About this house rental

This first floor handicap accessible condo is truly one of a kind! 75 ft from jumping in the ocean! Stunning water views from every window! It has a fully equipped kitchen. Appliances include a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. This home has hardwood floors and tile. It features a renovated (2018), handicap accessible first floor bathroom complete with roll in shower. First floor bedroom has an adjustable queen size bed and attaches to the newly renovated bathroom. First floor living area has a queen sleep sofa. It also features a large second floor bedroom and newly updated bathroom with a stand-up shower. The second floor bedroom features a queen size bed. All furniture and mattresses are brand new for the 2018 season. There is a quaint dining area. The main living area is open with sliders that walk out onto a private, large, accessible deck. Your backyard is the sand and the ocean! The beach and the surf are right there. Not somewhere off in the distance. The back deck is outfitted with a gas grill, comfortable seating to enjoy the view in a relaxed setting. The condo also comes with 2 kayaks, a floating beach wheelchair that goes from the hard surface, over the sand and floats right into the water, there is an out door storage container outfitted with various beach toys. Enjoy daytime beach activities and moonlight walks! SUNDAY TO SUNDAY RENTALS DURING 7 DAY STAY PERIODS! AVOID THE SATURDAY TRAFFIC.

This unit was renovated for the 2018 beach season to transform it into a fabulous, ACCESSIBLE beachfront rental.

The accessibility simply means that you have extra space in the bathroom and floor plan in general. This home was created based on the universal design principles to create an aesthetically pleasing space with a few small tweaks to allow accessibility to occur for any family whom travels with loved ones with disabilities. Welcome to our home!

SMILE Mass New COVID Procedures

- Do not come to the SMILE Mass Truro house if anyone in your party has been sick or traveled out of the country in the past 2 weeks.
- Take your temperature upon arrival and do not enter the SMILE Mass Truro house if anyone has a temperature above 99 degrees F.
- All renters are required to wear a face mask when in any common areas.
- Our beach is private, but we are still required to maintain 12 feet distance between groups on the beach. That allows 6 feet on either side when somebody needs to walk by the groups.
- Groups on the beach can be a MAXIMUM of 10 people.
- SMILE Mass has provided hand sanitizers at all the sinks.
- All bedding, linens and towels from the prior tenant has been completely removed and taken off the premises for proper cleaning.
- The entire unit will be cleaned and sanitized by a professional cleaning company between all guests.
- These rules apply to any guests or visitors you may have during your stay.

We had a perfect week. The townhouse was very clean with plenty of room for the five of us. The ocean views and sunsets were amazing! Having a washer/dryer there was very helpful. Towels, sheets and a shower bench were supplied. Our host was readily available to answer our question. Only critique is that hand held shower was installed too high. We are certainly planning to return next year after having such an enjoyable week. Would highly recommend, you would not be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this accessible townhouse. The backyard to beach was great, loved listening to the ocean all day and night. Quiet area, but close to all the action when we wanted it. Host was very responsive and helpful.

As a vacation rental we gave it a 9, but our group member in a wheelchair thought as handicapped accessible it only got a 7 (still pretty good). He couldn’t get in the front door by himself, no mirrors low enough to see himself in, sink in bathroom too high with no legroom underneath, no accessible shower head (with out assistance) and it couldn’t be turned off at the shower head. No trash can in the bathroom.

Husband uses a power wheelchair for mobility, but can still takes steps to get to bathroom with assistance. So this condo worked fine for us. Adjustable bed was perfect as this is what we use at home. We did not try the floating beach wheelchair.

As always a wonderful experience, Glad to see the new ramp off the living room giving outdoor access, Only downside we couldn't master the TV and the adult movie selection was very limited, couldn't even put my own account into the netflix, only suggestion would be to consider adding a lift system to the ceiling would only create larger client base, As always we enjoyed our stay Thank you so much for making this possible without places like this we couldn't enjoy a vacation.

This townhouse right on Cape Cod bay was a beautiful spot to see both sunrises and sunsets. The upstairs bedroom is the quieter of the two being away from the street. Check in was easy and any questions we had were quickly answered. Everything was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. We found that if you are light sleepers it is best to use the upstairs bedroom especially if the people above are heavy walkers. Other than that we loved our stay and cannot wait to come again.

I am so glad that I was able to stay in this property with my family. It is very accessible. The fact that one can just walk/wheel out to the beach is amazing. The view is breathtaking. The instructions on what to do while staying on the property were very clear. Lotte and Susan were very responsive to all our queries. This place is a gem.

Great location - it was really nice to be on the beach. Our daughter is in a wheel chair and the shower was easy to use which was very helpful. The water chair also was great for her but be prepared to push on the way back as the water is down about 10-15 feet from the unit. The unit was well equipped for cooking and we used the BBQ a couple of times for cookouts. All worked out well.

Beautiful handicap accessible ocean front condo. A rare find for sure! Finally a beach that we could take our handicap son to, truly a dream to have a condo with the necessary handicap amenities. The owners of this property were so quick to respond to any questions and attentive to every detail. Waking up to the ocean front was amazing. Also the restaurants in the area are amazing. This was a handicapped accessible townhouse on the ocean in Truro Cape Cod. I have a daughter in a wheelchair and it was the first time I could take her on vacation with us in a long time. This unit came with a roll in shower with a shower chair. A bed that you could remotely elevate. It also came with a floating beach wheelchair that could go right into the ocean. My daughter loved just floating in the ocean. Thanks to Smile Mass for making this vacation possible.

Everything about this property is perfect! The accessibility is a dream come true for beach lovers. Our family had the most amazing week. My daughter who uses a wheelchair was able to enjoy swimming in the ocean, kayaking, and being independent in a beautiful beach house. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation! Beautifully appointed unit directly on the beach. While it is on the beach, so are the neighbors. The view is lovely and the unit itself is outstanding in every detail but the close proximity to neighbors is not something we are used to or like. Thank you for a nice stay!

Our family had a great time at this property. My two senior parents - one in a wheelchair - and my husband and myself, all fit nicely in the two bedroom, two bathroom, unit. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were a great privacy space, with a gorgeous balcony view right out to the bay. We were woken one night by the sound of large waves. It was awesome! The downstairs bedroom had the wheelchair roll-in shower, but oddly no grab bars near the toilet - which I mentioned to the owners. So a point off for that but the rest was great. The beach outside the sliders, with a mat to roll a wheelchair out on, was wonderful. My handicapped California mom was instantly cheered up by this experience. We even put her in the beach wheelchair and got her down to the water. We’re already making plans to go back - but on a less popular point on the calendar. The neighbors are on either side of you and the walls and floors are paper thin. I had to complain a little the first night because a bachelor party next door wasn’t obeying the 9pm quiet time. But the owners were extremely responsive to the complaint and the remaining evenings were just perfect. Almost want to keep this place a secret.
