of the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed with excellent amenities and the stunning beaches of the Northumberland coast on the doorstep.
A contemporary apartment in the centre of a historic town
The period building, a former City Electrical factory, has been renovated to a very high specification by the renowned eco construction company Maden Eco. Inside the apartment is exceptionally light and bright and furnished in soft, muted tones in keeping with the fresh, contemporary restoration of the building and the seaside location. Vibrant fabrics and the owners’ delightful collection of local artwork bring splashes of colour and sit alongside quirky objets d’art and renovated period furniture sourced from the good selection of antique and restored furniture shops in the town.
The apartment is on the third floor with views across the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. There is a lift up to the apartment in addition to stairs and the accommodation is all one floor and therefore suitable for less mobile guests.

We enjoyed our stay. Moira the owner was very helpful and went out of her way to collect us from the train station when our arrival was delayed. The apartment was convenient for catching buses for days out. The welcome tray was appreciated and the apartment had all the facilities we needed for our stay. We would stay again.

This beautifully-appointed apartment was perfectly located for walks on the wall, catching the bus to explore the coast (Bamburgh! ) and enjoying delicious food at local cafes and restaurants. The apartment was furnished with many thoughtful necessities including a welcome box of bread and goodies.

Had a wonderful time at the Meeting House. The apartment was very clean with a very well equipped kitchen. There were some lovely touches as well. A well stocked welcome pack including bread, milk and various preserves along with little vases of flowers. The flat was very comfy and would definitely stay there again.

Berwick stay
From start to finish this was an amazing place to stay, beautiful apartment made to feel like a home from home. The owner was warm and friendly and accessible. The location of the apartment was perfect. A 2 minute stroll to the centre of Berwick, the beach, harbour and lovely restaurants such as Audella, Autellier and Mavi, a fab Turkish restaurant.
The owner had thought of every home comfort. There was a gorgeous ambiance, welcome food box, selection of teas, treats and chocs and a biscuit barrel crammed full, what’s not to love!! It was so well equipped and decorated, immaculate, we all felt we could have lived there permanently!! All toiletries were included, even wash tabs for the dish washer, and much more besides. A glorious place, would definitely return in the future, all 3 of us were agreed upon this, absolutely beaut! Thankyou Moira, an absolute delightful place to step x

Great base for Berwick upon tweed
My family had a great stay at this apartment in July. The apartment is very centrally located and well furnished and supplied for our stay. The welcome box with cereals / eggs / milk etc was a very nice gesture and the owner had put together a lot of helpful information about the local area (restaurants, places to visit etc). The managing agents Crabtree and Crabtree were also very kind and responsive.
We would highly recommend this place!

Fabulous comfortable flat in central location!
It was a delight staying at this flat, would highly recommend. The owner has given this property great thought and provides a very homely comfortable flat which is very thoughtfully decorated and equipped to make any resident very comfortable. The delightful honey and beautiful bread left for us on arriving was a lovely touch! This property has been renovated to a high standard, with lots of the original buildings charm left, I come from Berwick and remember this as a very run down derelict property many years ago, good job done by the architect/ developer!

Great Location
The apartment was well presented and had everything we needed for a successful holiday. Central location was great for getting into town and the train station was 11 minutes by foot. Town location was great for exploring the east coast of Northumberland. Lots of castles to explore, now need another holiday to recover from all the walking on the golden beeches. We were blessed with a great weeks weather and we will be back for more.

Just as nice as it looks in pictures
My mum and Nan have returned today from The Meeting House. They come to Berwick every year to visit family. They said this is the nicest place by far they have stayed. The owner is very accommodating and did everything possible to ensure they has a comfortable stay. As the property was ready she let them collect the keys early. Very comfortable beds and great central location. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you

Really nice apartment.
Absolutely delighted with the apartment, immaculately kept and within 5 minutes walk of the town centre.
Just a quick note, you will be charged extra from a company called "Homeaway", who as far as I can tell run the website and bookings for Owners Direct. I did not realise this when booking, and it took some Internet detective work to find out who and what they are, though it is in the smallprint somewhere, it won't show on your invoice. I was charged just over £30.

Berwick a superb holiday venue
Apartment was clean and well maintained and had lots of lovely homely touches. Owner provided cake, tea and milk on arrival and beautiful fresh flowers which were much appreciated after such a long drive. Apartment was within the walls and provided free parking and was minutes from all amenities. I would definitely recommend to my friends.
Derek from Berwick Tourist office gave an excellent walking tour of Berwick and we went into the gunpowder store, the ice room and into the gun placements (places usually locked) as well as a very informative talk. We also went to Lindisfarne but couldn't go to Farne Islands to see the puffins as boats weren't operating due to mist and rain.
Transport links excellent, we went to Edinburgh and Newcastle by train and to Bamburgh Castle. We also used local buses which were frequent. We really needed another week to see the many other interesting places near by. It was our first visit to the north east and we would like to return.
